=Cmdr. Snedeker=
*Commander Barry Snedeker, the Interim Governor of Kuar for the Clan Or'dinii and the Mando'ade, sat back late one night in his office, a half flask of tihaar at his elbow, and three datapads spread out on the desk in front of him. One contained reports on restoration and construction projects throughout the city. A second showed military preparations, and the last showed economic data on the fledgling commerce passing through the planet in its' function as a trading center along the Koros Trunk Line. It had been a good few weeks, and the colonists were adapting well. Snedeker almost didn't even feel like reading the reports. He knew everything they contained from his daily walks around Ajinvale, both as himself for formal visits, and in disguise for candid appearances. But he could not in good faith send the Aliit'alor an update if he had not first reviewed those of his staff. With a sigh, he took another swallow of tihaar and began to read. At the touch of a button, he was quickly presented with a list of projects, each one a link to the gritty details.*
Restoration Projects
- The Imperial Governor's Mansion and Seat of Government - On schedule - 56% complete
- Ajin'yaim Spaceport - Restoration complete - Re-opened to all traffic
- Electrical Grid - All repairs completed - Testing in progress
- Water Supply - Secured
- Holonet - Operational - No repairs needed
*Well that was good. It seemed that the city had largely been repaired to the previous Imperial standards, and that all major utilities had been repaired. Barry scanned the rest of the list, and saw similar notations, then moved on to the second file contained on the first datapad -- the readouts from the new construction projects across the capital city.*Construction Projects
- Weapons Emplacement Pad #1 - Complete
- Weapons Emplacement Pad #2 - Site selected - Construction 15% complete
- Weapons Emplacement Pad #3 - Site surveys complete - Site selection next week
- Shield Generator Power Substation - 50% complete
*Barry nodded slowly. The facilities for the city's new defenses would be completed ahead of schedule, if the secondary data from these files was correct, and he had done the mental math correctly. Sliding his finger across the screen, he reviewed many more such entries. With a sigh, he finally set aside the first datapad and took another drink. He was glad that he did not have to personally review the budget items for those projects. The amount of detail presented was already stifling and stupifying as it was. He really didn't care which color coveralls the third shift's duracrete workers wore, and he certainly didn't care if one brand of purple coveralls cost a quarter credit more than another brand.*
