Re: Cloud Mother

*Quite eratically, the Combat Cloud Car belonging to the blue Squid, Linxy, managed to get to the Civilain Flight Deck without trouble, the fox-like creature checking around, on Cloud Mother, it was only those of real importance to part in the Administration Decks, and by damned would he be seen by meer..... peasants! With a twitch of his blackened nose, he ran towards the turbolift.

He got out, and stopped, sniffing the air, his eyes narrowing, and a sneaky smile spreading across his face. A newcomer, eh? He looked for the post, almost delicately, another trainee!*

"Ah ha! Found you! Nice entrance, loved it how you used the narration buttons. We don't get much of that around here. I'm Linxy, roleplaying trainer of Ithor. How'd you do? Yes, well, I must say, at least all our grammar and structure's correct! But a force ghost isn't green! Well, is it? I'm not sure now... see, look what you made me do! Going to have to check Wookie now... wait, I'll do that later. You're a newbie, right. I get it, I feel ya buddy... but you know what gets on my nerves? One liners... yep, you got it. What you just done. C'mon, don't you think that you could have put more feel into your post. After all, you are writing a story! You are passionate about star wars, you've just materialised into a Herd Ship hovering above Ithor.... you could roleplay what you feel as you phase through the relativistic world and the etherael one! Then, once here, you could remark on a nearby plant... we have lots of plants... and maybe post why you're here? Haha, sorry, I'm not being nasty... this is my job, see. I get paid for it. Now, when you answer me, do you think you can take what I've showed you and use it? Maybe? Try."

sorry I am for posting such a short entrance, think of anything more I could not... try to speak normal I will *coughs* sorry about that *looks around* truly this is a most beautiful planet, peaceful and serene...

*the ghost of what used to be a little green man seems to relax a bit as the conversation goes on... being rather new to this place, even if the name has been around for awhile, he seeks to learn as much as possible from all those he encounters*

Re: Cloud Mother

*The blue mammal stands, hand on his hip, tapping his foot. His claws slapped against the smooth, gray ground, creating a very loud, echoing tap in the now-silent hallway. He scrutinized the newcomer, his nose twitched, and his eyes narrowed. If you looked closely, you could see small, fibre-sized blue hairs flying out of his fur at the action of tapping his foot, which slowed down almost immediately, and fell to the floor.*

"Not bad... not bad at all..."

*He said, sharp teeth showing for meer seconds. He proceeded to walk towards the small, green being. A ghost, eh? He had never trained a ghost before... haha, what would his brother say? Never mind his brother... what about his mother? They all hated the fact he came into this job anyway. He stopped right infront of him, and the post did not go unnoticed.*

"Well done, actually. For a first response to my over.... zealous... attitude, it wasn't bad. You even got some action in there! Haha, go you! Yes, very well done. And yes, I agree, it is peaceful, isn't it? See... wasn't that so much more fun to write than just a one-liner? I think so... I love writing epics! No, wait, that's Murr... wait, we're the same person! SHHHHHH! Anyway...."

*He said, his voice trailing off as his eyes seemed to see right through the ghost... wait, did he actually just narate that?*

"Your roleplaying skills aren't in doubt, it's how you apply them. I can see that you aren't a bad roleplayer... like some I've had to deal with. You just don't genuinly know what to post. Have you every tried getting 'into' your character? Like his mind frame?"

Re: Cloud Mother

*A research vessel docks with Cloud Mother gently. It had only been gone a matter of hours and wasn't due to return for many more. A group of scientists disembarked, the younger ones muttering discontentedly about their trip being cut short. Finally an old, bearded scientist stepped off, obviously the head of the expedition. He looked pleased despite the loss of his research project. He turned and motioned for someone to follow and what emerged took away the breaths of the docking crew. Vyrr Arc'aina stepped off the ship and looked around, smiling despite the terror he apparently struck into those watching. He looked down, upset with the reaction but the scientist put an arm around his powerful muscles and lead him on. He walked in a funny sort of hobble - using his arms in a four-legged stance at one time, bi-pedal at others.

