Re: Iritsa

*Gavin sprinted behind his padawan, ready to defend him if they were to come under attack. They reached the ship and got on board, and Gavin entered the cockpit behind Ral.*
"Get us out of here and I'll hit the turret, just in case we need to fight our way clear."

*Gavin nodded at his padawan, making his orders clear, then headed out of the cockpit and toward the guns, prepared to fight off whoever was attacking*

Re: Iritsa

*The engines of the freighter roared to life and the ship began to rise. The hull was strong enough that blaster fire would do little more then score the paint. He pushed the control forward and sped the ship into orbit.*

Re: Iritsa

*With the thunderous sound of the first wave of blaster fire hitting the duracrete walls of the exterior buildings, the entire city began to quake with fear. Each blood red bolt scored a hit, not upon those that clinged to hope within the walls of these vaults, but each bolt tore through the durable buildings turning them into swiss cheese. However though the stone took the brunt of the climatic opening. a few stray shots took out the frozen barbarians that were unable to make it out of their dwellings fast enough. Through the head, the torso, and the stomach, was where most of these killshots were made and little or no blood oozed from any wounds. If these were slugthrowers instead of blasters, the mess would take ages to clean up off the cobble streets of the city but that wouldn't be the Coalition's problem.

This planet was essentially belonging to the New Order of the Eye, The defenders just didn't know it yet.*

===========================================
Galactic Coalition Stormtrooper Barracks. Iritsa.

*Revenge. It's all he wanted. It's the only thing that could settle the spirit of rage festering within his belly, and he wanted to unleash it upon those who hath drawn out the beast from it's cage. These invaders had killed his sister, the only thing he had left that reminded him of his family, before they were killed by criminal upstart upon the surface of Coruscant a few years before. And the mere thought of his sisters body, mangled and torn asunder by the sheer force of a turbolaser, made the Stormtrooper clench his fists and grit his teeth. Rage boiled through his veins and caused his shiver in untamed excitement. His hands quaked as his fingers slipped through the trigger guard of his blaster rifle, thoughts of vengeance filled his mind and forced his hand. This blaster rifle would be the instrument of his revenge, and he would use it to lay waste to the city and those arrayed outside her walls.* "Dismissed!" *His commanding officer bellowed. With that order the army of servants vanished into the darkness, taking their places with the citizens of Chazwa and hiding out down below the surface of the planet.* *Eyes glazed over by revenge and hatred, Darius' head began to spin. He wanted to tear them apart, force them to feel the pain that they caused him to endure.*

*~ Moments later ~*

*Behind what remained of a burnt out building, a squad of Stormtroopers took shelter and returned fire into the snow covered hills. Like many squads around the city, they fired blindly into the snow, unable to hit their foes at that range. Small rockets filled with frag charges and incendiary charges streaked out of their hiddie holes and came down upon the enemy. Wither they hit or not, that was up to fate and luck.

Hopefully in time, the enemy would advance and face the foe face to face.*

Re: Iritsa

*The advance was steady, the troopers moved in a leap-frog fashion. One squad would move up, while one, two, or even three if they could spare it would watch for hostiles. That's not to say it wasn't rough. Rockets from foxholes were hitting them, and barbarian cries mingled with the cries of burned or wounded men.*

Foxtrot 813! You're next!

*That was Jarypt. He moved up to the edge of a building and peeked around it. Another squad was already moving up through the snow, they were almost impossible to see through the snow.*

*The rocket was completely impossible to see. It hit right in the center of the squad, and they briefly disappeared in a plume of fire. They were in a staggered formation, but the majority of the squad was dead.*

Fire! FIRE!

