Re: Pesktda

*The ship descends in the capital city of Pesktda. Ash shuts off the ship and stays in the captain seat, drinking some stuff from her stash of liquor. Tricky got up from her seat and looked over at Trent. She stretched up her arms and got herself ready to check out this new planet.*

"Get the boy and meet me outside."

*Tricky exits the ship and waits outside, checking out the surroundings. She took in a couple deep breaths to get the scent of this area and smirks. She likes this planet already. Checking out the datapad, she realized that there is a Medical Research facility here. Perfect. Just what she needed. Experts that knows the biology of people to realize of this boy she found. She lets out a sigh and mutters to herself.*

"This better be worth it, or else I might have to kill someone."

Re: Pesktda

*Trent just runs after Tricky as he thought she was crazy making him get the boy like there was a very big size difference between them. He had a hard enough time trying to drag him out of the pod thing but getting him out of the ship was way out of what he could do. So he just looked up at Tricky or more like glared up at Tricky and attempted to point out the problem to her.*

Um hey Tricky if you haven’t noticed that guy is like twice my size so how do you expect me to get him out here?

*Tricky turned and listened to Trent's issue. She gave him a blank stare while he glared at her and she let out a sigh. She walked aboard the ship and entered the room where Lucien was sleeping. She gave him a sweet smile and nudged him to wake up. She spoke to him in a whisper.*

"Wake up...."

*She walked out the room and left the ship, returning to Trent. She gave him a sweet smile and started to rub her hand through his hair.*

"I'm sorry. I meant to say to wake him up. Do you forgive me?"

*She knelt down in front of him and gave him the best depressed look she could, which was obviously fake.*

Re: Pesktda

Lucien walked out from the ship, yawning then stretching as they both spoke. His vision was still a little blury so he couldn't see anything really. He just wondered out as if he knew where he was.

*Tricky stood up and gave both of the boys a look. she smirked at the both of them before taking a glance at her datapad. She started to hum as she walked over to Lucien and held his hand, showing that she is causing no harm.*

"Alright, we're going to the Medical Research Facility to get some help. For this boy. He needs it."

*She starts to walk towards the facility with the boy next to her, hoping that Trent follows her.*

*Trent stood there as tricky went to wake the boy up and he was still just glaring at her when she got back. Even when she gave him that fake depressed look he only crossed his arms and continued to glare at her. Then when the guy came down out of the ship he just glared at him too and he waited for them to get going and just followed Tricky to where ever she was heading to.*

*Tricky joins back with her crew and smiles at them. She sees Trent and started to rub the top of his head. She still held a glare on her face, so she looked kinda crazy to him. it could catch him off guard but Tricky would have no idea as she walked onto Ash's ship. She waved towards Ash and sat in the co-pilot seat. She turned to see Trent enter the ship behind her and she gestured Ash to take off into orbit without saying a word.*

*Just outside the city a single Viper probe droid crashes to the surface of the planet. Like many around the planet it discards its hyperspace capsule and begins to hover above the buildings. Its sensors work at maximum to scan the entire city and it hovers above in a grid like pattern.*

Re: Pesktda

*The city was calm and quiet as the early morning fog slowly began to creep over the city from the large ocean not far from it. Most of the city's population was still asleep, only a few arising early as their jobs required them to do so. Unbeknownst to everyone, a massive war fleet was high above in the orbit of Garqi, the ships not quite visible due to the brightness of the system's sun. A massive ground invasion was soon to come, aimed to take the entire planet's population by surprise so as to lessen any chance of them to prepare. The overall goal was to minimize as many casualties as possible, although such a thing was never really quite possible when a government was being overthrown, even by its own people.*

*Barden had landed just outside of the city, enough distance away so his ships engines would not awaken any of the residents of Pesktda. The small commando squad he was to command was already present, prepping the BARC speeder bikes they were to use to get to their objective. He noticed they were all in urban fatigued armor, their helmets hiding their faces completely. Such soldiers always put him on edge as he could never see their faces, forcing him to rely on sensing them through the Force to watch for danger, something he considered an invasion of privacy. He knew it would be essential though, so he pushed his strong morals deep beneath the surface and opened himself to their minds.

