Re: Kway Teow

*The medic nodded slowly, but almost went into a conniption when Alkor halfhazardly pulled the hunk of metal out of his flesh. Almost in a flurry, the Medic darted forward, taking up some disinfectant, and a roll of gauze along his way. Reaching Alkor's person, he quickly applied the disinfectant to the now opened chest wound, then ripped off a peace of the gauze, and pressing it against the bleeding opening.*

Don't do that again... it's kinda not a good idea.

*Once he was sure the bleeding was dieing down, the medic secured the gauze bandage and then turned his attention to the other uncovered, and opened wounds. He began to clean them quickly and expertly.*

You can't be too careful about open wounds on this planet...

*He said to no one in particular, as he then began the tedious task of removing the metallic shrapnel, cleaning the newly opened wounds, and patching them up. Superficial work was done for now. The Medic looked at Alkor again and tilted his head.*

Just for precaution, do you have any allergenic resistance to numbing agents, or healing agents, such as bacta?

*He'd seen them before. Few and far between, people who had allergies to things like that. The last thing he wanted to do, was land the man here for a while, dealing with the ill effects of something that was suppose to help him. He got the feeling that the man wanted to get out of here and on his way pretty quickly, considering he was refusing pain medication and any type of sedation. It kind of made him wonder if he was working fast enough.*

Re: Kway Teow

*Pah. Alkor had felt worse than this. Or had he felt worse than this? He swatted the hand of the man away as he went to disinfect and wrap the wound. For a moment, the blue eyed Corellian stared at the man who had chided him, as if the man were completely off his rocker. Who was he to tell Alkor what to do regarding his own body? The defiance in his eyes subsided after a moment as he conceded that the medical treatment would, at the very least, prevent him from bleeding out.

The man said something else, completely worrisome and about the planet and how dangerous open wounds were in a place like this. Like hell. Where were open wounds not dangerous? Infections could happen anywhere and at any time. And if nothing else, there were always remedies for that sort of thing.

After Alkor had let the man begin treatment, of course, he sneered slightly at the question, and looked off toward the horizon.*

Bacta. I'm allergic to Bacta.

*Alkor crossed his arms at his midsection, so as not to impede the man's dawdling about his chest, and the dark haired man cast his gaze toward the Jedi Master, as if waiting for her to say something profound.*

Re: Kway Teow

*Goodness this guy was being difficult. With a deft nod, the medic simply continued to clean and bandage up wounds. None of them were large enough to truly need stitching, and for that he was grateful. The medic figured that Alkor would find it really irritating.... and probably halt his progress.

He preformed the tasks quickly, wanting to be done with the irritating man as soon as possible. A few butterfly bandages, and wrapped gauze later, the medic was done. He removed his hands and backed away a bit, peering silently at his work, and sighing in relief. The wounds were clean, there was no more bleeding. The little burning on the man would heal.*

I think with a few more days of rest and little strain... You should be fine sir.

*He looked over at Raven and smiled thinly. It was a hollow smile as he spoke to the Jedi master.*

Thank you for bringing him in... I'm done with him. He's free to go.

*Oh how difficult it was to actually make the statement sound truthful and pleasant. The medic waned them gone. The man he'd just treated seemed like he didn't want it, like he just wanted to bleed out and die. It bothered the medic and he looked away from them, hoping that when he cast his eyes around the room again... they would be gone.*

*Raven gave the medic a kind reassuring smile and spoke to him.*

Thank you so much. May the force be with you.

*Cordial and refined...that was Alora's voice at the moment. the center of control and kindness. She looked at Alkor and beckoned to him. She began to walk out of the room, and out of the building itself, into the open air of the planet.

Once they were outside, the Jedi master turned back to Alkor and gave him a slightly skeptical look. Her head tilted to one side and she cocked an eyebrow.*

Alright... now that you're not going to die.... who are you?

*She knew who he was... but did HE know who he was?... Raven wasn't sure. She gave a thin smile and shook her head.*

You probably scared that poor medic.

*She said, and then waited thoughtfully for his response. It would tell her a lot about his ... more mental condition.

