Re: Bastonica

*The men said nothing, they simply hooked her by the elbows and guided her. They entered the prison center. Tall dark walls lined with strange crimson writing. There appeared to be no doors or windows, and yet it was as if the panel covered walls held all of the secrets of a dark empire, in fact people could swear that they heard the walls whisper.

The two guards were as silent as death itself, refusing to even glance at the prisoner. They stopped at a seemingly random point, with no notable intervals. One guard stepped forward and pressed points of a panel, like an invisible key pad. There was a moment of awkward silence, and then, then the sound of grinding was all that could be heard. The shuddering whispers fell silent, and the grinding crank of machinery was the new voice in the hall.

Panels parted, revealing a room behind the wall. The room held a cot and a toilet in one corner. That was all there was. What was this place? It was like a rejected section of hell, bringing only shame to its occupants. This was the infamous "Abyssal Pit" of Bastonica. The guards gestured for the woman to enter, watching her silently.*

Re: Bastonica

*With the lack of the desired reaction, the soldiers pushed the woman into the room, one followed deactivating her stun cuffs, while the other trained his weapon upon her. The one in the room stepped back, ready to shoot should she attempt to flee. There was no attempt, and with that, the men pressed the invisible key pad once more. Panels slid down, shifting and locking to make the room as obscure as it was initially. With that, the two soldiers marched out of the prison, and returned to their duties.*

*The various agents continue with their roles as citizens, keeping up with local news and watching for any sort of irregular actions by the government.*

Re: Bastonica

*Several of the agents keep up their ruse, acting their role of civilians in the Byss society. While they did this, two hotels were picked for watching the Dark Legion's Castle. Out of the total of ten people in the city, there would always be four watching the castle from the rooms booked in the hotels. One room in each building, with two guys in each room. They would then take six hour shifts with the other agents on the planet, just so that they could keep up their cover by building a profile and watch the castle. Now, any ship or escorted personnel that left the building would be noticed and recorded.

Meanwhile, while four agents were watching the Dark legion and the other five were socializing, the last one would be watching the spaceport from a distance, making sure that no major military or political occurrence happened without them knowing.*

Re: Bastonica

*T'was the night before christmas, when all did see a magical moment on Byss. As was tradition, One week before New Years Day, the citizens of Byss would celebrate a holiday created by Emperor Palpatine. This holiday involved festive singing and parading through out the city of Bastonica, as well as the decoration of home fronts with lights and greenery. In the center of the Royal Court, a massive tree was erected and decorated. The tree stood well over 300 feet tall, imported from Kashyyk. The tree's branches were lined with lights and ornaments, on the top of the tree stood a proud, gilded gold, Diathem statue.

The streets were filled with chatter as families bought presents for one another. Crime was even at a low in the slums of lower bastonica. Everyone knew what time of year it was.*

Merry Sithmas!

*From the spies hotels, they could see numerous gatherings at the Dark Legion Castle, though they were not meetings with malicious intent. Oh no, they were parties and festivals. Festivals where Nexus was seen multiple times, even the War lord was seen at these festivals, dancing, eating and drinking. It was one of the rare occasions where he was not seen in military attire, but rather in a set of stunning robes. There was no strife on Byss, everyone enjoyed the rare moment of peace. And it was rumored that Nexus would go to the Royal Court for the final ceremony, bestowing gifts upon his citizens.*

Re: Bastonica

*The agents watched the streets with a grin, knowing that there wouldn't be too much of a ruckus on Christmas. As soon as one of the agents spotted the war lord in his stunning outfit and hosting the parties, they knew they could relax at least somewhat. The agents that were patrolling the streets went back to their comrades in the hotel rooms, bringing some fresh take-out as well as some blue eggnog to celebrate the holidays.*

Re: Bastonica

*Sithmas ended on a good note. Being one of the more beloved holidays on Byss, there were no severe disruptions, only a few alcohol related incidents. Through their campaign, the Dark Tide had reaped a fair share of spoils from Csilla, including technology and treasures. This gave the economy such a boost that every house hold received a gift from the state. Though some were modest, all were appreciated.

The children of Byss gathered round to receive gifts from off-duty dark legionaires while parents gathered in the Row of Kings to hear Darth Nexus give a great speech on family values. It was an ironic thing, being spoken from a man with no family who knew only violence. Then again, if one such individual saw value in family, who would be right to speak against him.

