Food smells delicious as well Ji'dai. May I ask what the both of you really came here for? Going to make this a Ji'dai outpost and leave the Sith out completely?

<< As well he should. >>

*The image of a young man padded across the ruins, his eyes softly burning with crimson fire. His skin was white, as soft as silk, his hair peroxide white and his slender body androgynous in its beauty. Only a Tarisian noble, born from centuries of careful inbreeding and infanticide, could produce someone as perfectly terrible as this. And with the characteristic Y-shaped scar on his right eyebrow, it left no doubt who it could be. His appearance brought back memories to Svo'k - the Jedi girl they had gone back in time to kidnap, the love that she had had for Tyris, the Portal to the Netherworld, the Temple of Demortus, Tyris' serene face as he slit the girl's throat, the way he said the words "Thank you, old friend. I need you no longer." And most of all when he hurled his old friend through space and time to land in the way he did. Tyris had betrayed him in a way that even the most heartless of Sith Svo'k knew would cringe. And now here he was, looking as beautiful and intelligent as ever, a smile curling his lips.*

<< After all, it was the Sith who destroyed this place. Specifically, me. >>

I shall make sure of that and I will work with the pathetic weaklings here and make sure that this is once again a Jedi and Sith safe haven. Not only that but the greys shall be banned from this place as an order and shall have no say what goes on in these walls. It shall strictly be a Jedi and Sith safe haven. >>

*Svo'k's gaze hardens his red eyes narrow as the thoughts go racing through his mind.**What to do what to do? What was there to do with Tyris present. Should he kill his old friend? Of course in time it would probably be a good move, in time it surely would but now was not the time. Now was the time to rebuild the council to what it once was, not what it had become. The grey could not be welcomed as an order, they were puny and weak.*

*Tartarus threw his head back and laughed.*

<< "Jedi?" "Sith?" You speak in terms that no longer exist, old friend. The Jedi are scattered weaklings who mewl and whine on worlds too strong to attack but not strong enough to regain what they lost. The Sith are divided and bickering over what few habitable planets remain in the Galaxy. The Grays are less an Order and more a motley collection of hobos and vagabonds who lacked the discipline and strength it takes to adhere to any teaching. Both Jedi and Sith are heretics who cannot follow the teachings of their own Orders. The Jedi grow weaker and lack the strength to fight back. The Sith grow stronger every day, and then through stupidity and laziness lose it all again at night, only to regain it the next morning, and all the while the Mandalorian mercenaries gain power by whoring themselves out to whoever has enough money. This Galaxy is too small for another Council of Knowledge. I destroyed the first one because it was no longer needed. >>

Oh, and he was here at the time the Asherah opened up her turbolaser batteries, so if he returns I will be extremely surprised. >>

*His red eyes moved back to Svo'k and burned mockingly.*

Food smells delicious as well Ji'dai. May I ask what the both of you really came here for? Going to make this a Ji'dai outpost and leave the Sith out completely?

*Svo'k shakes James' hand then crosses his arms still smiling at the Ji'dai.*

*James shrugged slightly, and turned back to take the bubbling pot off the stove and set it on a crude table nearby.* "There is nothing to be afraid of here." *He replied mildly, partially mistaking the Sith's meaning.* *The pot smelled delicious to the hungry Jedi, and the smell permeated every nook and cranny of the rustic but homey outbuilding that the Jedi had made their home as they investigated the Council ruins and pondered the future of this hallowed place.*

"Our mission here is to create a place for students from our Academy to be sent as a learning experience, to mingle with those from all walks of the force and learn from them. In order to accomplish that, we seek to re-establish the Council of Knowledge as it once was. Not as a Jedi Enclave, but as something bigger than that, a place where all are welcome." *Jon reached over to a shelf and took down three bowls and three large spoons. As he turned to offer a set of dishes to the young Sith, he paused for a second, and noticeably tensed as he sensed the Tarisian walking past, outside among the ruins. He followed Svo'k's gaze out the open doorway into the falling dusk. He could sense words passing telepathically between the two Sith.*

*Master Kortel stretched his mind out through the force, touching his cousin's mind. Yup. James had sensed to too, but was equally clueless as to who the man was or what he might want.* *After a moment's hesitation, Jon cast a sidelong glance at Svo'k.* "Friend of yours?"

