Re: Meccha

Guppy made it into Meccha in good time, at least, it was in good time to her. To anyone else, she looked like the super sloth girl trying to race. Gravity affected her perceptions and balance, and her sea legs wouldn't let up, so she paused often to try and regain some equilibrium. She stared wide-eyed at almost everything, amazed at the capabilities of the land-dwellers. She almost envied their ability to traverse the land with such ease and comfort, but would it really hurt to have some rain??? Why did it have to be so dry and hot? While she looked like an awestruck first-time tourist, this was not her first visit to the city, and she knew where to go to look up job ads. And almost immediately, one hooked her eye.

Ashla wrote:*The ad reads as follows:*
:: "Tired of the same old crew of gruff, grizzled men hauling your goods and demanding enormous amounts of creds? Want some fresh blood to transport your goods at extremely reasonable prices? The Hapan Alliance of Women Traders is here to help! We offer a wide selection of transport services, using state-of-the-art equipment and the first ever professional all-women team of spacers. Whether you need crystals or Corellian endwa transported, you can feel confident that we will provide you with a safe, speedy and damage-free service. Contact Ashla, Jinx or Tamar Lyn at our headquarters on Drall for further information." ::
*A holocomm frequency follows.*

Just what I could only dream off! Guppy thought excitedly, then hesitated as she took out her waterproof comlink. This is a team of spacers. What in the galaxy could she possibly do in such a team? She looks at her hands, she didn't have the strength to lift much, and her body was much too fragile to withstand much physical stress, she was also very slow and clumsy on land, and prolonged separation from water would eventually be the death of her. All this would bring some serious concerns and dissuade her from joining such a group. But she realized something else, and a way that she could contribute to this group. Reassured of her choice, she flips open the comlink and sends a message, applying to join up with the crew.

Once done, she closes the comlink and pockets it. All she had to do now was wait.

Gwyn wrote:"Nice to meet you, Lysa, and Eris."

*She nods at Ashla when the Farghul woman speaks to her and tells her that they'll be taking a landspeeder back to the base. She quietly follows along, saying little else or making much movements. She was tired out, and wanted to crash for a while. Even concrete will do, but she figured she could hold out for a little while more.*

*Ashla made a "come" gesture in Gwyn's direction, easily lifting the bags of food and carrying them back to the speeder, waiting for the young woman to hop in before starting the speeder, heading back to HAWT headquarters.*

Ashla wrote:*Ashla nodded, taking out a scrap of flimsy and scribbling the coordinates down on the piece of paper, handing it to Eris.* "Those are the coordinates, just park the ship on the landing pads. You'll see a Defender and a handful of other ships there. When you land, just send me a quick comm message and I'll come out and get you, introduce you to the rest of our team." *She smiled warmly at the sisters.* "See you soon.

*Eris too the piece of paper and glanced at the coordinates once, remembering those immediately and she crumpled the paper in case it was a hush hush situation. She, nonetheless pocketed the paper and looked up at Ashla with a warm smile.* See you in a couple of minutes.

*Eris inclined her head to Gwyn as a greeting and watched the pair leave. Her attention reverted back towards her sister and she smiled happily.* C'mon Lys, we should get some food and then head back to our ship, no? *She suggested with an eager tone, she really wanted to visit that HQ and all that lovely jazz, it was definitely exciting to say the least but they had a job! It was just perfect.

Eris went ahead and took some stuff that she and her sister both liked to eat and after paying for that small grocery, she dragged her sister out back towards where their ship was docked.*
I already love this place. It's night to be honest, don't you think?

Re: Meccha

*Lysa waited for Eris to get whatever they needed and pay for their purchases before stepping out of the shop to head back to their ship.* Yep, this place is great, we arrive, we get approached by someone and she gives us a job... There is nothing better than that.

