Iniquitous Office

A Dark Forboding building, it is almost lost in the surrounding buildings and Edifices around it. It takes up 5 blocks in Ahto West, and houses the quiet menace known as Dark Tide.

Re: Iniquitous Office

*Maximus walked into the room gingerly, with a slight limp in his step. His right arm was in a sling, and his face still showed plenty of bruises. He chuckled lightly at Iniquitous.*

You know I'm not that easy to kill.

*Maximus eased himself into the comfortable chair across the desk from Iniquitous, looking at the man. This was the man he had offered his life to protect many times. As odd as it was, Maximus held no ill will towards him or the others for leaving him on Lianna. He had told them to go, and he was prepared to lose his life in the process. Everything they had done was the right decision. Maximus did not resent any of them for that.*

Re: Iniquitous Office

*He leaned back in his office chair and pulled the hood from his head, revealing the short hair, flesh eye, gray skin and the black spots darting across his skin. He pulled his gloves of, and folded his two flesh hands together in front of him, arching an eyebrow, his eyes still pitch black. A tell tale sign the man had hold of the Force*

"You look like Sithspit. I am leaving."

*There was no preamble. No build up, no Sithspit. He said what was on his mind. He felt no reason to deceive Max. He spun his chair around to look out the giant windows once more, surveying the bright complexity of Manaans vast ocean. He stood, clasping his hands behind his back*

"There are certain things I need to take care of."

Re: Iniquitous Office

Trust me, it feels worse than it looks. And where are we going this time?

*Maximus' voice was curious, and his voice carried a hint of eagerness. He was still injured, but that didn't mean that his notorious appetite for fighting was going to sit around and wait. If there was anything Maximus could do for Iniquitous or Dark Tide, he would do it.*

Re: Iniquitous Office

"Not we. Me. There is something I have to do. No one can know. Not anyone."

*He turned and looked Max in the eyes, his arms still folded behind his back. Max would notice his fram was leaner, not as massively muscled as he used to be. He moved more like a snake and less like a mountain...*

Re: Iniquitous Office

*He didn't see it until now. Something was... wrong. It wasn't how he looked, it wasn't how he moved. It was... something else. Something about his demeanor that was different than usual. Maximus leaned forward, intent on finding out what was going on.*

What aren't you telling me?

Re: Iniquitous Office

*He arched an eyebrow at Max, looking at him a moment before speaking*

"What I am telling you is all you need to know for now. All will be made clear at a later date. I need to show you something. For future reference."

*He stepped to his desk and made sure MAx was paying attention when he pushed the hidden button on his desk. The center hissed, unlatched, then slowly raised up. Sitting in a holder sat an ornate lightsaber. It had the twin purple Arkanian Dragons on the hilt, but was not inlaid with black. It was dulled with age and use, and looked well warn*

"My original Saber. Once given to Dason, and recovered after his death. Do not lose it."

*He pushed the button once more, and the saber disappeared into the desk. He picked his mask up off the desk in front of him and strapped it to his face, pulling his hood up and sliding his gloves on once more. He was nondescript once more. No marking adorned his mask, his robes, or his clothing. His signature vanished from the Force, and he stared at Maximus for a long moment, not saying a word, then spoke once more*

"We will meet again Brother. Of that I have no doubt."

*He turned and walked across the room, opening a hidden panel in the wall, and disappeared inside, the door closing behind him with a faint click. With that, Iniquitous left Dark Tide. Possibly forever.*

Re: Iniquitous Office

*Maximus was speechless. Iniquitous was serious... he was leaving. Maximus didn't know where he was going, and he knew that Iniquitous wouldn't say either. He only watched as Iniquitous showed him the lightsaber from his desk. It was Iniquitous' original lightsaber. If he wanted Maximus to keep it safe... That meant he wasn't coming back.

As Iniquitous tried to leave, Maximus stood up and stepped in his way. In other words... POST CUT!*

And what of Dark Tide?

Re: Iniquitous Office

*Looking Max in the eyes, as they were similar in height, he spoke directly, his voices covered in the strange echo from the mask*

"It is yours. Do as you see fit."

*He steppped around the man and disappeared into the secret door. This time for real.*

Re: Iniquitous Office

*Maximus just stood there, stunned as Iniquitous walked past him. Dark Tide was his. The largest and most dangerous faction in the galaxy, and it was now under his control. The thought made him speechless, but his mind came back to him as Iniquitous disappeared behind the door.*

Stay safe, brother.

*This was a very bittersweet moment. He had gained control of Dark Tide, but in the process, he knew Iniquitous wasn't coming back. That hurt more than he would ever let on, has the two men had been brothers in arms since the very beginning. Maximus wondered... Would he ever see Iniquitous again? Would the two men ever fight alongside again as they had done so many times? It wasn't an answer that Maximus knew right now. Only time would tell.*