Barden quickly scrambled down his small ladder, his soft boots landing with a slight slosh as the fertile rich soil of Garqi was moistened due to the early morning fog and dew. He made his way over to them, his white robe already getting slightly dirt stained on the bottom trim. It did not matter, he knowing they would get much dirtier before the day was through and their objective complete.

The soldiers saluted him as he approached, he merely nodding in return. He was not a soldier, therefore it being pointless to salute. He knew the soldiers would take no offense, able to sense that they were clones, meaning most of their emotions were hardwired and only expressed if ordered to be. One of the soldiers, his armor splashed with red paint, approached. He spoke through his helmets voice resonator, giving it much the same sound of a commlink.*

=Squad Leader Tick=
"Good morning commander. I am Squad Leader 1172, or Tick for short. Let me introduce you to the rest of the team."

*Barden nodded, correcting the commander tick before letting him continue.* "I am not a soldier, please refer to me as Master Sarrow." *Tick merely responded with a nod, then moving on to introduce the three other soldiers. He first came to a rather large man in purple splashed armor with a host of rather oversized weapons on his speeder bike.*

=Squad Leader Tick=
"This is Major 1175, or Gunner."

*Barden watched as the man nodded, Tick then moving on to the third soldier. This one was a little smaller then the other three, his armor adjourned with splashes of blue paint.*

=Squad Leader Tick=
"This is Sargent 1176, or Doc."

*The man responded in the same fashion as the second, a slight nod before going back to prepping his speeder bike. This lead him to the final man, a soldier with yellow paint splashes son his armor and a wide variety of explosives lined on his speeder bike.*

=Squad Leader Tick=
"This is Sargent 1177, or Boomer. We are Viper Squad 7, at your command."

*Barden smiled, knowing that even if they were clones some emotions still ran through them, even if suppressed.* "I look forward to sharing the field of battle with you men, but hopefully a not quite so bloody one. Now mount up, we don't have long before the streets will begin to fill with residents." *He hopped on his own speeder, placing his feet firmly on the bars on each side of the bike, sliding his left toe underneath the gear shift. He then began to accelerate, shifting gears as he rapidly gained speed and relying on the small holomap he pulled up on his speeders forward data projector to guide him to their objective...*

Re: Pesktda

*Barden turned a corner, his BARC drifting to the right as the repulsors struggled to return him to a forward motion. The rest of Viper Squad was right on his tail, the sound of their speeders only added proof as he could see their positions on the 3D holomap before him. So far they had encountered no resistance as they made their way through the streets of Pesktda, nearing the governmental sector located near the center of the city. The spire where the planets governing officials met was now visible in the distance.

Sensing they would soon be encountering at least a few small security patrols, Barden decided to relay a message to the squad. He didn't want any casualties if they could be helped, wanting to send a clear message of peacefulness to the inhabitants of not only the city, but the planet. The last thing they needed were rumors of them viciously cutting down any who dared stand in their way, that was not the way of a Jedi. He placed his portable commlink over his head, the speaker near his throat allowing him to be heard even in the most noisy situations.*
"All weapons to stun, I don't want any casualties unless it is absolutely necessary." *He was greeted by the sounds of double clicks in his ear, the soldiers pressing their transmitters twice to acknowledge they understood the order.*

*The sun was beginning to top the crest of the ocean, orange and yellow light exploding over the city and its outlying landscape. People were finally beginning to arise as dawn turned to morning. The streets had yet to begin to be filled, most simply inside their homes preparing for the day of work they believed was ahead of them.*

*Barden crouched as he scanned the area before them with the Force, searching for any individuals who may have seen them coming and be lying in wait. They had reached the governmental sector, hiding their speeders between several large buildings and gearing up before having made their way just outside of their main objective, the main seat of the planet's leaders.* "I can't sense any danger but be ready, I can't sense everything." *His ears were greeted with the soft sounds of the soldiers weapons being cocked, ready to fire their powerful stun bolts at the first sign of danger.

Barden watched as Boomer, the demolitions and tech expert, moved to the door. He pulled out a datapad, then pulling off the face of the control panel which opened the door. It was locked of course, they having chosen a side alley door to breach. He placed several clamps on to various wires, connecting his datapad to the main system of the control panel. It didn't take long before a green light flashed over the panel, the door unlocking and sliding open with a lazy 'swoosh'. Tick and Gunner quickly entered the room, their guns pointed forward as they relied on their HUDs to combat the darkness of the room.*

=Tick=
"Clear!"

