Re: Great Temple

"Alexis" *He said simply as he turned again to look ahead at the shuttles again, watching a young Rodian female who doubled back to collect a dropped strip of fabric. The lithe thing, short and slender, moved with that slight awkwardness somewhere between the youthful padding of a child, and the fumbly, lanky uncoordination of a teenager growing faster than they can really handle.

He looked up again at the shuttles, studying their contours, the panels of the wings and the lines of the hull, the marks from atmospheric interactions and a few faint blaster burns from past close shaves. It was an exercise in being aware of details, analysing the information, observing fully. Dav rarely needed the practice, his intelligence and observational skills being ever sharp and ever comprehensive, but he was not one for complacency in anything.*

"So, I hear you've taken Yeldarb as your Padawan now." *He looked now at Ronan properly.* "Will he be joining us?"

Re: Great Temple

"Ah, right."

*He smiled as he watched the students walk towards the two shuttles, waving to them as they went, a warm smile on his face. They had had the Jedi children of Honoghr for a while, and, finally, they were ready to have them back. Their temple was structurally sound again.*

"I did, it's true. But he's catching up on his studies and won't be joining us."

*Ronan paused for a second, looking away. He stared off into the jungle, the wildlife there humming and calling and living.*

"He's been through a lot for his age. Especially after Kamino...He was the first person outside of our, you know, inner circle, that I told about Miros and the Corruption."

Re: Great Temple

*Dav smiled tightly, nodding thoughtfully. He understood entirely why Ronan would do that, absolutely entirely.*

"I told Alexis a little of my past when I took her on, too." *He flexed his eyebrows upward as, once more, he looked to the students.* "It helps, I think, to share your failings with a Padawan; especially when you, too, have seen struggles like theirs. It helps them to understand that we're not these flawless beings, that we haven't lived a perfect life. We can identify with their difficulties, we can appreciate the hardships of their pasts."

*Once more, the tall Jedi Master looked at Ronan.*

"And, I suppose, it helps them to see that, no matter how hard they've fallen, how far they've deviated, they can recover. They can be redeemed."

*Two of the youngest Honoghran students, a Zabrak girl and a native Noghri boy, neither than five standard years old, raced past the two Jedi Masters, cutting either side of them terribly closely and at an impressive pace. Jedi were trained from an early age about calmness, control, sensible actions, but even Jedi children were children, and their natures as young, excitable, and energetic young beings would out, regardless of what training they may have had.*

Re: Great Temple

Alexis sprinted out of the temple looking for Dav. He had better not leave her behind. Not again. Honoghr sounded like it would be an exciting trip. Besides, she was supposed to be there. She spotted Dav and angled over that way, skidding to a halt just before a gust of wind blew out Ronan's cloak--a peripheral danger if she hadn't stopped in time. It was always embarrassing to end up caught in another Jedi's robe! She bowed quickly to Ronan and Dav. "Quite ready! Who are we waiting for now?" She grinned. "Master Starflare. I haven't seen you in a bit." Glancing quickly at both of them and seeing they looked rather serious, she guessed they had been talking about important things, and promptly assumed a solemn expression again.

Re: Great Temple

*Dav smiled at his Padawan, breaking the sobriety and sombreness of him and Ronan's discussion, looking down at the short girl. They had been training together intensively for a few weeks now, and he was pleased with her progress; in time, he was sure, she would make a great Jedi.*

"No-one now, as far as I can tell. As soon as everyone's aboard the shuttles, we'll depart." *He looked to Ronan.* "Speaking of..."

*He smiled at the young Padawan, returning her bow.*

"It's a pleasure to see you again, Alexis." *He turned to Dav.* "What? I'm ready to go when you are."

*He leaned back a bit, folding his arms, as if saying "you first" to the Master-Padawan pair.*

Re: Great Temple

*Dav chuckled, shaking his head and looking back at the shuttles with a broad smile.*

"Right then, I guess I'll take the lead."

*He glanced to Ro now, to direct his next comment at the younger Jedi Master.*

"Thanks for deferring to my Shuttle-boarding expertise on this one."

*He looked back at the pair of shuttles again, and the swiftly dwindling crowd of students around their boarding ramps, and stepped confidently toward them.*

"Come along then, kids. Let me show you how it's done."

Re: Great Temple

Alexis rolled her eyes dramatically at Dav's back, then glanced at Ronan. "Last one there is a rotten egg?" she suggested mischievously. She supposed this mission was serious enough that a little humor at the beginning might not be a bad idea. They probably wouldn't have time or the inclination later.

Re: Great Temple

*Dav chuckled again, another broad smile, as he lead the two of them weaving through the crowd of younglings and to the closest of the shuttles. Dav had to duck slightly as he climbed the ramp to avoid bumping his head, but for Alexis and Ronan, both shorter than he, it was unlikely to be a problem.

With a gesture, he guided them both to the cockpit, where they would be seated for the journey up. It took him just seconds to buckle in and settle down, and he instantly begun running his own checks on the console next to him; Dav wasn't known for being particularly hands off with anything, with flying being a particularly obvious example. The truth was, there was a part of him tempted to dismiss the pilot and fly the craft up himself, but he ignored those impulses and settled for simply reviewing the Shuttle's internal systems.

