*Aedon wanted to question a few things with Luke's sudden bout of 'generosity'...but, when his nose got a whiff of the caf, he completely forgot about his preconceptions and started sipping the nectar greedily. The warm sensation of pure caffeinated energy brought a grin to his face, and he was suddenly reminded of how glad he was to have the Sith Commando on his crew.*Aedon: Thanks a lot there, Luke. You're all right in my book...I don't care
what Marcus says.
*Na'me continued cycling the cannons through their paces, taking special note to flag dedicated sections in yellow, much like he knew Marcus would do. The fact that the Zabrak finally decided to join him didn't bother the Bothan any...he knew how hard Marcus was to stir after a good nap.*Marcus Corvus wrote:"So Gav's got us running diagnostics again? I'm still not liking that port side turret's speed. I'm thinking we must have something lodged in the mechanism. At any rate, I'll start doing a control diagnostic, do you wanna get one going on the weapons systems themselves?"
=Na'me He're=
Yeah...I'm not sure what's happening with it, either. Gav's been a stickler lately about making sure this ship's up-to-snuff. And, I'm way ahead of ya on the weapons. Already checked the three forward-dorsal laser cannons, I'm on the aft two, now. I'm gonna need your help once you're done with Diag. The ions are always hard for me to get a good read on. Too many power differentials.
*The aft-dorsal Laser cannons were in tip-top shape according to his readouts. He was about to move on to the ventral cannons when Marcus piped up again.*Marcus Corvus wrote:*Marcus' fingers flew over the console, activating various programs, deactivating others. He even checked the range of motion on the guns manually. He still wasn't pleased with the reaction time on the port side turret. He shook his head and continued on, checking the system for any problems. He flagged a few systems and conduits with a 'yellow' flag, meaning that various components would have to be tinkered with or replaced soon but they weren't crucial at this time, then he turned back to Na'me.*
"Whenever we hit port, I'm gonna have to do an inspection on that turret visually. That port side turret's being... **He lowered his voice** It's being a nemoidian. I don't want Gav to freak out but let's just hope we don't have any bogeys show up, I'm not liking the reaction time one bit. Even if we do get it firing... we won't be able to hit anything with it, it's much too slow."
*Na'me's brow scrunched. He quickly cycled through to the port-side turret, testing the movement on them. He originally thought the stick was a momentary hiccup. The fact that it was continuing in its stubbornness only frustrated the Bothan.*=Na'me He're=
Hm. I might have to join ya on that little inspection. The joints probably just need a seal replaced or something. Good possibility that there's a control-socket bent in it, too. We get too rough on that old bird-killer. A quad-linked turbolaser doesn't even belong on a ship this size, anyway. Could just feel like it's out of place or something. *He chuckled, the lowered his voice.* But you're right about Gav...we need to get that guy to loosen up. He gets wound any tighter, and he's gonna pop a spring or something.
*At that moment, Kinsey piped up.*=Kinsey=
Communications are green, Gav. We need a few of the control-clusters replaced, but that's all in my report. Sending that to you, now.
*The Bothan winced at those words. It frustrated him to no end that the Twi'lek was always ahead of him on Diagnostics Checks. He whispered sharply to Marcus.*=Na'me He're=
How does she keep doing that? It irks me that she's faster all-the-time!
*The Twins and Navigations soon sent in their report. Aedon looked over the multiple red-flags from the two co-pilots, sighing inwardly as he felt the cred-numbers starting to roll over his brain like a tank...at least Nav came back clean. That was a relief. Cycling back through the info from the Twins, he realized most of their issues seemed to be stuff they could fix in-house. The repulsor readouts he was looking at were his issue. Those were hard to replace outright. But...eventually, they'd have to be looked at.**He continued looking over the info as they were about to be done with the final leg of their journey. Then, he remembered what Luke had said before...*Aedon: Oh...ah...go on ahead, Luke. Sorry, mate. My head's a little full from all of the numbers.
*He taps his datapad.* This is gonna be a pain that I'll
never get rid of...
