*He arched an eyebrow at Taung, then stood*

"What I brought here is only part of what I can muster. Have no doubt of that. I offer you money, and your life. As proof of your life, I am leaving now. I am taking my ships and moving on. I have what I came for. I offer you a partnership of sorts. You may think about it."

*He walked for the door, slamming his helmet back on, the dark purple deaths head leering at Taung as he left the pub*

:: Think about it Taung. I promise I will not kill any more of your men on my way to my Fleets. You have my word. ::

*He headed back out into the war zone and headed back towards his X Wing, letting the protection bubble dro pfrom around Taung*

:: Call me. ::

*Iniquitous switched channels to the DT secure line*

:: Ok kids. Defensive mode only. I gave Taung my Word. Try not to kill anyone anymore for the time being. ::

Re: Lola Curich

*While things went smoothly below, Blackhawk was still having a bit of an issue in the building he and Gabriel had decided to take refuge in**Blackhawk motioned for gabe to follow as he began running down the long spiral staircase, a single floor till it hit the top level offices. A rocket hit behind them, debris peppering blackhawk's back as he ran down, but sealing the exit behind them.

In the offices he saw that it was an entirely windowed building, excellent views, this place was certainly fine real estate, and in a volatile market like this universe is in right now, hawk knew this was an expensive location. But beyond that filler he saw that the troops had one advantage still, jetpacks, and shots began raining in from the outside. Hawk made a dash for the turbolift.

Locked down*

"Well, looks like we're taking the long route"

*Blackhawk ducked across the hallway to the stairs, slamming through the door. He was immediately greeted by a volley of blaster fire as a squad made it's way up the stairwell. They were shooting up and thus couldn't hit him, but the one way down was a little cluttered now. He ignited the blade of his zweihander and looked back to gabe with a nod. It was then that his comm rang loud and clear.*

:: Ok kids. Defensive mode only. I gave Taung my Word. Try not to kill anyone anymore for the time being. ::

"Well, change of plans then."

*He opened his comm back up to iniquitous*

:: We can do defensive, but if gabe and I don't get a lift I may just have to start killing my way back into orbit. ::

*Hawk's ship was destroyed and the mando's approaching were certainly not looking like backing off. Hawk would follow orders though, non-lethal was something he did with cruel precision. He motioned to gabe to follow and took the upward staircase, leaving the door behind open. Blackhawk began pooling force energy into what he did best*

"Now gabe, you'll get to understand why they call me an illusionist"

Re: Lola Curich

*As Gabriel was following Illuscio down through building, a rocket shot the wall behind them on the stairwell. It began to seem to Gabriel that the mandos were becoming less concerned about the city and more concerned about killing the many intruders into the city.

The building seemed to get larger and larger with each turn the two siths took, until they found their way into an office. Before Gabriel and Illuscio could stop for a second and look for advantages, shots began to fire in through the windows. That exit was cut off and now they would have to find another way out of the large building.

As Illuscio began to run down a hallway, Gabriel quickly followed and noticed that they were oheading towards another stairwell. As soon as they entered it, however, troops began to fire up at them from the bottom of the stairwell. Just then Gabriel also got the same message as Illuscio through the comm-systems.*

Don't be too much of an illusionist because we still need to have our fun with these guys.

*As Gabriel felt Illuscio gather the force to him, Gabriel began to do the same. This would hopefully end with Gabriel achieving some matter of fun.*

    Maximus
The soldiers that collected fire from Maximus' weapon, essentially ignored it, there wasnt time nor a point in trying to duck away. They would either get hit, or they wouldnt, and their most important job was to stop the target, and they couldnt hit what they couldnt see. Two soldiers staggered back, their shields and armor absorbing the hits before they stepped back up and continued to fire.

The soldier ducked sideways from Maximus' blow, the lightsaber skipping off the shields and armor, the shields having failed almost immediately. The reverse strike on the knee penetrated partway into the weaker joint area, but caught halfway through on the beskar armor. The soldier grunted as his knee collapsed under him and pain shocked through his body, he responded by aiming a well trained and brute reaction punch at Maximus' left foot before a blaster bolt struck him in the chest plate and shoved him backwards off the expanding heat wave. The other soldiers hadnt waited for a clear shot, instead they simply flooded the balcony with fire, not caring what they hit as long as they had a decent chance of hitting their target. The squad on the street took to the air or a dead sprint in order to gain the necessary firing angles, the ones on the ground careful to keep to cover.