*Boomer and Doc were the next two to enter, followed by Barden who brought up the rear. They continued this process throughout the entire building as they made their way to the main control room of the building. From there they would be able to access the cities entire systems grid, giving them the key to the city, so to speak. They were just heading through a large waiting room when suddenly the hairs on Barden's neck stood up, the force the screaming to him of imminent danger.* "Take cover!" *He slid behind a large pillar, the rest of the squad dropping in to a 4 point square as they covered each direction. They were just in time as several doors slid open, security forces beginning to make their way in to the room blasting away with their rifles.

He heard Viper Squad begin to fire their weapons, their deadly accuracy thinning out the rather large security force as they continued to fill the room. Barden could only speculate that they had been seen on a camera he must have missed, having been careful to Force Flash everyone he had seen. He was just about to make his way around to flank the remaining security officers when he heard the snap hiss of two lightsabers coming to life, and they weren't his...*

Re: Pesktda

*Barden took a deep breath as he pulled his dual-bladed lightsaber from his hip, stepping out from behind the pillar as he activated both of the white blades. He caught his first glimpse of the two lightsaber wielding individuals, both wearing black robes with their hoods up. Both of them were wielding single bladed lightsabers, the red glow of their blades illuminating the dark recesses of the large room.* "I was wondering if any of you would show up, Dark Jedi I take it?" *Barden remembered the background he had received on the planet, it currently being taken from a faction run by Dark Jedi.

He made his way to the middle of the room, both sides having ceased firing as they eagerly watched the trio. They were in for a definite treat, a full out battle between lightsaber wielding force users. Barden wasted no time in giving them their show, thrusting himself at the two figures. His blade was a flurry of white light as he spun it rapidly in his hands, striking at both individuals from multiple points. He knew he had had two options, either fight defensively and wait for an opening to even out the fight, or go on an extreme offensive and take the two by surprise. Either way, he was reading each and every move they made, evaluating their fighting style. It did not take him long to see they were no match for him, neither above the equivalent rank of Jedi Knight.

As they once again barely blocked a flurry of blows from him, he reached deep in the force and shoved at one of them, sending him hurling against the wall. His body slammed against the duracrete, his lightsaber hilt falling to the floor with a loud 'clank'. The figure lay still on the ground, clearly unconscious. He then turned to the remaining figure, continuing his assault with a third round of furious blows. He finished the fight with an upward sweeping blow to the mans blade, sending his blade high in to the air due to his weak stance. As he did this, he brought up the bottom of his dual hilt, stopping just below the figures cheek as his blade spun in the air, striking the ceiling and shutting off as it fell harmlessly to the floor. A stun bolt came from his side, striking the figure and sending him crumpled to the floor.

Barden knew the shot came from Tick, able to sense the soldiers emotions. Barden then looked at the few remaining security officers.*
"Lay down your weapons and surrender." *He brought up his blade, allowing the deep hum of each adding weight to his demand. They thoughtlessly dropped their weapons as Viper Squad made their way over, restraining each of them with zip ties before continuing on to the main control room.

Once they had locked down the main control room, Barden placed his hilt back on his hip, then turning to Boomer.*
"Override any security settings the city has in place and get me connected to the cities mainframe, I want full control over it."

=Boomer=
"Right away sir!"

*Barden took a seat as Boomer went to work, taking no time at all to hack in to the main control systems of the city and shutting down all security measures. After he was done with them, he moved on to accessing every other system in the city, slaving them all to his datapad for Barden's use. Once finished he handed the datapad to Barden.*

=Boomer=
"Finished sir!"

*Barden stood, moving over to the video monitors and began to pull up the various holocameras of the city. The streets were beginning to grow busy and crowded, which was perfect. He quickly activated the cities public announcement system, clearing his through before beginning to speak...*

Re: Pesktda

*The crowds on the street were at full volume as Pesktda had finally awaken and its citizens started their daily rituals. The rather loud "hustle and bustle" on the streets grew silent as the public announcement system suddenly chimed, everyone stopping to listen. The voice which came from the speakers was one they did not know, but soon would come to love, that of Jedi Master Barden Sarrow.*

Greetings citizens of Garqi, I am Jedi Master Barden Sarrow, a friend and ally. I am going to tell you of the events which happened as you slept and earlier this morning, but please do not be alarmed. Last night a war fleet took control of the space located above each major population center on Garqi. As this planet is quite defenseless, your former governing body having all but disappeared, not a single shot was fired. Then, earlier this morning, a small commando team and myself took control of Pesktda's main control center, located in the heart of your government center. While this event was taking place, the same was happening in every other major population center on Garqi.