Re: Council of Knowledge

*Svo'k pondered for a long moment at the Ji'dai's words thinking about everything he said.*

I'm fine with that Ji'dai, I just do not acknowledge the gray. They are pathetic and weak.

*The young Dark Lord looks out to the darkness listening to Tyris but brushing him aside for a moment. He looks back to the Ji'dai and sighs.*

A friend? Perhaps one would call him that, more like a rival alpha male that I have known since my adolesence. Maybe a friend. Friend is maybe too strong of a word.

<< Ji'dai, he claims to have destroyed this place and I think he wants to kill you as well. Perhaps it would be wise to, oh I don't know fight him? Or are there any balls in those pants? I'm not saying that all are not welcome but I will say that those who seek to destroy this place and it's in habitants should be removed perhaps killed. >>

*Svo'k looks outside again.*

<< Tyris my friend, I do not lust after Tanith anymore she was not the one for me. You make sure that you leave this place alone after we have established it. Ji'dai can provide us useful information simply by being amongst us. What better way to know your enemy then by learning exactly what the students of your enemy are being taught. >>

*Svo'k his his deception from Tyris and Jedi alike. He wanted nothing more than to have the Jedi do his bidding and kill his long lost friend, that would be perfect beyond the realm of perfection, it would be delicious. It would be sad to watch his old friend die but he destroyed his home and now deserved to die. Once again he had burried these thoughts deep within himself so that neither of the three could pick up on them.*

