Re: Open Terrain

*As jevan pooled the force, if he looked at blackhawk he would see a moment where his eyes flashed brightly, most would take this as an optical trick caused by the lightning on malachor, but it was something more. To jevan it appeared that his attack connected, the push hitting blackhawk square in the chest as his body hurtled off the edge. As it fell though, if jevan ran over to look his body disappeared as it fell, dissipating into the air.*

"Lesson one, if an opening seems too obvious, it isn't"

*The voice came loudly across the chasm, looking out, blackhawk stood on the opposite cliff ledge, unscathed. He was smirking*

"Now, force jump over here and I shall explain"

Re: Open Terrain

As Jevan looked down to see where he was he then heard the voice above him to see him on the opposite side, and he made a suprised look that actually scared him a bit. He then ran and leaped high enough to jump over a Imperial-class Star Destroyer. He then landed and rolled as his father trained him to do on Mandalore.

Re: Open Terrain

*Blackhawk stood and watched as he leaped across, landing with a roll. Good clearing, at least he had some prior training, it would make things easier.*

"Well done, now to explain. I told you to concentrate, you did that well...internally. While you centered yourself with your eyes closed I used a relatively simple force illusion upon you, leaving an image of myself behind as I leaped to safety. Concentration means being aware of your surroundings, every part of them. Don't feel bad for falling for my illusion, you are just beginning, and beginning well."

*Blackhawk walked to the center of the plateau and motioned for jevan to follow him. He reached down and picked up a baseball sized rock. He held it out and dropped his hand, the rock floating by telekinesis. Without using his hands he threw the rock into the air and caught it again with the force*

"Telekinesis is a very useful power, with many uses. Moving heavy objects, force pushes, but the most important is using it for ranged attacks when a blaster isn't present. Catch this rock with the force"

*He sent the rock hurtling at jevan, catchable if he was at all prepared*

"Now hit me with it, but know that I can catch just as well and probably better than you can. Find A way to hit me"

Re: Open Terrain

Jevan caught the rock with his mind as it was centimeters away from his face, he caught it as it dropped and threw it up and let it float. He then used the Force to throw the ROck and as it was half way there he thrusted the Rock to rocket, towards Blackhawk.

Re: Open Terrain

*Blackhawk raised his hand and the rock stopped a few inches in front of him. He did not even flinch as he fired the rock back for jevan to catch.*

"Wrong. Hitting me is your objective, I never said it was the only thing you can do. Deceive me, force me to become distracted from the rock. Use whatever you can to hit the opponent, don't play off their opening, create your own. Now, hit me with the rock!"

Re: Open Terrain

Jevan cursed something silently in Mand'oa. He picked up the rock again but this time not immediately trying to throw the rock. He rolled his eyes left and right. At the corner of his eyes he saw two more rocks that were much more bigger than the one he had. He then looked back at Blackhawk and then threw all three of them at the same time while he did the same teqnique he did before. He knew that if someone was surronded by something they would have to block, one would have to hit them.

Re: Open Terrain

*Blackhawk followed his gaze, so he knew what he would try, but he decided to humour him. as the two larger rocks came in, he extended an arm to each and force pushed them both away, then brought his arms into his chest, using very light telekinesis to slow the rock he appeared to catch it normally with his hands, making an obviously fake grunt of pain.*

"Better, but still an easily countered attack. You have to imagine a combat situation, one use of force wave would send all three rocks back at you along with a blast of force energy. I did not forbid other powers and attacks in this lesson, do you know force lightning?"

Re: Open Terrain

Do I? That I did a while ago. That was Electric Judgement, this is Force Lightning. he said. He bent down and touched the ground. He then let a super surge of energy into the gound as 16 circular stones that were protected by Lightning. Then they raised high in the air, as they quickly were thrown from angles and threw two at his legs.

Re: Open Terrain

*For the first time blackhawk showed a bit of shock, this was a very impressive move. Swinging his arms upwards and out he let out a force wave above him, knocking at least 10 of the stones away. Out of the corner of his eye he saw one coming for his legs and sidestepped it, but missed the other. The rock connected with his shin and sent a shock through his body and caused him to go down on one knee. Luckily that allowed the other rocks to pass by him, yet that one still hurt. He stood up, obviously masking a bit of pain, but he was happy*

"Well done, that's the kind of attack I've been looking for. Deceptive purely in it's magnitude, one of the many forms deception takes. I did not attempt to dodge with my full might, simulating an opponent closer to your skill level, we'll repeat this excercise in the future. But for now, let us return to the mansion, there is another test I want to ask you to attempt"

*Blackhawk turned and walked back to the cliff face, the force pulling to him and he bent his knees and launched forward, front-flipping in the air he landed on the other side without breaking stride. He turned his head briefly to watch Jevan's jump but carried on walking, to the back of the mansion, towards the large pit they had passed earlier*

Re: Open Terrain

Jevan smiled and then jumped to the other side, as if he was Hancock. He then landed slowing himself by putting his weight on his feet and he stepped forward 5 times. He then followed Blackhawk to the back of the Mansion and then reached up to him. Well...if this next test is an errand then it's something I can't accomplish...Woah. he said looking at the pit, that he didn't noticed.

