Re: Equator City

I am a Warrior, disciplined and true. It is the nature of things. I am a stone in a river. The river pushes and bends. I do not break. It does not stop. Though the river may be flowing slowly now, another storm is always on the horizon. And if I am caught unaware, I might be swept down stream. Hothar caught me off guard by using the son of Dragus against us. I will remain vigilant, so that such a disaster may not befall us again.

*Brulax spoke in a clear and smooth tone, clearly not upset or angered. He simply stated a calm fact before continuing with his meal.*

Re: Equator City

*Brulax could not help but eat in admiration of the woman across from her. Over the decades, he learned that the only person she lied to was herself. She claimed to be independant, but was fiercly loyal. She claimed to be uncaring, but had great compassion. She claimed moral ambiguity, but had a clear sense of right and wrong. She claimed to be only lucky (which she was), but had also honed great skill. She pretended to be cavalier, but when it came down to it, she was just as protective as he was. This all led her to a sense of fearlessness, but he was one of the few people to have ever seen the time when she was afraid. Oraltor, Vreegon, Salnor, Oram, and a few others had seen her so vulnerable. But now, nearly eighteen years later, he was changed, but she was the same woman who had befriended him those years ago and earned his respect. In between bites, he spoke.* How long are you on world for?

Re: Equator City

*Shiar shrugged, chewing anothing large mouthful. After a moment's thought, she swallows.* I don't know. Maybe a couple of days. But you know me. I've been settled here for way too long. I think that it is time for me to do some travelling. You know, move on. *Shiar began to scrape up scraps of food, not letting any go to waste. She did not want to look her old friend in the eye. She felt guilty about leaving, but she was bored.*

*Indeed, Brulax knew here well. She was happiest in hyperspace. He was surprise she had stayed as many years as she had, a true tribute to her loyalty to her friends. He nodded in thought.* If you make your escape, I might have an errand for you to run, if you are willing to go to the Outer Rim.

*Shiar looked up and studied the Sakiyan, trying to determine if he wer serious. Of course he was. He always way serious. She expected him to know better than to try to sway her, but hire her?* Sure. Yeah. Okay. I guess.

Re: Equator City

*A young Rodian walks toward the Grand Protector's offices. Although born into a poor family, Avaro has always desired to live a greater life. As soon as he was old enough he left his home and never looked back. Even now, five years later, they are unaware of his fate. He has taken many odd jobs around the two capital cities and has saved up his credits. Today, all his hard work and preparation would pay off. He confidently walks directly to the armed guards.*
IC: I desire to see the Grand Protector. I would like to ask him for a job.

*The guards exchanged a look. The looked at the young Rodian for a while, and finally one nodded toward to door, indicating entry to the area where the receptionist sat.*

Re: Equator City

*Oraltor rides back into the city, toward the temple. The previous couple months had been difficult. Oraltor's new apprentice seemed to have conflicting feelings about what he sought. Some days he put his all into his Jedi training, but Oraltor could see that more often than not, his mind wandered elsewhere. He contemplated the visions that his apprentice seemed to continue having. Granted, they were less distracting as of late, but they seemed to be guiding his apprentice toward some, as of yet, unknown end. In spite of the distraction, Oraltor was pleased by the speed of Landrin's progress. If he could learn more focus, Oraltor knew he would become a powerful Jedi some day.*

*Avaro knows that he is not following normal protocol, but he remains confident.*
IC: I do not, but I am certain that if you would inform the Grand Protector of my arrival that he will see me.

Re: Equator City

*The receptionists eyes over the being in front of her. He struck her as rather... unremarkable. Her large eyes blink.* Sir, as you can imagine, the Grand Protector is very busy, running an entire planet and all. If you wish to see him, you really need to make an appointment.

*Meanwhile at the edge of the city...*

*Brulax stopped his run at the edge of the city. The army was only a few miles out, and he had run at all the speed he could muster in the Force. He had run the distance in just over a minute. Now, in order not to frighten the citizens with an apparent sense of urgency, false though it might be, the Jedi Master began to walk through the commercial district toward the capital. Many stood back in wonder at a rare glimpse at one of the famed Jedi. Oraltor, across the city, would receive similar treatment: stares at the famous offworlders.*

=Receptionist=
Aww... you're sweet.
*The young man now fully had the receptionist's attention.*

*Meanwhile...*

*Brulax continued his walk, stopping even to purchase a bottle of water in order to fight dehydration due to exercise and the high humidity found on this jungle planet.*

IC: You are pretty sweet yourself. *He winks at the receptionist.* IC: Now if you could do me this one little favor, I would forever be in your debt.

Re: Equator City

IC: I really need to speak with the Grand Protector. I would not ask you for this if it wasn't important. I will find some way to repay your kindness.
*Avaro winks at her.*

Re: Equator City

*The receptionist hesitated. She knew that she could get in trouble, but this Rodian seemed sincere, and no threat. She began to pull up the Grand Protector's schedule.*

*Meanwhile...*

*Jedi Master Brulax Ruso, who had just arrived outside of the Rodian Capitol building sensed something through the Force. He could sense another Force-sensitive being. This person seemed strong in the Force, another Master, it seemed. Whether this person was here for good or ill, it was the Sakiyan's sworn duty to protect this world and it's inhabitants from all potential threats. He would investigate and challenge this being personally. He turned from the Capitol and began to jog south.*

*Oraltor senses the new arrivals in orbit*
IC: We have visitors, Landrin. Let us go and welcome our guests.
*Oraltor mounts his Ithorian Dragon and rides toward the spaceport in order to greet the new arrivals.*