Or it would get her punched in the jaw again... but what ever.*

Firespark wrote:Aria nodded once in agreement. She had a hunch that he was not from Felucia from the beginning. Her earlier question about what brought him to such a planet answered that question. Her patience was great, though, especially with strangers who did not know her. There was always a warm presence about her, yet with a hint of something unknown.

A light laugh rang from within her as her dark eyes sparkled.
"A tour of Felucia by a mere girl who would more than likely get eaten by such a planet should things to awry." There was some seriousness about the way she said such a thing, but when her gaze met Nemo's once more, there was a fierceness behind the amusement that spoke of her fearlessness of such words. "I'm sure we won't run into any major problems, though."

With a disarming smile and laugh to follow, she quickly wrapped the cloak around her frame and clasped in place, giving you the briefest glance of her body. A slender frame, yet toned seemingly from her training. her stomach, though, bulged slightly, and from the appearance of her smaller figure, such a oddity about her body could have only been one thing; she was with child. Such an oddity, in fact, for this girl seemed no older than her late teens. And what more, she seemed to hide the child's presence within her.

Without care or hesitance, linked her arm in his as she followed him back into the busy, crowded streets. By his age and her appearance, it would almost seem like father and daughter walking the town together.

"Well, this joyful little town," she said with sarcastic jubilation as she nearly shouldered another busy patron who briskly walked down the opposite way, "is Kway Teow, as you probably already know. I don't know much about this place, considering I haven't been here too many times. I've normally been locked up within the Jedi Base by the commands of some of my friends and Jedi masters, but there have been times, such as today, where I take the time to sneak out and enjoy life outside their walls." She glanced a the older man and giggled. "It can be so dull to remain there when you're not training."

Before he could have anything to say on the matter, a soft gasp of awe came from her as she quickly released the man and running over to one of the shops outside. She reached over the crowd that huddled around it and pulled a long weave of bright red cloth. The shopkeeper started shouting at her in some alien language, but she quickly protested in a different tongue, fluid to the sound yet still harsh. Something about the creature shifted as he suddenly shifted to another customer.

She wrapped the cloth around her head, pulling back her long, dark brown hair. She looked at the older man with an innocent smile as she blushed slightly.
"Sorry... It's been a long while since I've been out of the base. I can't help but fall to childish whims every now and then." Something about the way that scarlet cloth set with her hair accentuated her otherworldly beautiful appearance, but even even with such a childish expression, with her hair pulled out from her face and her sharp features revealed in whole, an eerie air surrounded her now.

*Nemo linked arms with Aria and took a little stroll with her through the streets of Kway Teow. Being the tourist on this little visit he kept quiet and listened to what the young girl had to say about the place. He scoffed at the mere notion that there would be trouble on their little trip, even though he knew he attracted trouble like a giant magnet. From the look of Aria, the older Master thought she could handle herself in a fight if it came to that. Looking around the town he realized that it seemed more and more alien the more he looked. Humans were not the norm here and he liked being able to fit into a crowd, it helped when he needed to disappear.*

=Nemo=
Don't worry, you know more than me about everything on this planet. I'm the tourist here, I don't even know that much about the Jedi base.

*He kept his voice down when he said the word Jedi, in his experience it was best to keep your affiliation a secret for as long as possible. It was then that Aria skipped off to "steal" a piece of cloth from a market stall. Nemo was not impressed and his facial expression conveyed his disapproval. He walked over to that stall and retrieved a few credit chips, handing them over to the man before walking back to Aria. He wasn't sure how much the cloth was worth or if he'd paid too little but it was better than nothing.*

=Nemo=
Maybe we should leave the city for now, what do you think?

*He half expected Aria to run off, it sounded like she was a little trouble-maker and had run off to be here. He was actually trying to think about what they would do if she decided to stay, he had no idea! He hadn't seen much of the countryside, even though he knew it was dangerous that is not why he had not seen it yet. He'd just not got around to it. Maybe if they were alone Nemo could have a talk to Aria and try to reach out to her. He had no idea where this idea/feeling came from but the Jedi usually followed his feelings.*

Re: Kway Teow

She frowned slightly as the man pulled out several credits to pay for the silly piece of cloth. Before the chips could pass from one hand to the other, they were suddenly ripped from his hands by some quick tug of the Force, Aria shooting them both a disapproving look.