The old Jedi Padawan, who was self trained to what would constitute a Knight, padded through Cloud Mother talking to the Scientist about what Jedi he would find there and how to re-establish himself within the Order which had long since forgotten about him...*

*The fearsome Jedi Knight returns to the scientist who rescued him with a look of mixed disappointment and hope across his face. He stands before him propped up awkwardly on his long arms as he looks up at the man who towers above him and smiles*

It would appear this place cannot provide me with the Jedi interaction which I desire so I must leave to find it

=Old Scientist=
I understand. You've lacked Jedi interaction for too long, it must be all you want for right now. I've heard rumours of an academy on Ossuss, it's in this sector so you'd find it easily. I'd suggest you go there

*Bowing to the man*Thank you very much for all you've done. I shall repay you one day. May the Force be with you

*With that Vyrr headed off to the space port in Cloud Mother to find a transport. Getting there was not difficult as it was quite a well laid out city, but some of the looks he got were discomforting - he saw mothers pull their children from his path, teenagers laugh and zabrak at him and a group of drunken sorts loudly accosted him. But with his usual sense of good and righteousness Vyrr merely responded to all with a smile (admittedly one which would make babies cry) and a bow, offering the drunks his hopes that the Force guides them and protects them.

Once at the space port Vyrr found things much more difficult. The majority of captains refused to even discuss the possibility of taking him to Ossuss, most citing that it's out of their way but Vyrr saw in their mind that they feared him. The Bothan Jedi refused however to use his Force abilities to alter their thinking, his Master had always taught him that people should be free to choose their path even if it conflicts with what is required. The next captain blatantly laughs in his face before looking him up and down*

=Captain ???=
And you're planning on paying how?

I am sure the Jedi academy on Ossuss would gladly pay my...

=Captain ???=
Oh you're sure are you? Cause I ain't heard that before! On ya bike mate, no money up front? No trip!

*Vyrr refused to get disheartened however, the Force would always protect him and guide him and he delighted when he saw a manifest for a ship delivering perishables to Ossuss. He approached the captain, a rather young looking Human, with his usual smile and good grace but the captain was at first reluctant*

=Captain Steve=
Ossuss you say? Yes that's where I'm going. Not sure if they'd welcome your...sort there though

I assure you captain, I am a trained Jedi knight. For over a quarter of a decade I had been lost on Ithor and I have recently found an escape, I now wish to travel as quickly as possible to the Jedi academy

*The captain looked at him distrustfully, scanning his tattered clothes and strange appearance*

=Captain Steve=
You don't look like any Jedi I've seen...

I am aware of that fact. I am a Bothan but many years surviving in the Ithorian jungle had a somewhat adverse affect on my appearance

=Captain Steve=
You got a weapon?

Not one. My Master's and my own lightsabers were destroyed in the crash which stranded me on Ithor. All I have is what you see before you

=Captain Steve=
Well then, I suppose I've nothing to say no to. You'll be in the cargo bay mind, I've no room for guests

*Smiling and bowing* That would be perfect, may the Force protect you and guide you for the kindness you have shown today

=Captain Steve=
Ermm..... and you, I guess. *Leading Vyrr to his ship - a gleaming new YT-1930 with a brilliant blue streak down it's centre leading from the cockpit.* Here she is - the Elyse. I'm the captain, Steve, on board I'm Lord and Master, you do as I say. *Pointing to a small Ithorian man working on the underside of the ship* That's my co-pilot, you'll listen to anything he says too. Understand?

Completely. I'll simply meditate in the cargo bay alone and you won't hear from me until we arrive. I am Vyrr Arc'aina

*The captain grunts a reply which could have been positive or negative, he gave no inflection either way. He pointed Vyrr in the direction of the boarding ramp and moved to inform the Ithorian man of the development. Vyrr moved through the ship alone. He had been aboard others of the YT series and this was designed with a similar layout.

He sat on the cold metal floor of the hangar bay, cross-legged with his hands resting in his lap. His eyes were closed and in the darkness an unwary person could easily be startled by the image. He was deep in meditation, he saw his Master and remembered all his teachings and all he had learnt before and during his time in the jungle. He was soon to be returning to the Jedi, he had much to tell them and wished to be officially granted Knight status. As the ship jerked up into the sky, Vyrr felt nothing, he was speaking to his Master through the Force receiving guidance.

