Re: Castle Ventress

Xedas looked at Zaeken for a moment, and whispered under his breath

"Zaeken..."

Tilting his head slightly to one side, Xedas thought. It had ben years since he had heard his name, almost as long as he had been on his own. It took him a moment to remember, but when he did, he met Zaeken's eyes, and spoke proudly

"Xedas."

*Zaeken stares back at the boy with an appraising glance. Showing niether approval nor disdain. The boy would not be his friend. The dark-side was not forged in the fires of friendship, love, or kindness. This boy would be shown hatred, fury, and lastly respect and power.*
You will receive a new name in time, Xedas. For now, your training has begun. Follow me.
*Beckoning the boy with a clawed hand, Zaeken exited the medical bay and headed for the training area.*

Re: Castle Ventress

Somewhere in Xedas, he knew that this strange, brooding man lay his only hope for survival. Not for the first time, he had found himself torn from the world he knew, and thrust into one that he didn't. Xedas knew that he would need Zaeken to survive. And so he followed along faithfully

*Zaeken approaches the doors to the training area and pushes them open. Inside, a pair of metal rods, each about 3 feet in length lay on the floor. Zaeken removes his cloak and grasps both of them from the floor. Tossing one to Xedas, Zaeken spins the rod in his hands and calls upon the darkside.*

Re: Castle Ventress

Xedas looked around the huge room, and fumbles the staff, dropping it to the ground. He winces at its clatter on the floor. Expecting harsh words, Xedas was to be only further confused by Zaeken. Attack? Why would he attack? Xedas, not understanding Zaeken's odd behaviour, or the sudden wieght of power filling the room, crossed his arms and cocked his head to one side, not in defiance, but it confusion

Re: Castle Ventress

Xedas winced as Zaeken yelled, and was just about to shift when he was blasted backwards. Unable to stop himself, Xedas hit the wall hard and slid down to the floor, gasping in pain. With that pain, his concious mind, what little civilization he had managed to gather or remember, fled. With a wordless, animal scream, he flung himself forward, rolling on the ground over the metal staff. He never even came to his feet, simply swinging the rod at Zaeken's knees as he slid to a halt a few feet away, hissing angrily.

*Zaeken leaps into the air over the boy's attack at his legs and lands behind his head. Kicking hard, Zaeken aimed his foot at the back of the boy's head.*

Re: Castle Ventress

Xedas's head lurched forward with the kick, his nose flatening with a sharp crunch. In his stae, Xedas didn't even feel it. He simply rolled to his feet, and leapt at Zaeken, metal rod swinging wildly in his left hand at Zaeken, right hand lashing out equally wildly, fingers curved, nails, long since hardened and thinkened by use, as sharp as any beasts claws

*A grin curled across Zaeken's face. This boy had ferocity and resolve. His combat abilities transcended those of dozens his age due to his sheer force of will. Zaeken reached deep into the mind of the boy through the force and pried into wat the boy feared most above all. Using an illusion, Zaeken projected this into the boy's mind surrounding him with terror.*

Re: Castle Ventress

On the outside, Xedas seemed to collapse, curling into a small ball. But on the inside, he was lost in a world of blue, where water ruled, and mosterous beasts were always on the edge of vision. His aware mind, the him that was truely in control of himself, recoiled in horror, and screamed. Water filled his mouth, and he jerked, loosing still more air. He felt his mind shutting down, saw the monsters of the deep sweeping closer, coming in for the kill. In his last moments, Xedas's animal nature took over, thrashing wildly, driving him up to the surface and air. When his head broke through the surface of the water, he returned to the real world. He rolled onto his hands and knees, and promptly vomited

*Zaeken watched as his apprentice convulsed and collapsed. Progress would be slow, but the boy was learning. One's deepest fear was not overcome in one instance. The boy's training would push him to the limit. Zaeken waved a medical droid in and sent the boy off to a sleeping chamber in one of the Castle's Towers, training would continue the following day.
The boy's training would extend through other teachers than himself. Learning to speak and understand the ways of the universe would also need to be taught to him.*