*The watching squads obliged, putting shots down range, through the snow toward where the smoke trail of the rocket originated. There was a pause in the combat as everyone stopped to look for more combatants.*

*A second rocket whistled in from the left and exploded against the ground, shrapnel flying into the trooper at the back of the squad. Defending forces arose from the snow, close to the NOE troopers already. Too close.*

*People shouted out their death throes and precautions of incoming fire, but this fight was lost to the NOE. They could win the war, easy. But this battle was lost to them. They fell left and right and left again.*

*Jarypt picked off two, his lasers slicing through their hearts and heads and throats. He heard a bloodthirsty cry behind him, and spun to see a barbarian charging him with a vibroblade.*

*Before the barbarian could complete his swing, Jarypt dropped his rifle, drew his saber and made two cuts. One to the sword, the other to the opponent. The barbarian fell into two pieces.*

*The rest of the barbarians, seeing the crimson saber, and the very surprising enemy before them, stopped. Momentarily. They charged again, all at once and all sense of honorable combat from them.*

*Minutes later, Jarypt left pieces of barbarians in the snow behind him and resumed his now solo march toward the main garrison.*

Re: Iritsa

*As the one man army moves in, leaving bloody and burning limbs in his wake, the main body dashes into the claustrophobic streets. A commanding cry is uttered from one of the officers,*"Ignore the civilians! Push forward, forward! Do not let them rest!"*Many of the fascists were making it a point to slaughter the defenseless, and were surprised by the order; nevertheless, they reoriented themselves, allowing civilians to flee away.

A number of N.O.E "Phantom" tanks hover in the outskirts, and the modified beasts use mounted flamethrowers to burn buildings and flush out entrenched defenders. There were pockets of resistance all along the advancing line, with Jarypt being the spur that pierced into the small city, most of the troopers languishing far behind in the snow.*

Re: Iritsa

*. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Two weeks later. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .*

*Violent days had passed; the relentless cold, freezing winds, was the only constant in the small center. Most of the strange, gray-clad invaders had departed after subduing Iritsa. However, a diminutive garrison, nearly 125 strong, was left behind to guard their hard-earned capture. By no means had the entire populace, small in number by city standards in this age, been cruelly disposed of. Most of the townsfolk were left alone to contend to their ice-riddled lives. Yet the N.O.E fascists still threatened the people in a certain sense: the company quartered the largest mining facility in the center, fortifying it and converting it into an imposing base of operations. High walls constructed to block the people's view of ugly machinery now served as high, impenetrable faces of stone, and inside the complex, an elaborate (for its size) network of guard posts, firing pits, shooting slots, and metal reinforced trenches turned it into a Star Warish interpretation of Groznyj Grad. Inside, four "Phantom" tanks were parked inside closed warehouses. The silent hover-tanks were ready to deploy in case of emergency. The officer in charge of the company, a Hauptsturmführer by the name of Seras Victoria, made sure a number of her troopers patrolled the area, maintaining security. A reserve troop, a "response" squad, was always on duty, awaiting to swiftly crush any trouble. Thus the winds continue to blow, and the ice planet spins ever on. . .*

Re: Iritsa

*The Scorched Raven touched down in the empty spaceport, and Aram was a little surprised that it was empty. Actually, no he wasn't. The Galactic News Service had reported on Chazwa multiple times in the past, detailing the totalitarian domination of the Mandalorians right through to the chaotic reign of the Squib Merchandising Consortium. Now the Squibs had been gone for some time and Chazwa had appointed a provisional government to run things, but according to all reports the provisional government, composed of about fifty ministers of this and that, was mired in hopeless bickering and in-fighting.

Why had this drawn Aram here? Because he knew he could end the bickering and get Chazwa, a planet of some 3.5 billion people, pointing the right way again. Part of him did it because the univerese needed the order. The more planets were firmly entrenched in order, and not in chaos, the better the galaxy as a whole would be. But there was another part of him, the part that craved power, the part that wanted to control, to dominate. To own. It was a part that scared him because he did not know what it was capable of.*

*Aram left the space port, and headed into Iritsa itself, with his destination, the Kudak Citadel, which served as the centre of government. As he travelled through Iritsa, he noticed that the Squibs must have been very thourough. While the provisional government maintained some semblance of order, they had not been able to maintain the buildings and facilities of the city, many of which were crumbling in places and in desperate need of repair. There were piles of garbage, but nowhere could there be seen anything of real value among the debris.

After walking a short distance, Aram approached the imposing Kidak citadel. He noticed in front of it the first armed guards he had come across since coming to Iritsa.*