Now I assure you there is no need to be alarmed and there were no fatalities. I, as well as the governing body I am currently representing, did not seek out a conquest of this planet. Instead a choice was given to us as to leave this planet to whomever so choose to take control, or take control ourselves and assure the people of Garqi a free and just government, as well as lives. We of course chose to liberate you of the remaining tendrils of your former...misguided governing body and will hold elections to form a new planetary senate with a leader of your choosing.

Now, until such a time can be set, I will be acting as the interim leader of this planet. I am no tyrant nor dictator, and am in fact a Jedi Master. Yes, I am sure all of you recognize that term. I believe in fairness, equality, and justice for all, not just a few. That being said life will go on as normal for you all, whatever that normal may be. Your currency will remain the galactic credit, your pay the same, and anything you own will retain in your possession. I am not here to force your cooperation, but to assure a peaceful and accepted transition to a life of guaranteed freedom and happiness under a new and just governing body. So please, continue about your day and worry not about what is to come of you. I am positive that you will grow to love the small changes to come very quickly.

Just to let you know a bit about what is going to happen, myself not seeing any reason why you should be kept in the dark, I ask you for just a few more moments of your time. The new government will be a complete senate, 2 individuals elected per city province from each major city on Garqi. One individual will be elected to the position of Supreme Guardian, who will be in charge of the planet's safe keeping, as well as assume control in any military occurrence or if martial law is voted upon. They will have no control over any other forms of government, the rules and regulations of the planet being left to the Senate, and the law enforcement left to the Judicial arm of the newly formed government.

And finally, I myself will be establishing a Jedi Temple on the planet where most all are welcome to learn the ways of the Jedi, after proper screening of course. Many Jedi Masters and Knights from my former temple will be coming to assist in the training. We will not take your children from you or actively seek out any who may be capable of Force use. Instead, once the temple is complete, we encourage you to come forward yourselves. The Jedi of this planet will have no control or sway over the Senate or any other form of governing body, and instead act only as peaceful negotiators, wise councilors, and should the time come defenders of this beautiful planet.

So to conclude, remember that we come in peace to bring you freedom, justice, and equality for all. So have a wonderful day and I look forward to my next address which will hopefully include the date at which elections for government seats will be held. May the force be with you all.

Re: Pesktda

*Much as the Jedi Governor of Gariq, Barden Sarrow, wished to take the planet from the natives and the local Government easily cede control of their world over to the LAN the events that occurred shortly after his valor filled speech would certainly erode any message he had placed in the minds of the people of Garqi.*

*It was high noon when the missiles rained down on the borders of East & West Pesktda.*

*Like the drops of magnificent and glorious much needed rain, the torpedoes the Destroyer Arceus fell down on the capitol city. Buildings were vaporized on the outskirts as the heat and power of the initial blast wrecked Pesktda. The heat from the explosion ripped any wildlife that was grown on the edges of the city to shreds, burning it to a fiery crisp. As the sheer force of the wind produced by the blast swept the streets, the first set of MAAT/i transports burst threw the cloud cover hanging in Garqi's sky - the bays to their troop hold open.* *The instant the flaming wreckage of the outskirts was visible to the Scorpia spec ops troopers visors they began to individually leap out either side of the MAAT/i transport. Their specialized suits of armor, the Valkyrie Infiltration units fitted for this operation exactly. They were entry suits, designed to carry the user from an incredibly high altitude down safely to the ground in all the naturals means of being stealth-ed. Especially useful during night raids where even a darkened non-reflective coat of paint would aid the user in being completely invisible, the suits were perfect for ambushing the capitol.* *Once clear of their designated MAAT/i transport, the Scorpia spec ops troopers one by one opened their metallic wings and caught the winds. Screaming through the skies each Commando prepared himself for the carnage that lay in wait on the surface. None could have survived the missile strikes, and those unlucky enough to have not died in the first wave were about to see hell up close.*

Re: Pesktda

*Bam!