"No need..." she said to Nemo, handing him the chips before handing the scarf back to the keeper of the shop. Again, she spoke in a strange tongue to shopkeeper, the man nodding once as though in some hypnotic spell before returning to his other customers. Her irises flashing a brilliant red, she instantly shot Nemo a look as if in shocked rage that he did such a thing. "I don't steal... ever." She emphasized that last word, as though hidden deep within that which she spoke, there was a serious warning. "I have ways to get what I want, but I don't stoop so low as to act like a petty thief."

She nodded once at his request, her expression suddenly shifting to that of indifference, the pained anger fading into nothing - but not before muttering something to herself in that same strange tongue as before. There was such an emotion behind the scolding that one very well could have sorry for her if they ever caught a syllable or two.

"Come... we will travel to the Base... and there you will meet those who you wish to meet."

She glanced back Nemo, her soft brown eyes having returned, but they were now void of any and all emotion. This is why she normally traveled alone. This is why she hid where she went. Not only because of the child within her womb that they all feared for, but because no one seemed to be able to trust her anymore. She was not the same little girl that they all knew and loved anymore, and even then, they didn't trust her out like this because she was that little girl! They all thought so low of her now. Even this stranger seemed to think so, apparently, and so she would bring him willingly to meet those who thought themselves that much higher in the universe than the rest.

She headed off in a direction with quick inhuman grace and speed and somehow expected the man to follow. As she reached the outskirts of the town the crowd subsided to a few lingering souls here and there. And here she stood and waited for him to catch up, allowing the little free time she had to completely clear her mind. Years of practice had been stripped from her, and she had to start where she had left off nearly a decade ago.

Alright... now that you're not going to die.... who are you?

You probably scared that poor medic.

*She said, and then waited thoughtfully for his response. It would tell her a lot about his ... more mental condition.

Or it would get her punched in the jaw again... but what ever.*

"I did."

*He said the words with a vacant face and in a nonchalant voice as he looked past the Jedi Master; how he knew was beyond him, though he just sort of... felt? That seemed the best description for it... he could feel the man's fear radiating off him in waves. That was strange... could other people feel that sort of thing, too?

Looking quietly toward the Jedi, knowing he'd get no straight answers from one like her, he proceeded to simply stare for a moment, because she seemed completely skeptical of him for some reason. She was withholding something... but then, when were Jedi not? Was it possible that she knew who he was?*

"Scare him, that is. I did scare him. I just don't trust the medical type."

*With a shrug, he turned his gaze away from her and neither apologized nor thanked her. It was a Jedi's duty to help people. It was even probable she wouldn't care for his thanks if he did render it to her. He absolutely hated the type. Thankless, and above all, absorbed by their "code."

It wasn't just Jedi, of course. He could remember, hazily, something about abhorrence of codes in general. Distrust of Order, in any of it's forms. Absolute hatred toward what stood to force conformity of subservience.

This woman, however, was different. This entire planet seemed to course it's energies around her and cater to her as if it were a part of her, and in turn, she were a part of it. Inexorably linked in a way that he could not quite fathom, and yet, one he could inexplicably perceive. His frosty blue orbs flicked over her person quietly, in muted respect for how she seemed to be the core of some grandiose puzzle; though in that same respect, he realized that her death would somehow tear apart the balance this place was struggling to hold on to.

And for some reason he could not explain... Alkor didn't want to do that. She had good left undone. He could feel that, too. And somehow, she was linked to him as well, though the bond was weak and inconsequential... as of yet, anyway... not a lover, nor a master, nor any true kind of friend. Indeed, the bond he could feel was little more than acquaintanceship.*

"Somehow I get the feeling you know who I am better than I do. But don't worry. I don't really care."

