Re: Northern Hemisphere

*In the middle of a plain of shaak, a Strom commando Escort carrier came crashing down. It exploded on impact and all that was within and all for 50 meters was destroyed hopelessly. The crater left behind was a brutish mark for what was left.*

Re: Northern Hemisphere

*Large complexes begin to be built to start the long mining process that would eventually serve as a mining processing center and a large pipeline would be added to provide the industrial grid in Hajibar the highest amount of material flowing in. Other companies would then tap into it. Some had industrial complexes that were already mining but this would add yet another layer to service the businesses on Foerost and provide the government needed materials for building fleets and new industrial factories on Foerost. To the south would be a massive nuclear reactor plant park that would bring in new energy to Hajibar and expand its energy grid. Next, there would be large outposts composed of troops to defend them. But, this was all in the future except for the mining part, it would be needed to be added. Foerost was adding new grids to its infrastructure. And, would soon add some more.*

Re: Northern Hemisphere

*The MMP settles down on the planet in a cloud of dust. Once firmly on the ground the engines turn off and begin to cool down. A large strip extends from one side of the MMP and begins to fold out into a landing platform. Once the engines have cooled down a hatch in the base of the ship opens and the mining droids begin to cut into the rock.*

*The citizens were delighted. At least this company would pay some attention to them. With news reporters present and holocams rolling, a representative for the citizens stepped forward. He extends his hand to shake hands with the mine officer.*

=Representative=
Pleased to meet you. As you may well know, the last company that was here, Naktone Industries, polluted heavily. Everyone all protested, and everyone was elated when Eriadu Estates had them removed. So, everyone here has one burning question on their minds: "Will your company protect the environment?"

Re: Northern Hemisphere

*shaking the person's hand, the mando answers the questions*

==MandalMine officer==
i don't know about other companies but MandalMine exists to take things out of the ground, not put them in. and if you are worried about air pollution, don't bother, the mines are all capped, to prevent trespassers, but it stops things from leaking into the atmosphere as well, and we used droid to do the actual mining so we never have to flush the air in the mines.

of course, MandalMine doesn't just mine, it also builds ships and personal gear. that means we have to keep potential customers happy. otherwise them might decide to buy somewhere else.

*The officer's words are broadcast to the waiting crowd. There is silence as the people digest what is being said, then a massive cheer rings out. The crowd disperses, satsified by the officer's assurances.*

Re: Northern Hemisphere

*the mining continues as normal. true to promises the mine does not release any new toxins into the air. in fact, due to the air scrubbers and solar power stations set up to power the mine, the air quality in the area has been slowing getting better. and the excess power produced is sold to the grid to offset the cost of running the mine.*

*Mining continues on schedule, the air around the mine continues get progressively cleaner as the mines air scrubbers continue to function. The mine is inspected and repaired as needed. The workers are given a four day holiday in honor of the later Lord Cygnus.*

Re: Northern Hemisphere

*The MandalMine MMP continues to run at peak performance. The Foerost mines have had a surprisingly trouble free year. Relations with the locals continue to improve, as the MMP slowly cleans the air and provides excess power to the local grid. A shuttle bearing MandalMine markings arrives with a new Officer, as the previous officer is retiring. A small retirement party/feast is held before the old officer departs with the shuttle.*

Re: Northern Hemisphere

*Ore continues to be processed in a timely and efficient manner at the MMine MMP. Processed ore is routinely shuttled to Geonosis for storage and use in the GI foundries and shipyard. The mando'ade staff occasionally step outside to exercise and spar with each other. The terrain around the MMP is cleaner than most other mine sites, due to the mine's contained nature and the MMP's air filters.*

Re: Northern Hemisphere

*Mining operations at the MMine MMP continue on schedule and with out any serious delays or hiccups. MMine marked shuttles continue to arrive periodically to deliver perishables and collect the processed mineral ingots. The foreman runs routine "soundings" to check the locations and sizes of nearby ore veins and begins planning new tunnels to reach them as efficiently as possible.*

Re: Northern Hemisphere

*Before the year's quota of ore could be gather, the mine foreman receives a message from HQ that the contract granting rights to the planet had been revoked. shrugging slightly, the foreman recalled all the mining droids down in the shafts. with the ore hauler not expected for months yet, and no way to carry the ore already mined, the MMP merely dumps the ingots back down the shaft.

once the ship was fully packed up and ready to go, it lifted into the air, leaving Foerost behind.*