Re: Open Terrain

*Looking down into the pit, it was dug out and the walls were braced so that it looked like some sort of bizarre arena. The bottom was about 50 feet down and it spread about 60 feet in diameter. There didn't appear to be a way back up but there was a single massive door on the far side at the bottom, currently it was closed*

"No errand, but I wonder if you would like to test your abilities against something that actually wants to fight back?"

Re: Open Terrain

Okay... he said not sure if he should do it. He then ran and jumped down into the pit and landed inside. He then turned towards Blackhawk as he looked up. He looked both ways and looked up at him again.I don't see anything! he yelled from below.

Re: Open Terrain

"Look in front of you"

*Blackhawk raised his hand, locking onto the massive door with telkinesis. The large metal door creaked up, revealing a rather large cave behind, but that wasn't what jevan would notice. As the door rose, the menacing form of a storm beast came into view. This was not a great storm beast, but it was in it's maturity, about 8 feet tall it still towered above. This beast had been kept fed though so it was luckily not blood-crazed, a blood-crazed storm beast is far too dangerous. The beast stepped forward once the door was open and locked eyes upon Jevan, a dark growl emanating from it's mouth.

Blackhawk above yelled down*

"Kill it, that's the objective, sadly...it's his objective as well"

*Blackhawk clapped his hands, and it seemed to coincide perfectly with a roll of thunder in the distance. The great booming noise seemed to anger the beast, as it charged Jevan, closing from about 40 feet away*

Re: Open Terrain

Jevan turned around to see the beast that Hulked a few feet above him. It suprised him a bit as his eyes widened. He grabbed his Lightsabers and flicked them both on The Red Blade and Blue Blade, and at the same time producing electricity on his arm and charging as if he were fighting in a War.

He jumped on his head, and kicked off of it while he used the Force to kick it Forward. It seemed the anger the beast as it turned around and roared in rage. He landed and it charged at him again as he Backflipped to dodge it again. Then when he ran to stab it, it threw him to the Far side of the pit.

He then got back up and re-activated his Lightsabers. He then re-charged the Lightning and charged at it again. When it tried grabbing him, he grabbed it's arm and swung on it and held onto it. He jumped on it's head again, and dug his Lightsaber into it's skull, it made a roar that could of made Jevan go deaf. To shut it up he sent Lightning down it's skull and took his Lightsaber and jumped off.

He looked at the creature as it stood lifeless and kicked it's head to make sure he wasn't leaving it to ambush him. He then walked away and Force Jumped to Blachawk, leaving the body to rot away. Well that was fun.

Re: Open Terrain

*Looking down, blackhawk smirked as he tapped a button on his datapad. As he turned back to talk to Jevan, below in the pit, four droids rolled into the arena and lifted and removed the corpse of the fallen storm beast. The giant metal door creaked and came down with a crash. Blackhawk seemed happy as he spoke now*

"Bravo, storm beasts are not the easiest opponents. But you came out still in one piece, and you were precise enough that we can still make some dinner and retrieve the leather from that corpse, that's extra credit. I believe our first day lessons are complete. If you would like to go look for your ship now, go ahead, here's my scanner if you'd like"

*Blackhawk reached onto his belt and retrieved his portably scanner, it would pick up any non-natural electrical signals on the planet.*

"There is a room in the mansion if you need a rest as well. Go find your ship, and when your ready meet me at the trayus Academy, there we will begin your actual teachings."

*Blackhawk walked back into the mansion as the doors slid closed behind him*

Re: Open Terrain

Jevan nodded and went off the way they came from the shuttle and leaped off in a dive. He spinned as a way to decend faster, then to slow himself he Force Pushed himself to the Wall and as he neared it, he turned up and slammed his feet on the wall as his slid down rugh but not painfully and landed with a loud, but low rumble. As the floor he landed on had cracks everywhere about 6 feet away from him. He then looked at the Scanner and detected his ship somewhere. He ran towards the location in search of it.

Re: Open Terrain

*Blackhawk walked through the mansion, grabbing a bottle of wine he had left out on a table he walked to the front room. It had been built like a lodge, with a large A-frame window looking out across the cliffs of Malachor. The trayus could be seen jutting out in the distance. In the sky, lightning cracked every few seconds.

As blackhawk watched he drank and drank from his wine, looking out upon the planet that was as much a part of him as he was a part of it, he laughed out loud, a single laugh. Looking farther up, into the skies a smile, a genuine smile crossed his lips*

"Dad, I won't let your legacy die"

*He probably stood there almost an hour before he decided to exit the mansion. Taking the front elevator down to the canyon below he made his way towards the Trayus academy where he could meditate and train himself a little more*

Re: Open Terrain

Jevan found his ship and Jumped towards it. It looked as if it hadn't crashed at all. It was fine. The Droids were still deactivated but the ship was still ashy from the fall. He then went to the Cockpit and flew back to the mansion. He took his clothes and Armor from the ship and went into the mansion and put them in the room as he set them in a Corner. He took a bottle of water and drank it. He put on his Gear and headed and once again jumped down and headed towards the Trayus Academy. He looked at it in amazement as it looked beautiful to him. He then opened the door enough for him to stick his head in. He opened the door and walked inside closing the Door behind him.