*He just started walking. There was nothing to hide. Nothing of value, anyway. He could tell that his life had somehow drastically changed in a very short period of time, and that he had very little, precious little in fact, left of who or what he had once been. But instead of sadness, Alkor felt a diminutive tinge of freedom.

It was probable he would know who he was soon enough. And then, he'd have time to sulk. Or whatever response he would have to his memories. Not that it really mattered.*

"So are you going to take me somewhere? Preferably dinner? Or your place? Either one would do fine."

*Whether he was serious or not, Alkor never turned around. He just kept walking. The little lady Jedi had a long and breathless walk ahead of her if she planned on matching strides with the vagabond.*

Re: Kway Teow

*With or without his memory, he still acted remarkably the same. This forced Raven to smile slightly, and walk along beside him as best she could. She didn't look up at him though, not yet. Something told her that, though he was a bit more comfortable with her company, he still didn't really like it all that much.

When he spoke about how she knew him better than he new himself, she understood that he was aware of his lack of understanding. She pondered in her mind for a moment. She could, in advent, tell him that he use to be one of the most devout Jedi alive...that he use to be a kind hearted person... that he was her student... or any number of lies. But, of course, she wouldn't do that. It wasn't because, she figured he would be smarter than that, and figure it out...It was simply because, Raven Alora didn't play with people's minds and futures like that. She knew what it was like, and she'd never wish for that much control over someone.

She finally looked up at him, matching strides with him interestingly enough.*

I do know who you are... to a small degree. Perhaps more than you do.

*She sighed slightly, with a thin frown.*

I don't know how much you lost back there, so, I'm not able to judge that. But I'll only tell you what I know, if you want me to.

*She gave him a meaningful look, one that told him she'd not hide something from him should he want to know. She still didn't consider herself an expert on Alkor Centaris.

Then, he asked a question that again, reminded of her of how he had once acted in the Archives at the base. How ever would she respond to this? Once more, she looked up at him and smiled slightly.*

I honestly don't think you want to come back with me to a place full of Jedi... you back then, and even you now doesn't seem to like us all that much.

*He'd probably get irritated at the joke, or just keep walking, or not even respond at all. It was just who he was, and no amount of amnesia could change that...Or so Raven supposed.*

Re: Kway Teow

"Not liking someone isn't an excuse to not go somewhere. That's stupidity."

*He'd thought that even before he'd lost his memory, even though he couldn't remember that he had. Perhaps he would never see things the way Jedi did, and perhaps he would never agree with them in any way at all. But was that reason enough to let his feelings dictate his actions?

No. Emotions were tools, not justification for heinous or ridiculous acts. He knew that. But what Alkor did not know was how he felt. It was as if he was devoid of anything at all, in the midst of everyone else's murky ocean of thoughts and feelings. It made him feel uncomfortably cold, and even more alone.

His lips were set in a flat line, and when he looked over at the small Jedi Master, he felt like she was in as much pain as he was. For whatever reason, she was torn about something. And even if it was not his duty, even if he was loathe to help a Jedi, he felt like he ought to do something for her. As a person.

It was odd. It almost seemed like... it wasn't something he would do. Or was it that it was something he had always wanted to do, but never had?*

"I may not trust you, I may not like what you are, but I sense..."

*Stopping abruptly, he placed a hand on her shoulder and looked over her nearly useless eyes for a moment, searching her on a very topical, non-molesting level with the force. He could feel that her trustworthiness was more than just cosmetic, and that she genuinely wished to help him, though she was reticent about it.

He frowned slightly. He must really have wronged this girl.*

"...you want to help me, even though your heart is not truly in it. Ever the Jedi."

*Alkor turned away and began walking again, sighing deeply.*

"Just go where you will, and I will follow. I have nowhere else to go, at least, until my memories return."

Re: Kway Teow

*Raven stopped, almost with a jolt when he put his hand on her shoulder. Why she had done so was beyond her. She'd felt the strange shift in emotion, something she'd never felt from him before. She heard his strange words of question, or insight, which, she didn't know. It all added up to the fact that his motion wasn't in harm, rather in..care? Was that what she should call it? There had to be another word for it. Concern, there, he was concerned. But why?