Up in the cockpit, the captain was in a good mood as he piloted the craft up through the Ithorian atmosphere. His co-pilot was less so, voicing his negative opinion of the man in their cargo bay and the risk they were taking*

=Captain Steve=
Tendar, good is rewarded with good as my mom always used to say to me. Just trust me ok, my ship, my decision.

*With a grunted reply, the ithorian took the controls and the YT-1930 cruised off the planet...*

But he made a living, being forgotten by the Narrator also was no small thing. He was deeply hurt, but he was just happy to be up and about again!*

"Yooooo hoooooo? Anybody here?!"

*He called out, looking around.* *Cloud Mother was smaller and more dingy than Tafanda Bay, but it had all sorts of things. Essentially, it was Linxy's to do with as he pleased, since it was the site where he trained roleplayers.* *That narration brought back sad memories,* *though, he only ever had one student before the roleplaying void. Fingers, digits and extremities crossed, though, that there would be plenty more on the way!*

*He looked down the board, and noticed that there had been someone roleplaying here while he was gone.* *Not too bad, either, although it was best not to comment. He wouldn't want to incite any hatred or anything. For people not knowing who he was, it could easily be led into some kind of infraction report...

That's why he liked to add in his bit when people arrived in orbit! Why not? They know what to expect then, even though that looser on the comm controls always threatens to have him punished. No one can punish Linxy... he was hired by the Chief of State!*

Re: Cloud Mother

Tomaga tapped her delicate fingers against the transparisteel that separated her from the outside world, or at least that of the herdship. In her deep eyes the abundance of green foliage found both within and without her domicile was reflected. Over her skin she had finished lathering on an aloe mixture that allowed it to shine with a nut brown glamor. Early morning ablutions that allowed her to begin her day without much fuss or worry.

But still there was much to do as she bustled around her house, watering and feeding the plants. A wide smile came to her offset eyes and she hummed and sang to each plant as she made her rounds on them. Even those outside the house were attended to happily. Breakfast came, as usual, from a great tree that produced a figlike fruit and from several others. Soft bread that had been baked fresh the night before and lathered in a sweet spread of preserved fruit. She wrapped up the food in a soft brown cloth so that she could easier carry it out to the back of the green houses where a friend of hers slept under the warm roots of a wooroo tree.

Ever cautious, Tomaga approached him quietly, her eyes turned up and toward the sun in praise of another fine day, a gift as any other day. Coming upon the tree she looked up high into the branches, but was unable to find him. With a great shrug of her shoulders she set out a long towel and folded it so that she would have a slight cushion against the knotted roots of the tree. Across from her she set half of the loaf of bread and several pieces of fruit on another small blanket and sat to eat her own breakfast with extreme gusto.

As she had cracked open the jar of preserves, she could hear a rustle in the tree top and just make out a glimmer of green and silver eyes as she turned her eyes towards the noise. She continued to move at her long, smooth pace spreading the preserves over the bread and then beginning to peel open a fruit. The sweet tangy nectar that emanated from the deep violet coloured flesh hit the nostrils of her friend hiding in the trees above.

She could hear his stomach rumble even from his height in the branches over head. Humming softly she set the jar of preserves on the blanket at the roots. With the fruit she made several exaggerated gestures in showing how to peel it. Simple but possibly tricky. In one hand she took the fruit and in the other she took her slice of bread to hold up to her mouths. From each she took a bite and chewed thoughtfully.

Above the male Thallassan stared in slight awe as she ate both foods simultaneously with the mouths lining the sides of her long neck. To him it seemed a very odd process, but the melodious sounds she had made before seemed to speak to the very depths of him, almost giving way to his apprehensions. But no, he would wait until she went away, and if she left the food before he came down. She had left him food here at the bottom of this tree for the past few days. All of it had been in the form of vegetation and though he appreciated the gesture very much, he dearly missed the subtle taste of flesh, particularly from fish.

Tomaga finished her meal and sat quietly under the tree meditating for a few moments, waiting for her young friend to join her. But after a time, she stood and decided to try and become better acquainted with him another day. There were many other things to see to in the day rather than wait the ages it would take for the boy to come down from the tree. Ever since she had first caught sight of him, it had been a constant series of glimmers and sounds.