Re: Castle Ventress

Waking in a strange bed, Xedas rolled to his feet. He almost collapsed when his head spun, but he rode it out, and stayed standing. He had no idea where he was. The animal side of him began panicking, and he had to fight it down to stay in control. What little he had managed to regather from his life before bairly held him together, and he lowered himself down to sit on the edge of the bed

*Zaeken strides into the room and looks down upon the boy. He had been put through extreme change in the last few days, much of which he had never seen or encountered before. Similar to his own personnal experience with his old Master Hazeus. It had been ages since he had made contact with his old master. He considered doing it while his apprentice rested and spent some time roaming the Castle on his own. He would have other training than his own to deal with.*

Re: Castle Ventress

After a while, Xedas heaved himself to his feet and moved to the door. He poked his head out, and looked around. With a shrug, he stepped outside the room, and began to wander. He still wasn't comfortable in the company of others, so whenever he saw a person or a droid, he'd either hide, or turn and head the other way.

Re: Castle Ventress

*Zaeken turns his head upwards as a transmission echoes through the halls of his chamber.*
:: Master we are receiving a mass-message from Korriban. The Sith capital seems to be experiencing some problems with the Mandalorian empires. Should I prep the Sadistic Glee for you? ::
*Zaeken twists his head upwards at the mention of Korriban being in trouble. As the ancient resting place of dozens of Sith Legends and the grave of billions of his people, he knows he must go to the planet's aid. The mandalorians would defile the sacred ground with only their bones and blood.*
On my way... let Xedas know that I will be away for sometime.
*Zaeken rises and deactivates the Holocron before him, this was more important than a conversation with ghosts. Heading quickly for the hangar, Zaeken sees the ship in final stages of fueling and climbs aboard. The Dreadnought was covered in the burnt-black skulls, blades and red battle paint and nearly filled the entire hangar with it's bulk. The engines roared and the behemoth slowly crept towards the rising sun and off into orbit.*

Re: Castle Ventress

*The YT-2400 light freighter arrived at the landing pad now for Castle Ventress and, following normal docking procedures, landed upon the castle's landing pad. The landing skid's came down to allow the light freighter to sit upon the ground and following this the entrance ramp extended, making contact with the ground and awaiting Marcus's exit from the ship. As Marcus walked toward's the exit of the ship he checked his equipment to make sure he had everything on him, he noticed that his set of knives were missing and made a quick stop in his quarters to pick them up. Finding the cabinet in which he kept his weapons he started equiping his dagger's on his belt, examining each one to make sure they were well conditioned before putting them on. Then after he had his five dagger's he picked up a black cloak he had laying around in his quarters and threw it over himself. Now he made his way to the ship's exit and stepped onto the ramp to examine the castle sitting before him. Extravagent he thought as walked down the ramp and stepped onto the landing pad before walking to the edge of the landing pad and looking over the rest of the area around the castle.

In the distance he saw what appeared to be a spire of rock, he believed this to be the cauldron he had heard about when coming hear. An arena in which most of the judicial system of this planet was based off of. What a glorious site Marcus thought and as he examined this spire of rock his droid pilot exited the freighter behind him. It spoke to him thus breaking his concentration on the spire and focusing him again on the task at hand.*

=Droid Pilot=
"Sir should we make our way to the throne room now?" *Marcus turned to face the droid now and walked over to him to glance at the door to the castle. His expression was quite intrigued at the prospect at getting to examine the castle from the inside now as he responded to the droid.*

=Marcus Verangon=

"Yes I'll make my way there now and well I'm heading there I want you to make an announcement to the locals. Inform them that I am the new ruler here and not only that but my first act as ruler I will be hosting a grand tournament in The Cauldron for anyone who would like to participate or watch. Inform them that the winner will be given a special prize given to them by me personally and that they will be rewarded greatly for such a victory."