She relaxed a scant second after he placed his hand on her shoulder, and looked up at him. Blinking once or twice , she listened to him speak. Honestly, it wasn't that she didn't want to help him, after all, he'd helped her out once before also, even if his motivations were less than savory. She was wary of him, but that was for good reason. This man was dangerous, and prone to, rather unpredictable activities. She felt she had every reason to be careful. But it seemed as if her careful nature around him, alienated him needlessly.

She gave him a softer expression as he turned to walk away. Again she walked along side him.*

You were an...interesting person. I'm sure You are no less interesting, but you have to understand, being careful, and being disdainful are two different things.

*She spoke rather seriously this time. There was no joking intent behind her voice. Raven Alora did not hate, or even truly dislike Alkor. She was a bit tense around him, for reasons described before hand.*

As far as where we're going, I'm actually planning on staying in the city for a while, before heading back. I'm sure you're tired, or hungry, or both, even if you won't admit it.

*This time, she took a few extra strides, placing herself ever so slightly in front of him, then, she began to walk in the direction of where she was staying. She couldn't return yet. Truthfully, Raven didn't feel ready to preform the task meant for her, back on that side of the planet... not yet.*

Re: Kway Teow

*Alkor couldn't remember why it was he did not feel hungry right now, even though he could not recall his last meal. The stomach pains most people suffered from were alien to him. It was almost as if he didn't have a taste for food at all, the way he just shook his head when she mentioned the prospect.

The blurry images of a woman who he could not remember having met skimmed through the back of his mind, and somewhere on his body, scars that had faded away with time burned and caused him to wince almost invisibly. His eyes flickered with distaste, and he shivered as he shook his head a bit more noticeably.*

"No, not even a little hungry."

*Shadows cast by a memory beyond his reach made him struggle within himself, trying to find why it was he rarely ever ate, or why his body seemed so frail. His muscles were toned, yes, but his flesh was all sickly pale where the sun hadn't stained it. The evidence of malnutrition was all there. He just chose not to abide it.

As for being tired, he had always been plagued by insomnia. His nightmares kept him away from sleep. It was the force that kept Alkor alive. That was the only possible explanation.*

"I'd rather just stay near you, if that's fair. Neither of us really have anything we'd rather be doing. Besides. It lets you keep a closer watch of me, right?"

*He smiled thinly and continued walking, opting not to respond to her quip about the differences between disdain and caution. Her opinion was her opinion, and wouldn't change the way he thought of it. She seemed like someone who wouldn't trust him much either way.*

Re: Kway Teow

*She'd not press him. For all she knew, he might be telling the truth. Given what she knew of him, that was probably a long shot, espically with what she knew of the dark jedi in general. However, Raven opted not to continue to poke the issue. The last thing she wanted to do was anger him to the point where she'd have to protect herself, or someone else from him. Because, wounded or not, she knew this man was quite the formidable opponent.

She only allowed her mind to linger on those thoughts for a brief moment as she kept walking. Removing them from her mind, she looked back over at him. What a strange turn of events. One moment he seemed to dislike her presence, and the next, he wanted to remain near her. Strange, at least to Raven. Then there was that odd notion of him putting his hand on her shoulder, and his voice. Then it hit her.

he was struggling.

Struggling with one's own mind was never a fun experience. She'd done it plenty of times, and indeed, she was doing it now. Alora sighed as she stopped outside a hotel building. Most of it seamed in good working order, and new. The other half, part of the lower levels, still looked like they were being rebuilt, or remolded.*

This is where I'm staying for a little. I'll see to your room, and if you want, you can return to the base with me. That won't be for at least two days though.

*She attempted not to allow her confusion to show on her face, or temper her voice, but that was a bit difficult. It was more difficult than it had ever been. Perhaps the understanding that Alkor was an Empath caused Raven to waver in her resolve. Either way, She simply had to say something, something he probably would take offense to, but something she felt deeply about, especially now.*

I don't mind at all. I know what it's like to loose, or misplace your identity. I understand, wanting to be close to what ever seems familiar to you. It's not easy. *She didn't touch him, though her normal course of action at that moment would have been to rest a reassuring hand on the other's shoulder. She only sighed, giving Alkor an encouraging look.* But you'll recover, I did.