Re: Council of Knowledge

*James said nothing, feeling certain that the Grey were a discussion best saved for another time and place, once a better sense of mutual trust and respect had been earned between them.* *Instead, Korinth silently began to spoon out the warm, aromatic stew into the three bowls his cousin had brought down from the cabinet, although his attention was drawn to the phantom outside before he finished the job. Pausing with the ladle halfway between the pot and Svo'k's bowl, he glanced over Jon's shoulder at the shadowy figure lurking outside.*

~~~
"I see." *Jon continued to stare at the Tarisian as he finished setting the table, wondering if it would be better to acknowledge him, or ignore him.* "Well, you know him better than I do.--" *The Jedi would have said more, but Svo'k's telepathic warning cut him short.* << He may want to kill me, but does he dare break the peace of this place to do it? He is welcome, just as you are, provided that he does not exhibit aggression against this place and its inhabitants. However, if he attempts to do as you say, then we will surely be forced to act. >> *He could sense more force messages passing. What were the two saying to each other?*
Re: Council of Knowledge
*Svo'k audibly sighed at both of the Ji'dai.**This was typical, the Ji'dai wanted to play rainbows and unicorns ratehr than kill an enemy who was quite clearly here to cause problems. The soup still smelled delicious and made the Dark Lord's stomach churn.*
<< Never been a fan of reactionary force, I say kick his kriffing a** into the stars if he so much as hints that he is to cause trouble. >>
*Svo'k takes the bowl and slowly sips his soup, keeping his senses fixated on Tyris.**Svo'k simply did not like his presence here at all, even though he hid it to his "friend" he had made it quite clear to his Ji'dai friends that Tyris was not someone he thought should be allowed to breath.*
The soup is delicious Ji'dai. What all is in it? You must share the recipe with me.
*Svo'k licks his lip ring as his spoon scrapes the bottom of the bowl. Red eyes look up to meet the Ji'dai.**What could they think of him, he'd certainly like to know what it must be like for two Ji'dai masters to be sitting in the presence of a Dark Lord. This must of been a new experience for them, something about it made him smile. He knew that most Ji'dai were not fond of the Sith and he also knew that most were discouraged from any interaction with the Sith as well. This was going to be an interesting experience.*
So, I have to ask. What do you two honestly think of me? A Sith sitting down to dinner with two Ji'dai masters. Not something you're used to I would imagine.
Re: Council of Knowledge
(ooc) *And then something rather unexpected happened, because Svo'k's writer and Kay's writer were chatting, Kay's writer had been having a bit of writer's block elsewhere tonight, Svo'k's writer suggested that she post, and she decided to go with it...*
(IC) (Shh. Emotions, yet Peace...)
*A forgotten courtyard, with far more broken columns than simply the one fallen pillar which had served as bench and backrest for so many, and been so close to the heart of the Council's gathering place. A cantina, old bottles broken and many tables overturned. The Fountain Room; its laughter now silenced aside from the occasional haunted drip. Her beautiful apartments, open to the elements with her once lovely indoor garden now still beautiful in its own way but the plants choking and feuding with each other. Her oak tree; the one that Lux had so cheekily 'Surged into existence at the center of her atrium floor when they were young and this place itself was so new... Someone had cut it down and left the branches where they fell.
For the slender Jedi Healer who slipped soundlessly through darkened corridors with the fingertips of one pale hand trailing the walls, the walk the Council of Knowledge ruins was almost physically painful. There were so many memories in this place, and almost all held a keenly heart-piercing pain when experienced all at the same time. So many of the family they'd built here were now returned to the Force, and so many others were simply... lost. There were so many unanswered questions, and yet...*
(Peace... Take in a slow breath and let it out, just as always.)
*And yet, life found its way to begin again among the ashes. It always did, and even though the new life may be different, it was always still beautiful.*
*There was a faint light ahead. A slow smile came to Kaytren's lips at the sense of a certain Darksided and yet very familiar aura, and at sense of the strangers who were with him. Following the path of light in the dimness, the 5'7'' tall Jedi with deep chestnut hair and dark eyes softly found her way to the entry to the room in which Masters Kortel, Korinth, and her adoptive son Svo'k sat sharing a meal. After the lightest of knocks on the doorframe, she stepped into the room and spoke softly.*
"Hello, dearheart, and good evening to you, Masters... My name is Kaytren Li. May I join you, please?"
*Svo'k sighs again as his adoptive mother walks in.**He wasn't so much sighing at her but more at the fact that he was trying act all big and bad in front of his new Ji'dai friends and his mother walking in on the middle of it kind of made him look somewhat weak. No matter, he'd just act even darker except to Kaytren. This was something that was going to be a bit harder to accomplish but he could do it.*
Hello Mom. How are you?
<< Mom, you're totally embarassing me in front of these Ji'dai masters. I think. Now they're not going to be afraid of me anymore. >>
*Svo'k offers a warm smile to his mother as he looks at the other Ji'dai.*
These are Master's Korinth and Kortel.
