Re: General Living Quarters

Roland turned to see a meal layed out for him surprised he was about to ask why when she handed him a fork and a spoon. He approached the table almost wearily... Had she had the food poisoned? He wasn't watching her when she was cooking it. She looked too innocent though, she couldn't have poisoned it and it smelled so appetizing a far step from field rations. He sat down and ate slowly at first savoring the flavor then he ate faster, hungrily, it has been weeks since he had eatent any real food and this was amazing. In a short time Roland had finished it. He smiled appreciatively. "Thank you, that was delicious. Now I am going to take you to your new master. He is a kind man, you will like him." Roland extends his hand for her to take it.

Re: General Living Quarters

A new master. That must mean my old master is dead or gone, leaving me behind. And I had never even met him yet. But it didn't matter. I am only a slave. I do what I'm told, simple as that. I reach out and take his hand willingly. Even though I was standing on my toes, the added three inches didn't give me much compared to this man's six foot frame. With only three feet, six inches to my height, I'll have to walk very fast to keep up with him.

Re: General Living Quarters

*With his free hand Roland drew his blaster pistol, Gabriel would not excuse a delay in thhe girls arrival. He leads her forward, out of the kitchen. As they made their way through the rest of the living quarters Roland didn't let anyone get in his way he simply said "Solomon" and the other raiders back away respectfully. It had not taken long for the two to reach a turbolift that would take them to the Hanger. Roland pressed the button to summon the lift and tapped his foot impatiently until the door opened and he led the slave inside. Another button pressed made the lift accelerate towards the Hanger...*

*Maeve had curled up in the corner of her cell. She hadn't heard, or seen anyone in days - not since all the chaos... The front wall of her cell had collapsed - she couldn't move the rubble... And so she'd nearly accepted she would die there... but not completely...*

"Help...! Please, can anyone hear me?"

*She couldn't think of any reason she would be rescued - she was a slave now...*

Re: General Living Quarters

*Sion Solomon strode down the halls of Black Sun's new acquisitions. Sion was 6ft tall, had short brown hair, had a fair skin and wore a loose fitting brown tunic. His lighstaber was strapped to his belt and a blaster pistol was on his waist. It had been several days since their victory here and some parts of the building were still waiting to be refurbished. As he came to a rubble filled hallway he felt distress in the force. Racing over to wht appear to be a cell he heard a woman's voice.*

"Don't worry, I'm gonna get you out of there." He called out reassuringly.

*Raising his hands and drawing upon the force Sion pulled away the rubble blocking the door and the door itself, exposing the room to the rest of the hallway.*

"Hello in there, are you ok?" He asked concerned.

Re: General Living Quarters

*Maeve had her knees pulled into her chest, and had covered her head with her arms when the wall started to move. She squinted out at the man in the hallway, and debated her next action. She hadn't eaten, or had any water in days - she felt horrible, and didn't trust her legs to support her weight... And it seemed every time she made a decision for herself, or spoke 'out of turn' there were consequences...*

"I'm ok.."

*She looked down again after she spoke. She couldn't handle Xaxan in this condition...*

Re: General Living Quarters

*Sion walks forward into the room and extends his hand.*

"Are you a slave here? You must not have eaten or drank in days, I'm amazed you are still alive. Take my arm, I'll help you up. I can carry you to the mess hall and we can get you some food while you explain what you are doing here." Said Sion smiling in a friendly manner.

Re: General Living Quarters

*Maeve flinched instinctively as he reached out.. But after a beat realized his intentions, and took the offered hand. She struggled to her feet and swayed, leaning more heavily on him than she would've liked.*

"... I don't know... I don't want to get in trouble."

Re: General Living Quarters

*Sion felt the warm press of her skin as she leaned against his body, she was scantily clad and quite attractive. He lead her through the halls and finally they entered the mess hall. He ordered all other Black Sun operatives out and only spoke to her when they were alone and private. He helped her sit down at a table. While she sat Sion entered the kitchen and procured some Juri huice and a Bantha steak for the woman, he approached her and set the food in front of her before taking a seat across the table.*

"Sorry, I didn't answer your question earlier, I thought it would be more important to provide you with nourishment before any long conversation. I have a strange feeling that since you were locked in the cell you were either one of Xaxan's pleasure slaves or you were his captive. Regardless, he is gone now, forever. We have thrown him off this world for good and have not heard from him since." Sion says proudly. His eyes were birght and he smiled in a friendly fashion.

Re: General Living Quarters

*Maeve sat at the table and hugged herself, goosebumps spreading out over her arms. She looked at the juice and the food as the man set it down, and despite her aching belly... she waited. It had been worrisome, his sending everyone else away. She wondered if she hadn't just been passed from Xaxan's possession to his... But then he told her about Xaxan, and his loss of power, and he smiled at her... and she believed him. She was safe... She was safe with him at least.*

"I was... both I guess."

*She took a sip of the juice, the flavor exploding in her mouth... The first thing she'd had that held any taste in a very long time; she had to concentrate to ensure she didn't inhale the whole glass. She put the glass down again, and looked up at him, her green eyes suddenly bright with hope.*

"Thank you... for getting me out of there... for getting rid of Xaxan..."

Re: General Living Quarters

"No problem my dear. Scum like Xaxan have no place in our galaxy." Said Sion with conviction. "So, tell me about yourself. How did you end up here? Where do you plan to go after this? We were able to rescue many other slaves from this compound and where able to free the ones that had somewhwere to go. The ones that had no home are now under our protection. They are no longer slaves and they now lead comfortable lives at our fortress on Taris."