*Maximus' first saber strike harmlessly bounced across the armor, but the second strike bit into the weak point in the man's armor. Maximus moved back from the man, ripping the lightsaber back out in a brutal fashion. In the process, he managed to slide away from the punch just before the man was forced off the roof by some stray blaster fire.

Maximus batter a couple blaster bolts away as he backed up to the transparisteel door that led inside from the balcony. He couldn't break through it himself, and the door was locked. He batted another blaster bolt away before stepping out from under the overhang and lifting his left hand up at the door. He fired twice, the bullets shattering the transparisteel. He threw himself at the remains of the door and crashed inside the building and away from the blaster fire.

Maximus deactivated his lightsaber, but kept it in his right hand. He was in some sort of apartment, it looked like. He knew more soldiers were coming his way, and he needed to get out of there. He ran to the door and made ihis way out into the hallway, and started running. The hallway was long, but Maximus crossed it's length in a matter of seconds. He threw himself at a door shoulder-first, and bashed through it to find a staircase. There was no chance in hell he was going to use a turbolift. All he needed was for the Mandalorians to stop it or cut the wires, and he would be a dead man. Instead, he started running down the stairs as fast as possible.

He had made it down about three flights of stairs before he heard them. More troops were coming up the stairs, and they were fully armed. Cursing under his breath, Maximus changed directions and started running back up. As he made it back to the floor he had started on, he saw the door sliding open. He lifted his right hand and fired off a Force Push at the first body he saw. He hoped it would distract them long enough to get away.

Maximus didn't even bother to see who was in the doorway. He ran past, and kept climbing, trying to get more distance between himself and his pursuers. He was drawing on the dregs of the Force, trying to coax every bit of help that he could. He was hurt, he was fatigued, and his body was on the verge of shutting down. But he couldn't quit. He wouldn't. He would go out in a blaze of glory before he surrendered to any enemy.

As Maximus ran out of stairs to climb, he shoved himself through the door that led to the roof. It felt like his neck was being pricked by needles as the sunlight hit his eyes. He squinted and raised his left arm to block the sun just before a brilliant blue flash hit him square in the chest. Maximus staggered backwards, and instantly ignited his lightsaber. He managed to block the next two blaster bolts, but it wasn't enough. There were two Mandalorians with jetpacks standing in front of him, and their blasters were too much. His body had somehow carried him this far, but it would go no further. The blaster bolt that followed hit him in the stomach, and Maximus fell to his knees. With a grunt, he felt his breath leaving his lungs. He fell forward, his orange-bladed lightsaber deactivating and falling to the ground along with his pistol. He was not far behind, falling face first into the duracrete of the roof. When the rest of his body hit the ground, Maximus knew nothing but darkness, just in time for Iniquitous' cease-fire comlink to come not two seconds later.*

    Taung
*With Iniquitous gone, so was the soothing touch of the Force, and the pain came crashing back full force into Taung's body to the point that it pushed moisture from his eyes and again he had real trouble breathing as it felt like his chest was crushed...and in point of fact one could consider it partially crushed. His armor thankfully helped support some of his weight off his broken pelvis, but the only way to relieve some of that pain was to shift from a sitting position to a laying down one, which would hurt a lot to do so and leave him in a worse position to defend himself. He elected to simply sit there, hurting.*

:: Man down my position. ::

*He waited for an acknowledgement before making his mind focus on what Iniquitous had said. ::Think about it Taung. I promise I will not kill any more of your men on my way to my Fleets. You have my word.:: That at least was one dar jetii that wouldnt kill any of his men. But there were others, and the fleet battle still raged. Iniquitous had said nothing about a ceasefire and more men would die before this day was out...many more, and now he was essentially powerless to do anything about it. He had hoped Iniquitous would at least have asked for a ceasefire, but he had not, disappointing. His gaze was lost somewhere between his eyes and his visor as that thought went slowly through his mind.*

:: The dar jetii in the black armor with the deaths head gave his word not to kill anyone. Stay out of his way, there has been no offer of a ceasefire, if they begin to withdraw pursue and engage only at your discretion. Taung out. ::