Individually, each Scorpia spec ops soldier touched down on the dusty and still smoking earth that was once called Pesktda. Now it was nothing. Blown out buildings from the impact of the devastating torpedo barrage they had initiated in orbit were all that was left of the outskirts of the capitol city. Disengaging their glider wings on the infiltration suits, the spec ops troopers found their assigned squads and began patrolling the drop zone while the remaining hundred Commands touched base.*
*Loading their personal weapons, mainly the Shadow Carbines and their OCM-equipped sidearms, the troopers secured their zone before pushing on for the city.*

*Any noise, sound, or survivor the troopers located in the blast zone was eliminated by one of the advance troopers. For one, they didn't want news of the disaster getting out for now, and second if no one could talk about the blasts and the torpedoes launched on the capitol, it would provide a scary scenario for any city that would dare rise up and fight against the LAN-rule here on Garqi. Sure, the city would be rebuilt and the families still living be paid compensation and silenced, but the damage would still be done.* *The spec ops unit continued to push on for the capitol as they cleared building after building, only few remaining. Their destination was the city square, and soon they would be arriving in non-destroyed sections of town.*

Re: Pesktda

*Street by street, the Scorpia spec ops Troopers took hold of Pesktda before any amount of resistance could be rallied and formed against them. Their efforts were quickly shut down and dissenters of the new Government order were fruitfully executed in silence. Secret police headquarters were then established amongst the city of Pesktda, the spec ops Troopers being tasked by Command to be ever present and watchful of the people.* *All was well with the city now.. and those who cared not for who ruled over them or guided their actions continued on with their daily lives as if nothing had ever happened except a small war..*

*Four months later...*

*Once the L'Ange Noire had finally taken control over Garqi and Pesktda the city flourished. Businesses that once teetered on the brink of bankruptcy and abandonment reopened their doors to the public and private contractors and companies began to see a steep rise in their profits for each quarter. Among the civilian population, people continued on their daily grind. Working and raising their families, the average citizen of Garqi barely noticed the ever so slight increase in military presence in the city and all over Garqi.. but it was quite evident they were slowly beefing up the planets defense network. On the tops of almost every building taller than ten stories sat a heavy Vigilant Surface-to-Air Missile Platform, or SAM-V, turret and the smaller buildings possessed miniaturized Quad-laser cannon turrets with specialized Dual-launcher nanomissile emplacements placed nearby. Each of the turrets and weapon emplacements on the building rooftops were concealed as water towers or even large air-cooling units. Only the military, and very few select private corporation repairmen knew the exact nature of the massive amount of emplacements topping Pekstda's buildings.*

*On the outskirts of Pesktda, housed in a massive underground military base completely built in secret and kept hidden from the public and from orbit by numerous sensor blockers and jammers that rendered any scans of the area as blank as scanning a field of grain ready for harvest on the surface of Garqi, was one of three planetary emplacements Scorpia Industries had seen fit to construct on Garqi. The Anti-Orbital Composite Beam Turret sat in the center of a massive mountain complex, a shutter-style door above it that would part and reveal the sky above and give the Cannon ample room to move and fire up into orbit, and served as protection against fleet-actions against the capitol. Dotting the landscape around the Mountain complex were smaller underground turrets that rest just beneath the surface of the planet, hidden by the same senors and jammers that the complex came equipped with. Smaller capitol ship-grade turbolasers, these turrets were remote-controlled from within the Complex and would rise up to the surface in a time of need, perfect to halting the advance of an armada of landing craft seeking to dominate the city itself.*

*Back in the city, and on the outskirts of the city itself, similar designed turrets were strategically placed and were smaller blaster cannons and more nano-missile launchers. Designed to raise up in the streets and the perimeter of the city, the turrets were controlled via droid-operators stored in the basements of the Secret Police headquarters in the merchant quarter of the capitol. It was there that the Spec ops Troopers monitored the entire city from cameras to on-site agents walking the streets.* *Should Garqi be attacked, they were nothing but well prepared for assault.*

Re: Pesktda

*It had been close to five months after the needless attack on the cities outskirts and unexcused slaughtering of innocent civilians. The city, although free of rebellions or resistance political parties, was still in a state of fear. Nothing had been released after the speech by the man claiming to be a Jedi Master who came in peace and the terrible evil deeds that had occurred afterward. Secret police roamed the streets terrifying anyone to even speak a word about their new government or what had happened. In secret many whispered of how the new rule was worse then their previous one, although on rare occasion as word spread of what happened to those who spoke anything other then praise for their new leaders. It was a horrid time for the citizens of Pesktda...*