*She didn't press on him with empathy either. She knew what it felt like to have someone attempt to calm her that way, and with how he felt about jedi, He probably would take it as false care. That was the last thing Raven wanted him to think of her. And she didn't want him to feel manipulated.

Opening the door, she led him inside the rather sparsely furnished Lobby, should he follow. It looked like her plans for the evening, of boring meditation and perhaps reading, would change just a bit. But that was ok. Raven never liked paperwork anyway.*

Re: Kway Teow

*Without a word, Alkor walked past the Jedi and stared blankly at the wall ahead of him. Talking the way she was, it was almost as if she were trying to help him come to grips with confusion. It wasn't necessarily confusion, not so much as it was annoyance. Not being able to remember how he had come to be in this place, or why his ship had exploded to begin with was more than a little upsetting. Not that he showed it if he were upset at all.

And it wasn't necessarily that he wanted to be close to something familiar. He didn't know her from the next midget Jedi. She seemed to know who he was. Maybe he could glean something from her knowledge, despite knowing that she would evidently without anything that might endanger herself or someone else. It was something else entirely that had spurred him to ask to stay near her.

He shivered slightly, though the air was humid and hot, and he looked from one side to the other at those present upon entering. Even though all of them were close by, and he knew he was not alone, he couldn't help feeling that he was. Alien eyes molested his body, the frigid breath of strange people sent an ugly chill down his spine. And the taste of blood on his lips and tongue almost soured the gentle caress of moonlight on his skin through the window.

His mind had evidently shut something terrifying out. Either that, or it had closed itself to something he couldn't bear to remember. The scarring on his body was evidence of a struggle, whether or not the Jedi Master had noticed it, some fight with some sort of behemoth... or some other sort of monster. And Alkor couldn't help feeling he had lost something. A whole lot of something.*

"Sure."

*Alkor held no sort of love for conversing about his problems with anyone. It wasn't just that she was a Jedi. Even before, Alkor had despised any sort of open topic discussion that shed light on who he was. Because even now, Alkor was all too aware: he had lost everything with meaning long, long ago.

His hollowed eyes stared quietly at the floor as his lips curled up in a gentle smile, and he turned his gaze toward the woman. He could be anything he wanted to be or do anything he wanted to right now, and he couldn't hate himself for it later. At least, that was how he rationalized it. Why not let his feelings out, if only for a short while? Why not get to know this woman- not the Jedi, but the woman who had sorrowfully sold her life into slavery to the light of the force?*

*Nemo was used to dealing with people who disagreed with him, younglings, padawans and even the knights on his team disagreed with him sometimes. However he couldn't just shrug this off, it didn't feel right to do. He needed to put this right somehow but he didn't know how. He definitely couldn't do that standing around while Aria speeds off.*

*He left the credits with the bemused stall owner as he swiftly set off after his would-be "prey". The young girl was swift and she made short work of the crowds in the centre of town. What he lacked in speed and grace he made up for with wit and while. His eye sight had not diminished with age and he kept Aria in his field of vision most of the time, he did lose her for a few moments once or twice. His use of the Force also allowed him to keep track of and not lose Aria until the crowds faded away.*

*Once in the quieter streets the Jedi master slowed his pace, even more so when he noticed Aria had stopped. He had no idea what to say so he decided to buy time and then avoid the issue. Not the best approach but he was not too torn up about the whole issue, he had experience things that had tainted him. He approached quietly from the side, hopefully not startling Aria.*

=Nemo=
You were doing a very good impression of a petty thief to me! I don't know how they do it where you come from but exchanging goods or currency is usual when accepting something like that. I'd have words with your Master if I wasn't giving you this talk! Anyway, which way is the base from here?