    Blackhawk and Angellos
*The troops in the stairwell informed their comrades that the targets had been sandwiched and to be ready. The sergeant in charge on the roof gave an affirmative before a squad began moving into the building and off the roof, weapons up and their senses searching for their targets, half an eye on the friendly forces icons in their HUDs, their only concern was civilians that they had not yet detected. Half a squad remained on overwatch and as a fast reaction group. The Bes'bev gunship slid up along the exterior of the building on the far side of the boulevard readying its fearsome laser emitter fans and missile weaponry to blast the Force Users all the way back to the Force.*

    Maximus
*The squad and a half that had been after Maximus sang out on their secured comlink.*

=Taung Elite Airborne Assault Trooper=
:: Target down. Two krill isk aurek, three wesk isk aurek, requesting immediate dustoff. ::

=Taung MAAT/CG Element Leader=
:: Copy, Vornskr Two evac duty. ::

=Vornskr Two=
:: Copy lead. ::

*A MAAT/CG peeled out of line and quickly landed on the roof where the squad and a half that had been chasing Maximus were rapidly pulling together, two soldiers each carrying a dead or wounded comrade up from where they had fallen to the heavily armed troop transport. The squad that was in the MAAT/CG scrambled out and set up a defensive perimeter, as the wounded and dead, including Maximus, were loaded onto the troop ship. Once everyone was aboard, taking no longer than 10 seconds, the craft lifted off, dipping a wing and disappeared into the streets below, running hard out of the combat zone back towards Lianna and the nearest hospital outside of danger.

The two complete squads were left on the roof, and quickly reoriented and began getting set to join the fight against the other two known targets several buildings away.*

    Outside
*In a line the two of the remaining MAAT/CGs maneuvered in the street, breaking formation and landing on adjacent rooftops on either side of the building, all quickly unloading their squads before lifting off again to begin circling, ready to give additional weaponry support, but staying clear for the real killers, the Bes'bev gunships, a pair, now moving into position on either side of the building, ready to fillet the upper floors into a sieve if necessary.

The last MAAT/CG began moving towards Taung's position near the downed MAAT/CG and the survivors from that crash.

On the ground proper, four Besom tanks walked around a corner, accompanied by two Abiik’aranar mobile anti aircraft/infantry fighting vehicles walking with them. They still had a few blocks to go, but they could now observe one face of the building. The vehicle commander ordered two of the tanks and one of the AA vehicles to proceed to the next street so they would be able to provide fire support down a second avenue. With an acknowledgement three vehicles peeled out of line and continued straight, planning to turn to their left and prepare a fire zone after finding what cover they could.*

Re: Lola Curich

*Blackhawk knew that being inside was going to grow increasingly more dangerous for the two of them, but he had one thing up his sleeve. He sat at the upper stairwell gathering the force as the mando's came running up the stairs. Gabriel would not see the power, merely a bright flicker in his eyes, but would feel it's energy as Blackhawk cast one of the strongest illusions he could muster upon the troops in the stairwell. It was like he combined force fear with it, his aim to terrify those below

First, darkness would envelop the mind of the troopers, and quickly they would see almost nothing but each other. A pure, bone chilling silence accompanied it. A moment passed before the image of a massive pair of glowing eyes appeared behind the men, no form, pure shadow with eyes that burned like hellfire. The creature rumbled, a sort of primordial groan, the sort children hear in their fiercest nightmares. it paused a moment before flying up the stairwell towards the manda'lorians, straight towards the door as well to chase them away. Bullets would pass through it's form, appearing like shadow, taking advantage of the disrupting effect physical contact had on illusions, the image would appear invincible. It would also appear hungry, for the image as it approached began showing a giant mouth, teeth barbed like the great beasts of naboo's ocean. And it was heading right for the manda'lorians, an image derived from the most basic fears of the mind, primal enemies, darkness, silence, and the unknown hunter. If they did not run, it was most certainly because they were paralyzed with fear. Blackhawk waited to see how the mando's reacted, turning to gabe*

<< When they leave, run >>

*When most had gone, or reacted however they do (this is dependent on taung's post). Blackhawk would begin dashing down the now cleared stairwell, heading for the bottom floor, zweihander in hand. They had to rendevoux with the other lord's quickly, there was only so much energy left, and a much greater amount of Mando's left.*

