*Outside the isolated region of Sabilon, the rest of the planet generally, mostly, actually all of them tuned into the Court's Alternative News, or CAN for short. Opposed to the government-loving CCN nearer to the Government House, the CAN relayed 'truthful' news, or indeed news with more fiction than fact in most cases, twisting events and stories to make it look bad for the Members of the Senate. With their influence in the outer regions, though, most people believed them. CAN had enough influence and power to be a right thorn in the backside for even the Government! And more often than not, they tried their damned best to be a very big thorn.
As the holoscreens flickered on around the planet, rather than be greeted by anchorman Rye Styley from the CCN, most users were presented with the smiling face of Houh Jink. This Nautolan was very young and rather outspoken, and as well known through adversity as Rye is known through constant appearences. Crisply dressed, he began immediately, thought the backdrop was that of the studio, not the Praxeum.*
:: "Greetings, good morning, afternoon and night to all! I'm Houh Jink from CAN, that's the Court's Alternative News for those who don't know, reporting on the most recent events in Glee Anselm. On top news today, as you might expect, is the election. We can't call it an election because the people didn't elect the leader! The Senate did! Our Governor is not a fair representation of the people, and today ladies and gentlemen, we report on our new Governor Jhimmeh. Some think it to be a golden age, but we know differently. We at CA News have sources, and our sources tell us that policies by Jhimmeh will only lead us further down the path we're already on, and I tell you Glee Anselm needs change! Prospective Candidate Trunksvane, you will be surprised to know, is now a representative of Glee in the Imperial Senate on Bastion! That's right folks, Jhimmeh appointed his complete opposite and rival very high up in the government. He must have had some sort of fit, for how will anything get done?! Is our new Govenor afraid of confrontation? For it certainly seems like it! Is our new leader out to please, rather than to lead? It really seems like it!" ::
*An electronic beep whislted throughout the studio, stopping Houh in mid-sentence. The young Nautolan looked around, bewildered to be snapped out so violently from his monologue like that, afterall he had been on a role! Straightening up and putting on his famous smile, Houh spoke again:* :: "I'm very sorry viewers, but we're out of time! How time flies when I rant and rave like that, eh? Tune in next time for our food special from our chef all the way from Mon Calamari! That's tomorrow on CAN. And remember folks, you can with CAN!" ::
*With a cheeky grin, the screens flashed off, leaving a certain and different feeling about the new Governor around the planet. Pockets would have still watched CCN, but CAN had the outer regions in its grasp, and the impression it left had worked its own way into the heads of many Nautolans and immigrants, only time would tell what kind of damage Houh had sewn.*