*She thanked whatever gods was out there and looking out for them everyday. Drall was turning out to be a nice place for them, that was for sure. A few more steps and they were finally at their ship, Lysa opened the landing ramp and walked right inside heading straight to the co-pilot seat and waiting for her sister. Since she was the one that knew the coordinates.*

I really hope we'll get along with the others, and I also hope that this is going to be a good thing otherwise... Well you know. *She shrugged her shoulders once and waited for Eris to start up the take off procedure and to head to the coordinates of the HQ that they might call home soon.*

Re: Meccha

*Eris followed her sister back towards the hangar where their ship was docked and she kept close attention to what Lysa was saying, she agreed with what she said and nodded faintly.* Whatever happens, happens right? I seem to remember that despite your sense of responsibility to always take care of me like how a sister should, you always knew what was best for yourself and myself even if sometimes I don't agree but some facts are there and I will go with whatever you think will fit us.

*Eris got on the pilot seat and glanced at her sister to make sure that she was seated and without waiting any further, she began the take off procedure and got the Janeiro to take off. She input the coordinates in the nav computer and once she had the directions, she flew their ship to their destination*.

*Finding a pretty cool lookin' open air café looking out onto the Boiling Sea, Connie drops her shopping bags beside a table with three seats and sits down, picking up a menu and looking it over. Not particularly hungry, the diminuitive, pale skinned Nagai only orders a mug of stimcaf when the waitress arrives and, after the waitress heads off to get the caf, laces the fingers of her hands together and rests her chin atop them as she looks out at the sea with a somewhat melancholy expression, her thoughts having, during the course of her shopping, turned back in time and, despite the fact she does not often fall prey to dwelling on the past, becoming mired there and disturbing the silt that she had thought had settled.*

*Smiling politely when the waitress sets the caf down, Connie pushes her sunglasses up atop her head as she turns back to the bubbling and steaming Boiling Sea and tries to do that stopping thinking about things she cannot change thing before wrapping both hands around the mug of caf and lifting it to take a sip. Leaning back and slouching in her chair, Connie looks at the empty chair across from her as though it is speaking to her - which, in her mind, it, or rather the humanoid male that exists solely in her mind, it has - and then, with an incredulous expression on her face, says,* "Huh? Dude, you're, like, imagining things. No way anyone could'a tracked us here. Relax. *Grinning, she points at the empty chair and says,* Maybe we oughta make that Luminous Gardens thing our next stop, huh? Get ya, like, a massage or something."

*Between her own pensive, broody mood and 'seti's gnawing paranoia, Constanza decides to leave that whole spa thing for another day when there is a remote chance she might actually enjoy it and pays her bill and leaves the café, lesiurely walking back towards H.A.W.T.'s H.Q..*

*As she winds her way through the milling pedestrians window shoppin' or just out walkin', Connie sighs and looks over her shoulder when her wholly imiginary companion says that he thinks they are being followed. Thinking for a moment that she sees a Noghri furtively moving into an alley, Connie stops in her tracks and lifts the sunglasses from her eyes, shading them with a hand as, beings moving around her like water in a stream around a rock and giving her the occasional odd look, she squints and tries to catch sight of the Noghri.* *Nothing.* *Looking over to the empty air to her left with an accusing look, Connie points at the image her mind provides of a human male and says,* "Dude, you're sooo not gonna, like, infect me with your schizo-ness, 'kay? No way did that Noghri dude manage ta . . ."

*Running her hands through her hair and turning to continue walking as 'seti asks how she knew he saw a Noghri, Connie, not wanting to concede he has a point, mutters irritably,* "Coincidence, dude, coincidence. Don't mean a frippin' thing," *and, increasing her pace, makes her way for the place that has become her most recent home and decides to just forget about the whole maybe being followed thing as she doesn't want to believe it is a possibility and is very good at ignoring things she does not want to deal with.*

*Drall's chief scribe Kartha, acting under orders from the planetary council, prepares a full accounting of taxes collected during the previous accounting period {June 2011} for presentation to the council of Dukes and Duchesses and to Councilor Hadrig (for his archives and regular report to the Galactic Coalition's Council of Free Worlds). After a careful counting, and deduction of many expenses, a net surplus of ten million credits has been collected from Drall's eight million residents. Kartha nods to herself and scratches one furry ear as she triple-checks the math. Satisfied, she pressed a series of buttons to submit her report and transfer funds to the appropriate accounts.*

Re: Meccha

On the closer side of the boiling sea at Meccha, Gabriel was walking out in the open along the coast between the settlement and the sea. His eyes contained the sight of emptiness and inside he was filled with great sorrow without an origin as if that feeling was implanted in his brain. His paste was a steady rate forward and that's the only way he was heading- forward. He seemed like he didn't know what he was doing but there was a great feeling inside of him that forced him just to walk in this direction.