*Iniquitous strode down the main street, empty handed, both of his own sabers mag locked to his armor, the saber he took from Taung clipped to one of them. He ignored everything around him, head held high. He had to expend yet more force energy to get to his Xwing, leaping to the roof top. He was amazed it wasnt blown up..... He climbed aboard and began to warm the old girl up*

:: All Planet Side Dark Tide forces....withdraw. I repeat, withdraw. Get to your ships. We have what we came for.... ::

Re: Lola Curich

*Things were getting more dangerous, but more interesting as well, at the moment. They were beign attacked by more mandos each minute and all they could do was run away. Apparently the order had been given for the mandos not to attack them at the moment but they didn't listen by the looks of it. All of sudden, Gabriel witnessed something he hadn't seen in his entire life. All he could tell, however, was that the newly appointed lord was using some sort of force power.

A large beast, formed out of energy, coallesced in front of the two sith and charged up the stairs. Gabriel coudl only guess taht this is what Illuscio loved to do. Make illusions to scare the Sithspit out of his enemies. It appeared to Gabriel that this man would be a good ally to have around.

As the beast chased the mandos up the stairs, Gabriel heard Illuscio speaking to him through the force. It was there time to go and not to soon. The sound of Iniquitous speaking through the comlink told them that they needed to get there asses out as fast as possible. Once the mandos were mostly up the stairs, Illuscio had bolted straight up with his large sword out. Gabriel quickly followed suit with his two sabers singeing the air around him.*

Re: Lola Curich

    Taung
*A MAAT/CG landed in front of the building that Taung was in, on the opposite side of that Iniquitous had exited and half the squad quickly entered the structure, finding Taung quickly. It only took moving him though to make him pass out from the pain, his armor too difficult to get into to administer sedatives. They quickly carried him out to the ship which quickly took off again, turning towards Lianna City.*

    Blackhawk and Angellos
*The elite soldiers recognized the sudden silence and difficulty seeing immediately as a Force Trick, though that didnt mean they werent effected by it. Instead of fleeing as most would do, they instead turned their weapons upon the visionary beast, taking no chances, and it was their only chance anyway if it were real, and simply squeezed their firing studs, and held them down. A blue torrent of blasterfire and explosives sleeted out and blasted a hole so deep in the stairwell and neighboring wall that the last few blaster bolts actually ended up striking the opposite wall two offices away. When their weapons clicked empty several tried to reload while others drew combat knives and simply charged, ending when they stepped through the now unprotected stairwell, falling down to the next flight of stairs down. The three that remained by the door blinked their eyes hard concentrating on seeing through the apparition that was now in their faces, even though it seemingly swallowed their comrades somehow. They stood frozen, their weapons locked on those bright eyes, not seeing much of anything else.*

    Outside
*Two Besom tanks and an Abiik'aranar were set up on the near street, with the other set of vehicles setting up on the next street over. The two Bes'bev gunships hovered menacingly overhead, waiting for word from the inteior squads as to where to open fire.

On the street however, there was no avoiding it...people in the effected building came pouring out as they ran from the sounds of weapons fire, the throng of people would likely make it impossible to locate or fire upon those who blended in.

Soldiers who were on other rooftops quickly descended to lower balconies to cover the crowds, looking and trying to spot anyone who didnt look right.*

Re: Lola Curich

*Blackhawk watched and listened in joy as the soldiers unloaded every bit of ammo on the apparition. His illusion working almost better than he hoped. The great beast continued it's approach, halting momentarily it appeared to shake as if ready to pounce, as the last tick of the trooper's blasters sounded the beast lunged forward, straight into the soldiers with remarkable speed. A horrifying advance that would cut immediately as it collided, blackhawk moving at that exact instant. He spoke, amplified through the force so that it made it's message to Gabriel but also echoing along the stone stairwell to appear like the demonic voice of the illusion itself, he twisted this one word in such a way that it could match even Vorago's tone of evil.*

"RUN!"