*What in the name of all that is holy was that!? Nemo could've sworn he wasn't going to give her a talking to but suddenly he found himself listening to himself speak as if he wasn't in control. "Words with her Master"? What was he thinking? He wouldn't blame her if Aria pointed him in the wrong direction and then left, that was shocking. However it was done now so the best thing is to recover and move forward. He looked calmly at Aria and made a point to not fold his arms, instead holding them together behind his back.*

Re: Kway Teow

By the time the man had reached her, Aria had already cleared her mind of all negative emotions, such as the anger that had been burning in her before. She had locked them away for the time being, so even what was about to unfold before her wouldn't faze the look of eerie serenity that fell over her.

His presence hadn't startled her in any way. So much gave it away, she was surprised that he had even bothered to try. Then again, she had been this way for years now, and she had grown accustomed to the physical sharpness of her senses on top of her acute awareness made only possible to her by the Force. She didn't bother to look at him, but rather, her brown eyes were downcast, her dark hair shrouding her features.

He spoke, and his words registered without the same painful emotions as before. She was in control.

"I don't steal," she spoke softly. "I wasn't going to steal it. I just wanted to see it. I was going to give it back. The fact that you assumed what I was going to do, Master Nemo, shows me a lot about your character and mistrust in those who you don't even know."

The odd gentleness in her voice could have acted like a knife in contrast to the words that she spoke. She seemed hurt, but showed nothing. What his past was was his own knowledge. What had happened to him in his many years of life to shape him in such a way was his own. She would do all that she could, though, to show that she could not be thought of as the same as anyone he had ever met before.

"...and I am my own master. I belong to no one."

She brought her gaze up to meet his once more, the same strange peace flowing over everything about her. She looked strong, and yet so vulnerable. So at peace, yet something seeming so off about it that it could almost be known that there was so much more than she put off for those to know.

"I will take you to the base... be sure to keep up, though. I'd hate for you to get lost on such a dangerous planet."

She turned her back to him and started walking, the dark grin that spread over lips unseen by his eyes. Within the blink of an eye, she sped off to some unknown point, showing her unnatural abilities.

She was not human. That was for certain now.

<< I said keep up! >> she said with child-like innocence hidden behind the voice that echoed within his mind.

Re: Kway Teow

Alkor Centaris wrote:*Without a word, Alkor walked past the Jedi and stared blankly at the wall ahead of him.

"Who are you?"

*Raven wondered hos much of his memories were still in tact. She wondered what kinds of sights, sounds, words would trigger them. Right now, he seemed to be recovering from some dreadful chill, and a chill on Felucia was never a good thing. Any normal person would say he was recovering from the shock of the crash, but Raven knew better. Again she was urged to touch him, to put her hand on his arm and reassure him that everything would be alright, but she dare not.

Everything could, quite possibly not be alright, and she would not lie to him, or anybody else. Still, he agreed to her questions and she supposed that was a good thing. At least he wouldn't be wondering aimlessly out in the city. A Jen'jidai, with no memory of his past, full of dark force potential in a recovering populated area...just ...really wasn't a good idea.

And it was nothing against Alkor.

Either way, now he looked at her. The strands of his emotions weaving a strange pattern of slight ease, question, and seeking. Perhaps, the fact that he no longer knew exactly who he was, had caused a freedom complex to settle in. Raven remembered that feeling. It was like looking at a blank page of paper, that had once been covered with markings and identity. She smiled slightly and gave him a reassuring look when he asked her who she was. True to her form, she answered plainly.*

I'm Raven Alora, a teacher.

*She wondered if he wanted to know anything else, but figuring that, and speaking too much about one's self was always a fine line to cross. She figured that if he wanted to know more, that he would ask. She carefully kept the jedi speech away from her lips. He wasn't here to be converted so to speak. It was not the fact that he might feel more uncomfortable around her if he knew. Something in the back of her mind simply told her that it was not neaded to inform him. Perhaps he already knew. Either way, she opted to keep the conversation surface, until perhaps, he wanted something else.*

Re: Kway Teow

"You're terrible at closing yourself off, you know."