The weather was by far better down on the terrain then high up in the atmosphere. Under all the distress he was in but clueless as of why he smiled at the gleaming sea and the meadows, the breeze brushing threw his hair and not feeling restless. If he decided to now he would fall asleep on the meadow with no thought on his mind with the blue sky being the last thing he saw when he would close his eyes. Kara came running over the hill a while later constantly running towards Gabriel and once she spotted him taking off his shirt infront of the boiling sea she shouted his name and continued running again. He was starring at the boiling water and tilted his head slightly yet Kara shouted even louder and closer which stopped him. He starred towards the ground but didn't mind the shouting until she finally approached him. Gabriel.... He was looking down at the water which was gleaming back at him as he could almost see his reflection out of the ripples infront of him. She starred at him thinking he already knew about Arcad and was taking it hard but why would he be decided to take a swim in the boiling sea?! She approached closer then placed her hand around his wrist. Hey..it's me. Are you ok?

He looked down at his wrist feeling her soft hand around his wrist. To come to think of it he didn't realize that he had stopped here infront of the sea to do this but now his attention was drawn to her. When he turned to look at her he looked at her in the eyes and she could see that something had changed inside of him. Do i know you..

He looked at her closely and studied her over when she looked at him looking for something like a head wound or bruise yet she couldn't see anything so she nodded not knowing what to think and as she nodded slightly she spoke. Of course you do...it's me, Kara Weldin. You know me Gabriel! He thought for a moment then looked back to the sea, shook his head then returned to her.

No..I don't know you are. I hope we meet again Kara weldin. Bye..

He smiled then turned away from her and began walking again but his concentration on walking in this particular direction wasn't like before. As he walked he thought of that female he just met- looking in the corner of his eye hoping she would still follow but if she did not he would continue on anyway yet she wasn't in the mood to tag along with anyone right now. Gabriel Servantus your best friend is dead. We crashed landed, there's no reason why you should be walking in that direction! So stop now!!

He was surprised that she shouted at him so loud. He squinted his eyes then turned around and starred at her starring at him when he smirked. Ok...where are you going?

She thought of Nicoli then and just knew he would know what to do with Gabriel. He would think up an idea in no time and have him remembering by the end of this day. Then she returned his look and replied. You have to come back, just follow me to the ship and i'll explain everything.

He starred at her with his wide eyes and began walking towards her. As he passed her he looked down at her then continued to walk in the opposite direction and she merely starred at him until he realized she wasn't following. If you asked me to follow in this direction then why aren't you coming... He said with a curious tone but she merely shook her head and sighed. When she was finally ahead he began to follow her back to 'his own' ship were she said the crash happened.

Re: Meccha

*A small speeder bike swept into Meccha from the west, followed by a military cargo hovertruck, skimming as quietly as they could through the streets of the Drall capital, engines powered down to the minimal functional level.* *The noise was not an unusual event for those who lived so close to the planet's main spaceport, which was good for the Republic special operations team, who wished to avoid extra questions at all costs.*

=Sgt. Ruffin=
*Taking the lead on his bike, the Drall Sgt. Ruffin guided the rest of his team and the truck through a back gate of the spaceport, to a military hangar. Here, a modified Lambda-class shuttle awaited their cargo. Parking his bike and cutting the engines, Ruffin swept the hangar closely as the gates shut behind them, then shouldered his rifle and went aboard the shuttle. Moments later, after exchanging words with the pilot, he was back. He gave a hand signal to the truck, which turned, and backed up right to the rear boarding ramp of the shuttle.*

:: Alright, all clear, let's move! :: *Ruffin called out over the private com channel.*

*From there it was an easy task to transfer the cargo once more, and then the truck backed away, and Ruffin and his team saluted, as the Lambda-class came to life, it's engines flaring as it rose and swooped low over the spaceport, heading out over the dense forest as it gained altitude and disappeared from sight. The task was done.*