*The illusion broke from the troopers quicker than it had appeared, hopefully leaving them in a moment of shock as blackhawk ignited his zweihander in a reverse shien grip and dashed down the stairwell, head low in a precise run. He tried to not stop at all, weaving between the stunned soldiers he slashed his zweihander low back and forth at the back of each soldiers kneecap and lower legs, crippling and likely amputating a few but killing none as he dashed faster and faster, not using the force for speed but merely for stability as he made a crazed dash down to the bottom floor leaving the soldiers behind. His only hope was that Gabe would be able to keep up

Outside, a pair of bombers broke through the clouds towards their position, moving quickly the two one-man ships were aiming to pick up their new passengers right as they got out of the building. There was so much fire around, and military vehicles moving constantly that they would have to catch this ride if they were to make it off the planet before getting overrun. Any idle time was dangerous, and Hawk knew this as he ran like a bat out of hell towards the exit.*

*After Gabriel heard the clicking of the guns registering empty, Gabriel felt a little sense of happiness. He never liked to fight against guns, they were always too irritating.

While watching the area where Illuscio put up his illusion, Gabriel noticed that it had suddenly disappeared. This surprised Gabriel because he didn't think something like that could disappear so quickly but then again, he didn't know a lot about the force still. As soon as it had disappeared, Gabriel saw that Illuscio was running to get out of the place about as fast as he could. Gabriel quickly followed suit while swiping his sabers around in front of him to help cripple the troopers in front of them. Eventhough this was alittle bit of action, Gabriel stilled loved the feeling of hurting others.*

    Outside

*Soldiers who had been setting up the quarantine began recovering bodies, one was the fallen Sith Apprentice De'nia, and the medical equipment that was being used to transport Sinistra, both being quickly removed from the battlefield.*

    Inside
*The troops yelling from the stairwell sent the troops on the roof piling in, weapons sweeping all directions as they went to their comrades aid. It quickly became apparent, that the Sith had used some kind of trick to escape the bottle that they had been trapped in. Now they just had to be found again...amongst all the terrified and panicky civilians running around doing stupid things.*

Re: Lola Curich

*Their diversion had worked, these soldiers dropped like flies as blackhawk cut their terrified legs out from under them. Blackhawk had a slight doubt that any of these men would ever live a regular life after today, a wonderful parting gift he thought.**Blackhawk moved passed the squad, hearing movement above but not below. It was perfect, no trooper could move faster down stairs than a force wielder, and blackhawk and Gabe proved this as they bolted down each staircase, winding quickly towards street level where 2 Belbullab-24's would be arriving to meet them.

With no immediate trouble coming from below the two made it out of the building just fine, only to find the streets in utter chaos, debris everywhere and thousands of people running like today was armageddon. Blackhawk looked around then checked his data pad, the ships were due to arrive in 3...2...1. Perfect timing. He turned to gabe and leapt into the cockpit of the first bomber.*

"Get in the other one, we're getting the kriff out of here!"

*As blackhawk roared the engines and started moving towards orbit he oppened his commlink, where he sent a little parting message across a broad frequency to all of Lola Curich and most of the orbitting fleets.*

:: People of Lianna, know this. All this pain and suffering was brought on by your own leaders, they brought this war upon your home and put their greed above your needs. Little to no blood was spilled by me and my commrades, we may be the Dark Tide, but the wave of evil that has crashed upon your borders is of your own doing. Enjoy your honor, while it lasts ::

*THe ships exited the atmosphere and enterred orbit as blackhawk spoke the last of his message. Hopefully it would leave a shred of doubt in the minds of the people, perhaps insue some violence from within, maybe get Blackie's voice on the HNN...it really didn't matter, he enjoyed acting like an evil rodder sometimes. He spoke to gabe in the force as the left orbit*

Re: Lola Curich

*The trip down the stairwell was easier than Gabriel had expected. The troopers that were in their way stood little to no chance in stopping them. These two force users showed them what the problem with trying to attack them was. They either lost a body part or their lives. Today, however, they got out with their lives.

As the two made it out of the building and into the streets, Gabriel began to hear a noise taht sounded like two aircraft coming to pick them up. As he looked up in the air, Gabriel noticed that two bomber ships were quickly approaching them. Once the two ships reached the ground, Gabriel felt a large sense of elation wash over him. This was the quickest way to get off of the planet and they had it. Once Illuscio spoke to Gabriel, he quickly followed suit and jumped into the other jet.

Simualtaneously to Illuscio, Gabriel started up his bomber and quickly followed Illuscio to orbit. A they were approaching orbit, Gabriel heard Illuscio speaking to him in the force and Gabriel talked back.*
