Re: Open Terrain

*Well, that certainly complicated things. Although there were a few things Jair could clear up for him right now.*

IC: Well, we're on Zeltros, in the Inner Rim of the galaxy.

*Jair noticed the young man had a saber, but didn't mention anything about it yet.*

IC: I'm Jair Crawford. I'm a Jedi Knight from Coruscant.

*Jair checked to see if everything was alright from time to time, but the water seemed to be doing the trick, and the young man was recovering well.*

Re: Open Terrain

*he nodded as he tried to remember, but everytime he thought back to how he got here he was met with a painful block as he sighed putting his hand to his head*

"nice to meet you..."
*he said as he thought who he was....as a name formed in his mind*

"i think...my name is Mace..."
*he said as he shook his head*

"why cant i remember anything.."

Re: Open Terrain

*Jair thought out loud as he pulled out some hand warmers and handed them to Mace. He thought that would possibly help with any stiffness from being in a stasis for so long.*

IC: Well, there's no telling how long you were left in that stasis field. Either your memories have been subdued over the time, or whoever put you in that stasis might have attempted to wipe your memory. But if that were the case, they didn't do a very good job of it since you're able to remember your name.

*Jair explained, when it hit him. The oddly rapid change of expression was probably comical to the young man across from him, given that he probably did not have any clue of what had just dawned on Jair.*

IC: Did you just say... your name is Mace?

Re: Open Terrain

*he took them and slipped them on as he stepped off of the slab of stone and stumbled a few steps as his joints groaned as he bent down slowly trying to get the stiffness out of his joints. As well as regain muscle control. HIs muscles hadnt been used in God knows how long. he looked at the man as he made a face and asked.*

"ugh...yeah...i think so. thats what i remember..."

Re: Open Terrain

*Jair sat down for a moment and thought back, just to make sure, but it all made sense. He knew he recognized Mace's Force signature but wasn't quite able to put a finger on it earlier. It had been quite a while since he had last seen Mace, but, the fact that they had met in the past would no doubt be helpful in regaining his memory.*

IC: This is going to sound strange, but, we've met before. Quite a while back, at the temple on Coruscant.

*Jair explained.*

IC: You were studying to become a Jedi for a while.

Re: Open Terrain

*he looked up at him taking it in. as his hand brushed the saber that lay next to him he picked it up. something felt right about it, as if it belonged in his hand. he ignited the blade and a red blade sprung forth with a crackle. he dropped it to the ground staring as it disengaged then back to the man. he spoke in a shaky voice*

"jedi.....dont have red sabers....."
*he was so confused. he looked down at the saber, he didnt want to touch it anymore, something felt wrong. he was afraid of it.*

Re: Open Terrain

*Jair picked up the lightsaber hilt, looking at it from all sides. Jair was never one to judge a blade by its color, but, the more he thought about it, the more it all came back to him: Mace's struggle with the dark side, and his fight with his former Jedi Master. That was the last he had heard of Mace.*

IC: Pardon me for sounding like an old philosopher but... the color of ones blade does not define the one who wields it, unless they want to be defined by it.

*Jair put the hilt back down, and sat down, himself.*

IC: It's clear to me now that you don't remember a whole lot from your past. Some things may be painful for you to recall. But, you aren't bound by those things any more. You have a blank slate, and a rare opportunity to really go in whatever direction you want to go in, without feeling the pressure of the past.

*Jair explained. He would only give details of what happened if Mace asked. It was his call.*

Re: Open Terrain

*Jair nodded yet paused in thought. He had not heard or seen of Arcanus Sunstrider in quite a while. The last time he had seen him was when he left all disgruntled at that meeting. Yet Jair knew he was alive because there was no void of his Force signature.*

IC: Your old master is alive, but I honestly have no idea where he is or what he's up to.

*Jair explained.*

IC: The last I heard, he's been going around the galaxy as a Jedi Knight but independent of the order.

"wouldnt he know...when his apprentice has gone missing?"
*he asked standing up again feeling his strength return to him. as he moved his arms and shoulders slowly feeling them. he wondered what he was going to do. his old master was missing, and he had no one.*

"what about you? what relationship did we have?"

Re: Open Terrain

*Jair thought for a moment, trying to recall as much of what went on between Mace and his old master, but all he could remember was that at one point, Mace had joined a group of dark siders, and that once Arcanus caught up with Mace, the confrontation didn't end peacefully.*

IC: I remember him telling me he wanted you to make your own decision to come back.

*Jair recalled.*

IC: As for me, I know I told you a few things about the Force, and I shared my moral outlook, as I do with anyone who is interested in learning the ways of the Force, and asks me a question about it.