As soon as the last passengers were settled in, the ramps withdrew, and the Shuttles lifted off the ground. In orbit, they would dock with the Wild Endeavour, and within forty minutes, would be winging their way toward Honoghr at many thousands of times the speed of light.*

Re: Great Temple

*The speeder drew back up to the Temple that housed the Praxeum, the woman within it tried not to let her eyes wander too much on the architecture, she had been here before and she must act like she had seen it all before. It was against her nature though to not take in a building and all its aspects, but she only allowed herself the quickest of glances, mostly looking at security placements, always best to know how you might get away quickly.*

"Here we are Dr Amaryllis, your belongings should be in your quarters waiting for you, but I could take you to get your head looked at?"

*Nodding, the woman climbed from the craft, her feet landing softly on the ground still getting used to her new frame she staggered slightly. This body was a little shorter and slighter than her previous one, also she had never worn flat shoes and felt strange to feel her feet so secure beneath her. Coupled with her cutting herself off from the Force, the Sith was feeling the slightest moment of panic and put her hand to her head to steady herself.*

"I still seem to be feeling dizzy, but I don't think it is anything serious, just need a good rest and perhaps a change of clothes. Thank you for your concern, I will make sure that I note your attention to your superiour. I must start making notes of my findings today, thank you for all your help."

*Moving across to the entrance to the Praxeum she was suddenly aware of Tome running up behind her, calling her name again. What now? Could he not leave her alone?*

"Dr Amaryllis! You forgot your bag!"

*Turning she saw him holding a leather bag that she had placed in the speeder before returning, she needed to be more careful, to get used to Kennedia's belongings being hers.*

"Thank you, I really need to lie down it seems."

*Taking her bag she turned on her heels with a grateful smile and made her way into the building, searching out her quarters. She had a lot to do and she couldn't be staying at a more dangerous place than this.*

Re: Great Temple

*She quickened her step as she exited the building, no one appeared to be nearby and she wanted to get away from here as fast as she could. There was only one thing left to do, leave the Moon and return to civilisation, but she wasn't sure she was going to be able to justify that without at least appearing to continue the research her new body had come here to do. She needed more data, with that she could convince the Jedi that her time here had been productive enough to board the shuttle and escape.

It appeared as is Tome had gone, she didn't want the company, but she hoped that she didn't need him too. Slipping into the landspeeder's seat, she glanced around for any sign of security to stop anyone from just taking it, it seemed to be safe, she guessed that Jedi were a trusting lot. She liked that about them, they were easier to fool that way. Starting up the engine, the speeder trembled as it waited for its commands to move, hovering just above the ground. Giving a careful glance around that no security was coming running, she decided that she was allowed to just borrow it and started to move forward, remembering the path that she had taken the last time and weaved through the trees and rocks that guarded the path towards the Temple of Exar Kun.

As she left she caught a glimpse of something in the corner of her eye, a large shaggy Jedi and as she did her concealment failed. Instinctively she reached out to feel the Jedi's presence, unable to stop her curiosity before it was too late. She opened her eyes wide, the panic rising as she withdrew her signature back in on itself. She hoped that he hadn't recognised her, he couldn't possible have known who she was by sight, but had he picked up on her presence too?*

"Kriff!"

*The word was muttered under her breath, she just hoped her touch with the Force had been brief enough to limit his recognition. What was he even doing here?! And why him of all the Jedi?!*

Re: Great Temple

*Norun felt the impression in the Force exuded by the curious woman. His own eyes widened, and his jaw clenched firmly, pressing his tusks harshly against his upper lip, as he recognised the aura at once. His mind may be going, but some things were difficult to forget. The Sith within this woman was strong, stronger than the first time they had met, and Norun had aged some, his mind and body both deteriorating since that encounter on the bridge, many moons ago. He growled under his breath, a deep rumbling, gutteral and primal alike from the back of his throat. The presence of this woman was no joking matter, particularly given the proximity to the Praxeum.*

"Hespera...."

*The last time, he had managed to handle her fury and anger with somewhat ease, however he recognised now she was a different animal altogether. Not only was she stronger in the Force, but given her appearance, it seemed she somehow had not aged in all these years, perhaps she was even younger than he remembered. That blonde hair and nubile appearance she once possessed had been something of a disguise to her true nature, and now as a brunette, with equally-innocent features, she still held that distraction. He knew, however, how dangerous the woman was, and he could not allow her the freedom to move amongst the unknowing Jedi, a matter highlighted by her interactions with the young Jedi moments before.

As she headed away from Norun, he wrapped his robe tightly round his body, and made good with his pursuit, knowing he would need the perfect timing and setting in which to tackle her, and surrounded by other Jedi back in the Praxeum, would be the safest bet for everyone. As a team they could neutralise her efficiently, and without too much fuss, but alone out here in the relative quiet, he risked failure and dooming the Praxeum to her whims without realisation of what hid within their ranks.*
