I'm a big fan of the Ssi-Ruu tech actually. For most of 1.0, Captain Tarfang and the Bespin Blood Pirates went around the galaxy in a modified Shree-class Battle Cruiser. Basically the story was that they had been captured by the Ssi-Ruu while on one of their journeys out into the further reaches of space, then broke free before being turned into battery cells for Swarm droids in the entechment labs.

Actually, the entechment tech played a big role when I first started RPing in 1.0.

Endor(my character at the time) was busy feuding with Darth Dragus(the original, not me). He set a trap for him on Cloud City's under levels, using entechment tech he stole from Bakura. Basically he lined a room with the machines and tricked the Sith Lord into heading into the room, where he tried to suck away his essence and finally defeat him. It didn't work, but that broken lab played a big part in future RPs.

The Ssi-Ruu have always played a certain fascination for me. If you look on the open terrain(first page), one of the last posts was made by a Yuuzhan Vong character(last post February I believe). Krogan was my half hearted attempt at a YV, though I sort of dropped him when the resurgence started because I don't like the current Vong. I was hoping to RP with ya at the time, though if I remember correctly, Tirus said you were absent for some reason or another.

It really is too bad that no one else has taken an interest in the species. To be honest, I don't think I would want to play one either. I just like the idea of sucking out someones essence via entechment, then sticking it in a toaster, or if you want to make something useful, maybe an HRD like they did in the NJO series.

Poor Captain Tarfang. When I found out that he and his little band of Ewoks weren't allowed to use the alien tech, I RPed out its destruction with Kaine Australis in a fairly epic RP. It had a wicked name for a ship too. The "Lack of Faith". Lol, stole that one from Vader.

ech the only thing origanal tottaly cannon ruvvi tech was good for was threatening others with entechment.......that and it was quite useful when that whole EMP weapon fad was going on cause since we ran on SOUL POWAAAAAA!!!......echm scuse me......since we ran on entechment the EMP attacks never worked. No electricty.

Sure, I wouldn't mind that at all. But I need to be reminded every now and again about them because I'll end up forgetting.

Well this is half reassurance to everyone who might be reading and half-reminder to myself that I will be finishing my RP with the scientists soon, I have a lot to keep up on right now but I have not forgotten Lwhekk!