When he was sure she was far enough away, he slithered down from the tree, hanging upside down from the branches to pick up the food and return to the high boughs above where he consumed them ravenously. There had to be a better way of finding food here. But these Ithorians were very stingy with letting people go over the side of their great herdship.

Try as he may, every time he thought to venture over the side of the ship he was caught, thrown in holding for a couple of nights and then released. It was not a life he was particularly happy to live, however the temptation to go down to the planet's face was far too tempting. He did not bother spreading the preserves as neatly as Tomaga had before, and he simply sliced the fruit open with a finblade, too anxious for food. He ate quickly and with gusto all that had been offered to him, but looked out over the tops of the trees longing for more.

Gently he sighed and climbed higher into the tree top to gaze up at the clouds and sun, feeling every inch of its warmth on his skin.

Re: Cloud Mother

*Wenth Linkon was simply walking through Cloud Mother when he sensed it. Well, it wasn't exactly 'simple'. As one of the priests from Tafanda Bay, he had acute training in the Force, but that's not why he was 'simply' in Cloud Mother. No, truth be told, he was there because he was the secret trustant of Murr Flen. Had been for quite a few months now - just before he had 'frozen' for nearly a year! But, as loyal as he was, he had stayed on Cloud Mother to continue his research for when Murr Flen awoken. He had recieved no word that he was alive and walking around Tafanda Bay, for Cloud Mother was relatively a quiet, residential place.

Wenth thought it strange to sense such an alien mind in Cloud Mother. It was far less intergrated than Tafanda Bay, the capital and example of all things 'Ithorian'. He had several datapads and datacubes, plus datacards, in a carrier basket that he held on his shoulder, since he walked relatively slow he didn't need to worry about it falling. It contained research on the old Ronove Order, specifically for Murr Flen over at Tafanda Bay. He had never let a single Datacard go out of his site! It was all so top secret, no one could know what he was planning to do. Delving into the Dark Side was something very controversial with Ithorian views on Life.

But Wenth was not the average Ithorian. He thought himself to be, but in effect he was totally different. Like Murr Flen, and even like Ninkon, he had begun to think that the Ithorians right now were too vunerable, too weak, and with this whole new Galactic politics spreading, it wouldn't be too long before someone wanted Ithor in their little Empire. Who wouldn't? The Crown Jewel of the Mid Rim! She was beautiful, and was a great morale booster. But the Law of Life forbade killing, or even arming, on a mass scale. Under Murr Flen, Ithor's pacifism had held - just. He had wanted a security force almost a year ago, people thought he would have to be exiled! But now, Wenth understood what he meant.

And so he had carried on with his mission. He had found it very mundane, as Murr had ordered him not to look at a single peice of knowledge that he had found. He had found it at various places on the Ithorian Archives. He wasn't permitted to travel to Tafanda Bay and use the wise Baffor Council locked away in one of the secret biodomes, and they would know everything he would need to know! Little did he know, Murr Flen had ordered him not to read information incase Wenth became corrupted with Power, for that was the one thing he didn't want. Ithorians could deal with power thrust upon them, but if they actively seek it, then they turn bad. Like most people, actually.

Back to the topic at hand, the Priest-in-training had sensed something, definately sentient, back in the residential block. He decided to check it out, and turned around, bringing his stack of data with him. On hindsight, that might not have been a good idea, but he was curious.

It didn't take him long - in Ithorian terms - to reach the source of the disturbance. A set of residential greenhouses. What in the blazes could be hiding there? He saw a female Ithorian - one he didn't recognise - walking away from the greenhouse that he had sensed. Braving up, he stepped towards her with an Ithorian smile, too difficult to be recognised by non-Ithorians.*

"Greetings my lady! What a fine morning this is! I am Wenth, Wenth Linkon, from.. eh... from the Greenhouse Cooperative. I haven't seen your face around here before! It's strange, for I often frequent these parts! You haven't heard of our little group, have you? Well, we formed so that we could look after the Greenhouses from those who don't share... similar... qualities. Now, there's been some.. unofficial reports of some strange goings on around here. Do you happen to know anything about it? Perhaps a stranger lurking about? You know, things that usually wouldn't happen in this part of Cloud Mother."