Re: Open Terrain

When Carnifex looked down upon Malachor, he was genuinely puzzled. The brochures he had for Malachor suggested it was a lovely green planet, not a floating rock. He took the brochure again, this time studying it more closely. "What the kriff..." He muttered. When he actually read what was on the front page, he noticed it was made around 4000 years BBY. How it survived 4000 years some may ask? Carni's half-wit writer had absolutely no idea, and he didn't feel like thinking about it, so he decided it was an act of God. Anyway, soon, the Rusty Bucket was transformed into a ball of fire as it's hull started ionizing in the atmosphere. His hands were clenched around the control yoke so hard that they turned white, the entire ship was shaking, then suddenly, Carni was hit in the head by a rusty bolt that was holding two pieces of the ship's hull plates together. It hit his head with a loud "DLEN!" and Carni's world was spinning. Soon however, his focus came back when he noticed one of the plates threatening to permanently leave the ship. "Oh Sithspit...."

-Carni-
RHEA GET YOUR BLOODY choobies OVER HERE DO YOU HEAR ME!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!!

The control board was flashing red, indicating hull breach. "You don't say." Carni thought as he slammed his fist into the board. Right now, they were way off course, they were headed for the Academy, but now, they would land a few hundred miles west of it. Just before they left the atmosphere, mind numbing alarms went off, followed by those damned red lights and fire supressors, covering Carnifex in thick foam from head to toe, as the control board he hit earlier short circuited and caught fire. A storm cloud appeared over Carni's head, lightnings flashing, as he sat there white in foam, eyes squinted. Under his breath, he was muttering a lovely serie of profanities which are not suited for a public thread.

So when they finally burst through the atmosphere, the shaking somewhat stopped, but the controlls were screwed and he could barely keep the Bucket on course and in one piece. "Sithspit..." He muttered as a large poitny hill grew larger and larger in the viewport. There was no way he could lift her in time to avoid impact, but at least they would hit the bottom of the ship. At this point, Carni gave up. He just calmly closed his eyes, put his hand on his forehead and shook his head in disbelief. He didn't even react when the tip of the hill ripped across the bottom of the ship. When he looked up, he saw a clearing they could land in. Quickly, he grabbed the yoke and started maneuvering the damned thing, and he more or less succeeded. They neared the ground, the repulsors kicked in, then just before they touched the ground, the crapped up and died, and they slammed hard on the barren surface of Malachor.

He cursed again, got up from the chair, and stormed right out and kicked at the boarding ramp. He screamed in pain and anger as his leg got numb, then unleashed a powerful Force Push at the ramp, yanking it from the rest of the ship. He got out, fuming with anger, flailing his hands like a mad man, cursing and spitting..."Crap...can things get any worse?"
He said, then regretted saying it the second the words escaped his lips. For a large storm beast appeared behind him, sniffing around his neck and drooling on his shoulder, probably thinking about a nice lunch. Once again, he closed his eyes and shook his head in disbelief. "RHEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"............

Re: Open Terrain

*Completely oblivious to the chaos that was happening up front of the ship, I remained in the back, packing still, for I as I had begun packing, I had found the music collection of Carni’s and had been scanning through it, only to find an album I had long since lost, and it was one of my favourites ‘Storm Beast out of hell, by Sithknot’, immediately I had loaded it and turned it up full blast, singing and dancing around as I continued with my packing, still undecided if I had packed enough shoes, I had decided to play it safe, and pack the rest of my collection, better to be safe than sorry, it was at the point where the ship began to shake and rattle, where the lights were flashing madly and sounding the alarms up front, that I had, trying to fit every pair I had into the last of the cases, the smallest one left, begun to jump up and down on the case, desperately trying to secure the catches.*

Finally!

*Turning off the music, stacked my cases one on top of the other, and began, walking backwards, to pull the cases out of the living area toward the ramp, it was only when I reached it, and discovered it was no longer there, and that we had in fact landed, that I rolled my eyes and stood placing my hands on my hips and proceed to storm towards the edge to give that useless husband of mine a piece of my mind…*

CARNIFEX YOU USELESS GIT, WHAT THE HELL GHAVE YOU DONE TO THE SH…..WOAH!

*I could now see carni stood outside the ship, and there behind him stood a beast of the likes I had never seen before, towering over him, drooling over his neck…*

You dirty sod, we just had a bit on the ship, and now you want to ‘sample’ the locals? Now stop messing around and come and help me get my shoes, and where the sith is this picturesque view you promised me?