*Svo'k points both of them out politely.*
Re: Council of Knowledge
=Jon Kortel=
<< I do not think he will actually dare to break the ancient oath of peace guarding this place. But I promise you, he will not cause trouble here and get away with it. >> *Jon turned away from the doorway and took his seat at the table, the strong smells of the stew now too strong for him to any longer ignore.* *His cousin was one of the best cooks he had ever met, and Master Korinth's departure from Corellia had no doubt been a great loss for the Academy's dining services.*
=James Korinth=
*James smiled as his cousin took his seat, and then glanced back at Svo'k as the young Sith spoke once more. An even bigger smile filled his face, for he was proud of his cooking.* "Well, I started with some bantha broth and various spices, and I added some very finely chopped and fried bantha steak and Corellian potatoes, then once it had simmered for a few hours, I added a number of local vegetables, and stewed it for another hour, until it cooked down to a hearty soup." *Seeing their guest scraping at the bottom of his bowl already, James was slightly alarmed at the size of Svo'k's appetite. Nevertheless, he motioned towards the pot in the center of the table, which was still two-thirds full.* "Help yourself...."
=Jon Kortel=
"What do we thing of you?" *He repeated, as soon as his mouth was clear.* "Well, that's a dicey question, to be sure. We've hardly met you, friend, so I'm not exactly about to judge you. You're more rational than many Sith I've met, and you respect the peace of this place. That is enough for me--" *His voice trailed off as a slight knock sounded at the darkened doorway.*
*Both Jedi glanced up in surprise as yet another new voice spoke to them, and the slim, lithe frame of a motherly looking, brown-haired woman was silhouetted in the square of darkness.* *Kaytren would no doubt feel the light, tentative touches of both Jedi Masters' minds as they tried to feel her out and read what sort of person she was.* *The two Jedi cousins rose from their chairs almost in unison as they motioned for the woman to come in.*
=James Korinth=
"Welcome, Ms. Li, and do come in. You're just in time for dinner." *As he spoke, he was already reaching behind him to take down another bowl and spoon from the rustic shelves behind him, and placing them at an empty spot at the table. Meanwhile, he saw his cousin dusting off another ancient chair, and testing it cautiously, before setting it in front of the new table setting.*
=Both Jedi=
*As Svo'k introduced them, both Jedi responded politely.* "Pleased to meet you."
*The name Kaytren Li sounded vaguely familiar to the pair of Corellian Jedi, and no wonder, given what a powerful Jedi and famous the woman had once been, many years ago. But neither one of them had ever actually had the privilege of meeting the great woman, and it had been years since they had even heard the name mentioned, so they did not immediately place her, even though they should have known from their studies that the CoK was once her home. One thing the did observe, however, was that she was definitely not a Sith, in fact, she seemed to lean towards the light side. Yet here this Sith was calling her "Mom". It was a curious set of circumstances to find a Sith who talked and acted as rough and tough as Svo'k had, yet allowed himself to be on speaking terms with a lightsided family member. There was much, much more to the young Sith than met the eyes, but they were polite enough to wait and observe, and neither Jedi remarked on the oddities they saw.*
Re: Council of Knowledge
"I'm well, Svo'k. And you?"
*A light smile played at the corners of her lips at the young Sith's chiding mental complaint to her. The impression of firelight behind her gaze remained a quietly sad one, though, and Kaytren did not reach out in specific reply to Svo'k as she continued to look around the place that had home.*
*When introductions with the two Masters had been made and Kaytren invited into the room, she slipped through the doorway and made a formal bow of greeting.*
"Thank you, Masters, and please call me Kaytren if you would like to. I've always preferred my given name."
*As she stepped softly into the lighted area, it became apparent that the dark-haired woman was still fairly young by many standards. Physically, she appeared somewhere in her mid to later twenties, certainly not old enough to have birthed the young Sith who called her mother, although something about the depths of the expressions behind her gaze seemed to suggest that she was perhaps just a little older than that.* *Moving to the chair that Master Kortel had set out for her, the Healer gave the two cousins a small smile of thanks and sat down.* *It had been a long journey with many memories in this place, and she was tired. Kaytren wore cream-colored Jedi robes beneath her grey traveling cloak, and there was a silver wedding band upon her left ring finger. A few scars were visible on either hand or wrist: four small crescent shapes on her right palm that told the tale of a fist once clenched far too tightly for too long, and two faded white lines that crossed over the veins on her inner left wrist.* *Sensing the feather-light mental touches of both Masters, she let down her veils of quiet control and allowed her aura to flare up with a deep, subtle, strength in the Lightside and an impression of pale starlit blue.* *There was a silvery-white lightsaber hilt at her side, originally crafted over the first several months of her pregnancy with her daughter in these same halls, and with a highly distinctive ivy vine pattern etched to swirl down the length of the handgrip.*
<<It's alright to ask questions if you wish, Masters. Or we could simply talk, but I do not mind.>>