Re: Cloud Mother

Tomaga exited her greenhouses head bowed slightly but into the smiling eyes of a male Ithorian. She started, but then found herself offering a kindly smile in return and bowing her head respectfully. He seemed relatively normal, but to her there was just something slightly off about him, like he tried just a bit too hard to hold her gaze or make his smile seem more genuine. She waved the feeling of oddness aside for the moment and listened to him carefully trying to catch every word.

"I am sorry Mr. Wenth, I have not heard of your representative organization before, however I have only been set up here in Tafanda Bay for a month. I still have some settling to do here. I previously made my home on one of the other herd ships among my family. We all thought that it would be a good idea for me to see more of the world among the clouds."

She waved her hands wide indicating the grand sky above them before bringing them back to clasp gently at her chest. Her head tilted gently to the side as she gazed into his eyes with bright the green orbs of her own. He searched for odd happenings, and he asked in a rather odd manner. The questions and how they were presented made her hedge away from him slightly. It seemed too coincidental, not that she was normally a paranoid person, but it was almost too convenient that he searched for someone strange and that someone strange happened to find refuge in her in her gardens.

"Perhaps you can tell me more about your organization and what you might mean by 'something strange' over a cup of tea? Many strange creatures are bound to be drawn to the unique life here in Cloud Mother, I am not certain what you may be searching for, though I am intrigued to hear more about it..."

Her arm pointed back in the direction of her small house flanked by a row of fruit trees. For a moment she waited to see what he would say before she blinked slowly. It was not that she particularly wanted to hide her young friend, it was more that she did not trust this man. He pretended too much to be something that he was not, or that was the overall feeling his presence seemed to give her as she looked into his eyes. It made her skin crawl gently over the back of her long neck.

Re: Cloud Mother

*Wenth had thought he had literally wooed her. Even though he was lying through his back teeth about the organisation which really didn't exist. She seemed receptive enough, which shows how much he still had to learn about reading people and their inner motives. She was definately up for seduction, and then perhaps he would get all information he needed about this new presence he had sensed earlier. But wait, he was an Ithorian. Ithorian's didn't act like he was acting. He suddenly realised, with a shake of the head, how easy it was to simply carry on with a facade, and use lies to achieve what you could get with hard work.

He felt ashamed of himself. Wenth had been in Cloud Mother too long, and out of mainstream, respectable Ithorian society for even longer. It was time to amend his wrongdoings. He might not be perfect, he might not have been good enough to be High Priest, but he was certainly good enough to respect himself and what he felt was right. Decieving this innocent was far from what he deemed right.*

"I... I am sorry, m'lady. I have been untruthful here. I hope you'll forgive me, I had meerly wanted to check out a.... hunch. I decided the easiest and most inconspicuous way of finding out if you knew anything was by lying, so I am deeply sorry for what I have just done. I hope that you can forgive me."

*He looked around, as if deciding if he needed to say something else. Nothing came to mind, though, except one idea. One that he had never actuallyt thought of before this had happened. A coincidence, perhaps? Or did he had to just go that tad bit too far before he could be redeemed in full?*

"I know this sounds like an excuse, but I do believe that the atmosphere in here is infectious. Cloud Mother feels tainted.. hostile... segregated. Have you ever been to Tafanda Bay, madame? It's totally different there. A work of art."

Re: Cloud Mother

*Hugg was busy in his administrative office on Cloud Mother. He was head of his herd and that put him, basically, with as much power as that drasted Murr Flenn when it came to his own hovering city. Not as big or as glorious as Tafanda Bay, Cloud Mother saw little traffic, and very little in the way of excitment ever happened. But now was a time for excitment, for Hugg was just forwarded a message from half way accross the galaxy.* "About time!" *He said, reading through its contents, and again, and put his datapad down.

Hurridly, Hugg drafted a message to Murr Flen on Tafanda Bay and sent it. He didn't even check it for spelling mistakes. Usually it was alright and he didn't need to change anything, but in his haste he might have forgot something. Never mind; it was time to go!

Hugg quickly gathered his things and went to the hanger bay. Once there, he checked that he had his protocol droid and his life partner onboard, and took off. All in all, the process took about thirteen minutes.*