*Alkor continued to walk, his eyes dancing across the ground beneath his feet as he attempted to push the sudden feeling of familiarity from him. It had been so strange, ever since he had crash.... crashed! He had, hadn't he? Not that he remembered why, or how... just that he had narrowly escaped fate.

And now, fate seemed to have cursed him.

He could sense something about her, however far away, was somehow attached to him. Whether it was the nagging fear that she had of him, or something else entirely, Alkor was unsure. In the force, he knew that she knew him- and that she was withholding a great deal.*

"When one asks a question, they expect a complete answer, not just the annotated version."

*Turning back to look at her, his blue eyes sparkled with amusement and he smiled down at her- which might have amused him, as he wasn't incredibly tall himself- but there was no menacing in his demeanor.*

"A teacher ought to have known that, though, aren't I right... Jedi?"

*He stared down at her implacably for a few moments, then reached down and ruffled her hair*

"Don't worry. I have a feeling that I wouldn't attack you, even if I were aware of who I was. A lot has changed about... the way the force moves about me. Unfamiliarity. Violent shifting. Chaos... I sense things, Miss Raven. And I sense that we have met before, and that you are afraid of me. Don't be. I promise I won't harm you- and I am, at least, a man of my word."

Re: Kway Teow

*There was a raucous sound that erupted from a cantina. In the din, the sound of a flying pan and shattering glasses could be heard. It was followed shortly after but the sound of the door sliding open and the patter of bare feet on the sidewalk.* *An extremely pale boy, around the age of fourteen tore out of the cantina with a loaf of bread in his hands and a small canteen of water slung around his neck. He ran down the street, towards the landing pads.* *He wasn't some thug of a boy who was stealing for fun. No, this white-haired boy stole to survive. He had been starving ever since he left the Jedi Temple and couldn't find his way back.*

*There was something special about this boy. He was an albino child but was gifted with the Force. His mother thought that he was an abomination and tried to kill him when he was a baby. But he was saved by a good Samaritan of crewman and he was left on this planet in the care of the Jedi. But he was lost, and terrified.*

*He arrived at the landing pads and hid under one, hunched over his bread and water like they were precious gems. He feasted on them with fervor.* *It was here that that hid from everyone, and it was here that he was safe. He had managed to put together a shelter from rags and tree limbs, and used an old mattress as his bed. It was here that he continued to practice his use of the Force, working on levitating objects. It was here that he grew stronger.*

Re: Kway Teow

*Marcus flew the speeder he had borrowed from the Jedi base into the city of Kway Teow, parking the vehicle at one of the hangars and climbing out to survey the city. Something had called him here, what exactly it was he couldn't be certain of yet. He didn't always buy into the whole "Will of the Force" thing like some of his other peers had(though Leila shared his beliefs). Still, there was no denying that sometimes it had a knack for putting him in the right place at the right time. Maybe this would be one of those times. He walked around the spaceport, searching around him with the Force.*

Re: Kway Teow

*Edgar sat upright.* *He sensed another presence, and it was stronger in the Force than most. It was a Jedi. The boy cringed inwardly when he felt this presence because he, truthfully, did not want to go back to the Temple. It was too... strict... there and he felt enclosed and unable to travel. He needed more freedom than what the Temple could give him. And plus, the training regimen was too weak and slow for him. The next youngest Youngling was a good 6 years his junior.* *Edgar looked around, from inside is hovel, for the source of the Force presence.*

Re: Kway Teow

*Marcus paused for a moment when he felt a distinct presence in the Force, standing out from the rest of the crowded spaceport. It was close by, within the confines of the hangar area. Moving slowly through the crowds, the Knight traced the presence through the Force and moved slowly towards it, stopping when he reached one of the landing pads. The presence was underneath it, hiding away, though for what reasons, Marcus could only guess. Whatever the reason, he had to project a sense of calm, to keep from scaring whoever was hiding here, and maybe try to see what or who he was hiding from.

He knelt down to see if he could spot the person hiding, and caught a glimpse of a very pale skinned boy hiding under the landing pad.*

"Hello there."
