*Fighting has bogged down for the tens of thousands of soldiers awaiting for the major push. The enemy was holding well, however as these Mandalorians had been trained since coming out of the tank to fight stormies, it was to be expected. They begin using their own technology against the Imperials to great effect: the jet troopers move to the roofs along with the mecha-war beasts and begin raining down hell from above, using an unexpected front on the enemy; the snipers either use controlled roofs or distance to take on their targets; heavy troopers begin split between setting up defensive positions or firing at vehicles coming through the streets; the electrical troopers and flamers focus down in the sewers where initial surprises lead to big casualties. They now either fire their electrical guns into the water to fry the enemy, lay mines to create traps or they adjust the nozzle and fill the tunnels with fire. The "normal" soldiers assist where they can and make major pushes where they can. However across the line the Generals have been slowing down the line. It is nearly at a stand still at this point. Berserker's have fallen back, the smaller mechs as well, and the air units have turned their attention to the tank units moving west. It has grown noticeably quieter.
The reason this is so is because the MMP's are ready to fire. Having been stationed a mile away it kept them a safe distance from the enemy, and with the Behemoths, Monsters, Demons and AT-AP's in the way getting to them would have been insanely tough. While missiles begin taking out limbs or heads of the Behemoths, they continue to push: their thick armor was designed to take heavy laser fire, and the control station is buried deep in the bodies. Each mech has multiple anti-vehicle weapons across its body, and once in range they begin to fire at the approaching vehicles. With missiles firing and turrets opening up from hundreds of guns along with the adjusted fire of the mechs' heavy weapons it is like charging a spear wall. The AT-AP's add to it by adjusting fire to mass their shots at the nearest targets, and with a lot of distance in between the tanks and them, they have time for multiple shots. The MMP's, having received the order from the generals in charge, open fire. 10,000 cruise missiles fire out in mass waves from the grouping. The sky begins to darken as they move to the city, just beyond the Mandalorian line. As they begin to fall in masses whole blocks will be obliterated, buildings will implode and entire areas laid to waste. 10,000 missiles begin impacting with more force than Kaine's bombs. After the sky becomes lit again, the ground shakes from the sheer volume of fire coming down on the defenders. Several fall within Mandalorian lines, inflicting casualties, but nearly all fall onto the approaching defenders. And before the barrage is even finished a massive roar from tens of thousands of throats fill the air. A blood lust roar as the men begin to charge into the fray, moving to attack the devastated regions of the city and their defenders. They charge forward in a surge with the goal to overwhelm any defender not killed or knocked senseless by the ground-shaking blasts.
Up in space, the navy gets a request to move in. All 3 Victory-1 class Star Destroyers break away from the fleet and move in to get into atmosphere over the city.*