"Thank you for sharing your supper."
Re: Council of Knowledge
(IC but mostly OOC)
*In another time, in another life, the former Jedi Knight Darwill Jinn™ had found himself standing before the once proud gates of the Council of Knowledge.
In another time, in another life, the former Jedi Knight Darwill Jinn™ had come in the name of compassion, in the name of love, searching for peace. And for a time he had found peace, albeit sorrowful peace.
Some time from now, in that other time and other life, Darwill Jinn™'s peace would become war, and that war would become desolation. All that the Council of Knowledge had once stood for would become a legacy for Jedi of the distant future to remember forever, and act upon wherever possible, in the hopes that some day the ideals that had allowed a group of Jedi and a group of Sith to put aside their traditional goal of elimination of the other, could somehow be rekindled - and this time result in a galaxy that was truly at peace.
But in this time, and in this life, the Jedi Knight Darwill Jinn™ had never left on his search for peace. He would never come to the Council of Knowledge in his lifetime, so perhaps the ideals of growth and friendship spread through the sharing of knowledge would survive to overcome the need for growth and cloak and dagger alliances due to war ...*
I am fine Mom. Just having dinner and a nice little chat with the Ji'dai here.
Truly delicious Ji'dai, truly delicious. You must write that down for me so that I can make it at some point in time.
*Valeks cloaked ship screamed across the surface of the planet. The green, rolling hills and crystal blue lakes flashing below him as he headed to the CoK. The ship neared the ruble of the old Council, Valek decloaking the ship as it came in to land about 30 yards from the ruins. The hatch hissed open and the young Sith jumped from the cockpit, his hood still draped over his head. Valek walked towards the ruins, using the force to scan for any other force users in the area. Valek neared the ruins, his right hand unclipping the hilt from his belt, but he did not activate it, yet anyways. Valek called out as loud as he could.*
Moria Hammerhand: Deceased ::
Kriffen hell.
*Valek screamed in an angry rage, a few larger boulders beside him shattered into dust. Valek was pissed. A mission to prove himself and the ones he was looking for were already dead. She pops the ramp and heads out quietly, the black clothes on her seeming so harsh against the green and grey landscape around her as the wilds of Naboo take back the palatial estate. She meanders around the ruins for a while finally braving a way through the crumbling ruins to the interior of the structure.*
*Deep within the farthest reached of the ruins, a woman paces as she always did this time of days. Long ago, so many years that she could not even count, the red headed woman had secluded herself within these ruins. Some might call this her purgatory, for Cara could not escape the memories that had dominated her mind here. Bare feet meet the pavement once and then again, each time echoing through not only the hallway but also within her mind.
Yes, it had been a long time since she had left the deepest reaches buried within the Council of First Knowledge, where she had taken refuge all those long years ago. But lately, she had been wondering out from both the central plexus. Each step taken her far away from the location that had been a testimony to the failure that one could have. Mistakes, so many mistakes… forever would they ring in the ears of the woman. But now she felt the need of someone so long held from sun light and fresh air to move upwards and way from the things that had once been. Although, she could not leave this place, instead she was called out of her shell by the Force.
Mediation and the need to find balance had become the only things of great importance of the years but now, there was a drive. One that she could not name, as if she was told to awaken from a long sleep. Yes, for the first time she felt as if maybe something was happening something that she might not yet know but that just might change the future and help her atone for the past.*
Re: Council of Knowledge
*Time had the habit of much like an ocean moving fast one moment and then slowly the next, for now it seemed to be a blur. It was impossible for her to count the days of her hermitage, all of the things that had happened throughout the years would forever be burned into her mind. But if she allowed them to feast forever, she would never once again be able to set to rights the mistakes that have been made. If to much longer she was left alone she was going to lose her mind, her own voice had been much to hard to deal with over the last few months.
Somehow Cara feet ended up taking her to what had once been the top part of the hanger bay. Blue eyes scanned the old dusty part of the building and came across her old ship. Now, it had not been taken great care of and was worse for wear but from what it looked like it was still in working order. Strangely enough, she thought of nothing as she got into the ship as if there was nothing to say or even see. Here was death and woman was alive even if for so many years she had let herself fain death.
Without looking back of even thinking, her hands touched the hull and she began to ready the ship. It could have been hours or minutes for she did not feel any time pass as she readied the ship. There was no thought of heading as she left, instead, her fingers moved by will of the force. The ship slowly rose into the air and even without practice in many years, Cara was off heading unknown to start a new live for herself and to truly live.*