Sion studied the women, she couldn't be any older than 20 years olf. Despite the fact that she was covered with dust and debris she looked stunning. Her red hair a stark contrast to her plae skin. It shone with an intensity that contradicted her position as a slave. Her blue eyes were beautiful and she was lean and muscular, perhaps too well toned for a simple slave...

Re: General Living Quarters

*He called Xaxan scum.. and she smiled. Another first in far too long. She took another sip of her juice before answering his questions. Where to start?*

"I was on Zeltros - Xaxan and his body guard zapped me, and loaded me onto his ship... just like that."

*She was still in the horrible red dress he'd given her, and the welts on her arms and back had nearly healed... But as her mind wandered back to the night she'd been taken, her hand wandered to the collar still fastened around her neck... and she began to panic.*

"He put a cyanide pill in my neck.. If the collar comes off it'll kill me... But if I get too far from the him, that will kill me too...! If Xaxans gone, and he took the remotes - how will I ever get this off? It could kill me at any point.."

*She looked up at the man that had saved her, the hope she'd felt now replaced with worry. She'd just found out she could have her life back - something she never thought would happen - only to be reminded Xaxan had planned for her to die if she was ever out of his control...*

Re: General Living Quarters

*Sion stiffens in his chair as he hears the woman's words. Thoughts raced through his head. Where was Xaxan now? Did he leave the controller here? There was no time to think, no time to search. There seemed to be only one viable option and the idea sickened him. He would have to force shock the collar and her to destroy it and eliminate the signal. Sion stands up and walks slowly towards her still torn between casuing her pain and saving her.*

"I think I can save you... We have no idea where Xaxan is and no idea where the controller. At this very moment he could be flying away from here and once he reaches a certain point you could die. If I use force lightning on the collar I could fry the circuitry and destroy the collar forever. Unfortunately you will be shocked as well, the pain will be short but intense. I wouldn't do it if there was any other way..." Sion says leaving the sentence hanging and extending his right hand towards the collar.

Re: General Living Quarters

*Maeve looked at him, then to his hand, then back at him. More pain... of course thats what her life would cost...*

"And what about the pill..?"

*She didn't want a cyanide filled pill to reside in her body. The shock seemed a good way to kill the collar - if they could get the pill out too, they may have actually found a way around Xaxans plan...*

Re: General Living Quarters

"I don't trust myself cutting into your neck... I do have friends at the Red Dawn medical complex that could easily remove the pill." Sion says in a soothing voice as his right hand touches the collar. He sends calming thoughts through the force. "It will be all over very shortly... are you ready?" Sion asks.
He closes his eyes and breathes deeply, summoning the forcee. Statis begins to crackle along his right arm

Re: General Living Quarters

*Maeve swallowed hard... then nodded. What choice was there? She saw the static around his arm, and her eyes went a little wider, panic rising up in her chest... So she closed her eyes, and took a deep breath.*

"Ok. Ready.."

*She had her hands balled into fists in anticipation, her body tensed, ready for the pain he'd promised would come along with her freedom.*

Re: General Living Quarters

"I'm sorry" Sion whispers.

*With that Sion closes his, grips the collar fully with huis hands and unleashes force lightning straight into it. Sion didn't know whether he imagines her cries of pain or if she was really crying out, he could not focus on that. The collar was surprisingly sturdy and were portected by insulation, obviously the designer had forseen electrical short out. Sion pressed harder with the force bruning through the insulation. Was it his arm that jerked or was it her? Remorse filled him. Soon he felt a pop within the collar as the internal circuit box melted and blew up.

Sion immediately stopped the lightning and drew his hand back, away from her. Not wanting to cause her more pain. It had taken less than a minute but still...*

Re: General Living Quarters

*Maeve let out an initial cry of shock as the pain coursed through her. She couldn't breathe, she couldn't move... She could do nothing but endure. Her body jolted once or twice against her will; she clenched her jaw tighter against the pain... And then it was over.

She slumped against the table, breathing hard. She slowly started trying to move her fingers - she had to work to get her hands to unclench. After a few moments, when she'd caught her breath and the pain had dulled to a memory she looked up at him.*

"Its done? Broken? ... Thank you, again..."

Re: General Living Quarters

*Sion looked at her with concern as she slumped forward against the table. He felt terrible for casuing her pain. This was not a simple enemy that needed to be killed, this was just a simple woman trapped in a world that was not her own. Sion took a step forward and was soon standing over the woman with her head slumped against the table. Sion delicately moved her long hair away from her neck and took hold of the collar, with the force he unlocked it gently took it off her neck. He tossed it against the wall.*

"You will never have such a collar around your neck again, I guaruntee it. It will never trouble you again. You were so strong, not many people could withstand that pain and remain conscious. I'm sorry that it had to be done that way." Said Sion awkwardly. He did not know whether he should move to comfort her or allow her space so he remained standing over her.

Re: General Living Quarters

*Maeve sighed when the collar was gone, and ran her hand over her now bare neck. It felt weird, almost, to have it gone... She wouldn't miss it.

She was drained now though. Already she was weak from being locked away without food or water - after the force lightening, she was exhausted. She needed to eat... She reached for her glass of juice again and managed to wrap her fingers around the cup. Her hands were shaking, and as she tried to lift it to her mouth the juice spilled over the edges, down her hand. She put the cup down in a hurry, and brought her hands to her sides. She felt foolish - sure he'd said she'd been strong, but here she was, unable to lift a dumb cup steadily.

She knew she should be happy, ecstatic... Xaxan was gone, the collar was off, and this man, the man she didn't know at all, told her she was free...

But she was scared. She was scared, and hurt, and had no where to go... And on top of that, she was tired, and weak and hungry... And so when the two tears leaked down her cheeks, she dropped her head, looking down at her lap. Her hair fell in loose curls to cover her face, and she tried to focus on breathing...*