*Jair explained.*

Re: Open Terrain

*Rhayth slowly flew over the terrain of Zeltros looking over the all that he could see from above. So far from it seemed Zeltros was a very nice place and could be nice to do some meditating here maybe even a little training. As he flew over the Terrain he looked for a place to land his ship somewhere he could probably set up for a few training exercises to get over sitting in the cockpit of his ship for such a long time. Eventually he found a nice clearing and so he brought his ship down towards it and gently set the ship down.

Once it was down on the ground Rhayth shut down the engines and got up from his chair and headed towards the back of the ship. As he dd he grabbed his staff and then he activated the landing ramp and walked down it onto the open terrain of Zeltros. The wind felt nice after being in a ship for several days while traveling through hyperspace and so he took several minutes to just stand there and enjoy it before he started today's training. With a sigh he finally moved further out into the clearing and as he did he slammed his staff into the ground making t stick out. He then took his robe off and hanged it from his staff then taking a few more steps away from it he began to go through some basic exercises.*

Re: Open Terrain

*Mace stumbled out from the cave squinting as the hot sun burned his eyes. They werent use to the harsh light after being in a cave for several years in a coma stasis, his body preserved, but his memory completely gone. The only thing that tied him to whatever or whoever he was, was the light saber attached to his belt. He was weak and needed food and water. his body groaned as they were just getting use to movement. He groaned and ran a hand through his brown hair. His skin was very pale. his dark blue eyes looked about. then he sensed it. the force, like an old friend as he reached out to touch it and felt someone and walked towards them slowly.

he saw someone coming into focus in the distance. they appeared to be going through some sort of excerise. he hoped they had food.*

Re: Open Terrain

*Rhayth was just finishing up his exercises when he felt a presence through the force almost as if it just suddenly came out of nowhere. This struck him as odd because he had been sure he was the only one out here but now there seemed to be someone close by. He began to look around for any signs of this person but for now he saw nothing no matter where he looked. For a minute he thought his senses were just playing tricks on him but then there he was just out in the distance.

Whoever it was seemed to be weak and were moving rather slowly and even their force presence seemed to be a little weak though showed some potential. Rhayth waited a little while to see what the person intended on doing and it soon became obvious that he was headed in this direction. So Rhayth began to walk out to meet the man and when he came within several meters of him he stopped and waved to him.*

Greetings there and what brings you all the way out here?

"to be honest....i do not know...i was hoping you had some water...and food...sir"

*he asked him. Mace was close to collapsing however, something within him made sure he didnt, a deep fire to not give in to weakness burned and kept him going. he looked at the man and waited keeping a neutral face as he tried to conceal what pain he was in*

Re: Open Terrain

*Rhayth looked over the boy man as he asked fro some water and food and he had to admit he was a little shocked. This was no desert planet and so things could probably be easily found and why would someone come out here without proper supplies. The man's question did bring up many more questions to Rhayth but for now was not a time to think about them. Rhayth gestured fro the boy to follow him and he began to walk back to his ship so that he could get him some food and water.

Rhayth walked up the ramp of his ship and went straight for his little kitchen area and began to gather up some food that he had. He also grabbed a container of water and then he walked back out of his ship down to where the boy was. He offered the food to him as he was sure he would take it probably like a mad man who was starving to death but it was understandable. He would then wait until he had eaten a bit and drank some water before asking some questions.*

How long have you been out here like this?

Re: Open Terrain

*he sat at the base of his ship when the man came back out and offered him the food. Mace took it slowly from the man with a small nod. He didnt eat it as if he hadnt eaten in years. which was true. However, he wanted to uphold his dignity and ate it slowly restraining himself as he took a sip of water feeling it sooth his throat as he cleared it and looked at him and spoke.*

"Up untill a day ago, i had been in a cave in a comastasis, for 3 years, my body preserved, as well as my mind, i was released from it when a jedi found me, however, i have no memory of what i have done in my past. All i know is that i was training to be a jedi. I feel like the jedi was holding something from me..but it doesnt matter to me, I have no where to go though, or no one to go too...so i am back at ground zero."

Re: Open Terrain

*Rhayth listened to the stranger as he described what he had been through while out here and Rhayth had to admit it as the first time he had heard of something like this. To have in a way been asleep for three years was no small thing and this man was still being able to control what must of been a monstrous hunger and thirst. He obviously even still after so many years must have gained a great amount of self control which was something Rhayth could respect in someone so young.*

Well my friend sounds like you had quite the adventure in becoming a jedi. I guess I am glad I came around when I did because who knew how much longer you would have lived without food or water.