*The droid processed the request now and answered back with a quick "Yes sir" response now before re-entering the freighter and taking off so that he could go inform the inhabitants of the recent turn of events. Well the droid did that Marcus made his way into the castle and slowly made his way to the throne room, examining the decor and designs of the castle well he went. Exquisite he thought as he examined a design that revealed so much about the planet's bloody past which brought joy to Marcus's heart. As he arrived in the throne room of the castle he inspected it's design quickly and after a short examination of the throne he sat upon it and glanced at the door to the throne room. What a nice place to carry out his reign over the planet he thought, he definitely would enjoy it here.*

Re: Castle Ventress

=Alternate timeline(After the battle against Lapay for Rattatak)=

*Defeat! That was a hard concept to swallow. Especially for Marcus who was a person who had become so accustom to victory as of late. This moment of defeat rattled Marcus in its simplicity. Apparently Marcus had indeed not have been strong enough to take on the man who had come here to challenge his supremacy which left him with only one option. He would have to retreat for now, with his apprentice along with him, and remember this defeat for the future. He would remember it, relish in the hatred it brought, simmer over the shame of his loss, and one day he would use all these feelings to return to this place and destroy the man who had beaten him. When he defeated him though he would make sure not to allow him the courtesy of life like he had done with Marcus now. He would make sure the man's death would be filled with self-pity, mutilations, and torture! In fact he may just leave the man to die of starvation and age after he was finished torturing and mutilating him. This defeat was never going to be forgiven in Marcus's mind....but for now it was time to flee with his life so that all those wishes could be made into a reality. His apprentice would need to be trained for the things that lay ahead and he decided he would start his apprentices training as soon as they had come into a time when he could be properly made into a true force user. Marcus had gathered all his belongings and now would make his way to his ship with his apprentice following him closely from the rear.*

*It was best that they should feel the sting of defeat now, Marcus thought to himself. Not only could Marcus use Tesar's training as a means of taking out some of his frustration at their loss but it also gave Tesar even more negative emotions that he could focus on to make his training go even quicker. Tesar still did not have any idea of how to use the force, nor would he until he was made aware of how to sense/acquire the force around him. He would need to be trained the core abilities before they could move on to training him how to use the darker, more powerful nature of the force! He would be taught how to bend the force to his will, turn it into the tool it was made to be for people like them and then he would be ready for the universe. He glanced at his apprentices bandaged left eye. There was signs of blood soaking into it at this point and they would need to be changed so enough, he decided he would need to replace the eye Marcus had removed from him first chance he got but that was not on the top of his priorities list. So he stopped glancing towards his apprentice and focused on their quick escape from this planet, he felt no doubt in him that his apprentice may find it amusing to have seen him humiliated like that but he supposed he'd just have to wait until the next phase of his apprentices training to break that sly smirk Tesar might have about his defeat.*

*As the two finished gathering the things they needed they entered Marcus's YT-2400, his personal droid pilot awaited him at the ramp that led inside the freigther. It made a short bow to the two as they entered and then shuffled in behind them, the ramp automatically pulling itself up and retracting back into the ship, before passing them to go pilot the ship. Marcus followed in behind him glancing back only to make one suggestion to him before moving on. His voice was serious and stern now rather than its usual arrogant tone. "I will have the droid show you to your quarters and I'd suggest resting up for now, we've got a long road ahead of us and you will need you're strength for what comes next." With that he left Tesar in the room in which could be considered the "hangar" of the ship, Tesar would only be alone for a few moments before a droid would show up to lead him to his quarters on Marcus's ship. Marcus on the other hand made his way to the bridge of the ship and took a look at the co-ordinates that were put into the ships piloting system. Taris was the location they were heading to now, Marcus's plans made going their a neccessity. Marcus had withstood injuries from his battle with Lapay but it seemed the frustration from this setback kept him able bodied enough to check up on the ship before checking up on his own injuries. Marcus and his apprentice would take some time to get to Taris which would give them enough time to recover from their previous bouts. The YT-2400 carry them took off from the castle's landing pad and headed towards orbit, there it got clear of the planet and went into hyperspace. A long road lay in front of them but now they had finally taken their first steps along their soon to be blood covered journey.*