At the end of the night, festivities were closed by a massive fireworks display, some of which involved the use of military technology for deployment. Their was a great parade as the Dark Tide forces returned to their duties and Byss returned to its usual self for five more days, until it was the eve of a new year.*

*The agents of the city went by unnoticed, they played their cards well, though they managed to have a few run ins with the average drunk legionair who would ask what they were doing alone in a hotel room. Though these close calls came, they passed without incident.*

Re: Bastonica

*Indeed, Sithmas on Byss ended on a good note. But, it was time to get down to business. Heading out on the streets, these agents began to get in contact with the more seedier part of society. No matter how good a planet's security force there was always some sort of criminal organization on the planet, even if it was a small one. While some of the agents tried to spread the word to them that there were smuggling opportunities down on the Hydian Way trade route by Serenno and the systems around it, the others went over to the local cantinas to inform those that were interested the same thing. The agents made sure to do this discretely, avoiding putting attention on themselves and telling those that would spread the information to the right people.*

Re: Bastonica

*The lives of the spies continued on as usual. Checking in on a pub or two from time to time, seeing if anything of interest would arise from the cantina gossip that flowed through the air. Daily but unscheduled checks on various patrols were kept up, as well as a general watch on the fortress nearby. Followed by a quick check of their six as they made their way back to the rooms for some sleep, making sure they weren't being tailed by other agents.*

Re: Bastonica

*Bastonica was busy, as usual. The city had a tendency to expand continuously, and now covered over a 150 mile radius, though much of this expanse was because of Urban Sprawl. Now much of Bastonica was outside of the walls of the tiered center. Even so, the city center lost no life, as it was still the commercial and military capital of Byss.

Today, the center was more crowded than it had ever been. There had always been mutterings of the Dark Tide's annexation of Korriban. Private industry capitalized on this prospect, hiring explorers and adventurers alike. Though after all of this time, the military had never fully settled on the planet.

Today that was going to change. After receiving orders from the Dark Lord, High general Reaver ordered the assembling of a new military branch, which was to serve the purpose of protecting Korriban.

The recruitment stations were crowded, and the training camps on the outskirts of the city became filled with life once more. Men were getting ready to go to Korriban. Their training would be a brief one, teaching them the basic tenets of the military. One month of their training would take place on Byss, while the remainder was completed on Korriban itself.*

Re: Bastonica

*Over the past several months, the agents continued to watch over the city and it's activities. They took notice of the recruitment drive in the city. Several agents had gone down into the bustling streets to investigate the exact purpose. Something was going on in Korriban, but that was all they came up with. After sending the info to HQ, they went back to work with studying the city and it's habits.*

Re: Bastonica

*All was going well in Bastonica, things were moving, as they always were; but amidst this monotonous routine guided city, there was a darkness lurking. The darkness had disguised itself well, slipping past the guards and security protocols; it had infiltrated Bastonica without a hiccup.

The darkness gathered in a plaza; it created a horde. This horde did not have a uniform, nor did it look different from the onlookers; but it was a horde, and they gathered, waiting to attack. They watched, waiting, ready to strike. That was when the music started.*

:: Doe...a deer, a female deer... ::
*A man stepped out of the horde, hoisting his hands in the air in front of him, then pulled them in and repeated the motion. Dropping into a crouch, he did the unfathomable; he danced to 'The Sound of Music'. Oh but the madness did not stop here, as he was followed by a little girl who repeated the motions, joining him into the dance. Then they were joined by two more, then four, then eight, then sixteen. The number grew, as did the horde until the entire plaza was filled wall to wall with these dancers. Bastonica was under attack, the notorious organization known as 'Flash Mob' attempted to assert their dominance.

That was when the Dark Legion showed up. Salvation at last! The legion did not warn the mob, they simply took aim and fired, slaughtering all of the annoying little dancers; as their screams filled the air, Byss citizens cheered and applauded the efforts of their brave soldiers. In the end, there was all but one man standing...and he was still dancing! These people were insane, and needed to be helped; and so the Dark Legion helped him. They helped the man by beating him to a pulp with clubs, breaking his bones until he could only nod his head to an imaginary beat. The legionnaires looked at him with disgust before extinguishing his life with a heavy over handed strike with a bat to the man's skull.

And that was the end of the flash mob. Hopefully Jace's spies enjoyed the entertainment.*