*Jedi Master Barden Sarrow sat in his newly furnished office, listening to the reports from the members of Viper Squad 7, whom he had tasked to keep watch over what all was happening in the new regime. His stone desk was littered with small piles of flimsi and small datapads. The wide variety of plants he had brought in, he being strangely attuned to nature, had begun to grow pale in color and stock. He had been so busy tending to the endless siege of issues thrust upon him instead of having time to simply enjoy the day, the plants sharing his mood.

Despite the tiring situation he found himself in, he had received an attitude lifting call this morning. He had been cleared to instate his own government which he had promised to the people and lift the iron curtain of the dictatorship that had been in term since the capturing of the planet. A smile crept over his face as he listened to Tick fill him in on the locations of the heads of Secret Police, City Defenses, and Acting Governor.*
"Excellent work Tick, have Viper Squad detain them and send them on the first transport off this planet. I don't care where it is heading just get them out of this system."

=Tick=
"Right away sir!"

*He could feel the joy in the squad leader's emotions, clearly as happy as he was to be rid of this tyrannical rule. He then waited until Tick had announced to him that the orders had been carried out and the men seized before heading for the cities main control room. He dismissed all of the current operators once entering, sending them all to a section of the governmental section which was soon to be designated for all to visit. It was soon to be the center for debriefing and behavioral therapy to make sure all governmental employees knew the new government that would arise and those who might oppose weeded out and sent off planet. He then activated the cities Public Announcement System (PAS). Every speaker and vidscreen in the city suddenly went black before either his voice or face appeared.*

Citizens of Pestda, I am Jedi Master Barden Sarrow. Many of you may recognize me from a speech I made nearly five months ago, and for those who don't I implore you listen to me now. I made several promises before which I have not forgotten and am now fulfilling. As I speak the Secret Police Division is being disbanded, their commander being sent off planet as well. The current government is being disbanded too, and will soon be replaced with myself as interim head of affairs until elections can be held for a planetary senate and a democracy be securely set in place.

With that being said, I believe I now owe you an apology, one which comes from the deepest recesses of my heart. All remember the travesty which occurred in the city nearly five months ago during the invasion of this planet, shortly after my speech was given. I know many lost loved ones in the attack on the outskirts of the city and the disgustingly horrific event which happened upon the securing of the city afterward. I can not bring back those lost, nor fix what has been done. It is something I must carry in my heart for the rest of my life and still to this day shakes me to my very core. What happened that day goes against everything I stand for and I swear to you it will never happen again. I will not make up any excuses as to what happened, only work my hardest to improve your view of myself and the people whom I represent.

I thank you all for your time and may the Force be with you all.

*The transmission ended shortly after a tear rolled down his cheek, Barden not wiping it away. He truly was still devastated by what had transpired that day, and when he was able to leave the planet he planned to have a very stern meeting with Master Adiemus Mantango. Until that day came, he would work his hardest to make things right and repair what damage the idiot whom orchestrated the attack had done...*

Re: Pesktda

*With the majority of the old regime's Secret Police being escorted forcibly off world by the new Jedi democratic government officials and agents, the troopers on Garqi in league with Scorpia Industries immedaitely set to work erasing their names and information from the headquarters records, slipping away into the nights of Pesktda. Their identities forever changed by Garqi records, their names stricken from military recordings of the horrific nuclear assault and raids on Pesktda. They had been hired for a job, and that was to take the city. The LAN hadn't told them that this was a no nuclear raid zone, or that they were only seizing land and not putting down a rebellion. That information, sadly, hadn't reached the eyes and ears of the mercenary battle hardened soldiers Scorpia employed to take offensive action in their name.* *Still heavily outfitted, the thousand Spec Ops troopers remained within the boundaries of Pesktda, meeting only in small groups and passing knowledge between themselves through an intricate encoded comms system relying on older archaic means of communication. With the large portion of their arms seized in the abolition of their Secret Police headquarters and base of operations, the Spec Ops troopers were forced to purchase small homes and houses, even apartments, to use as storehouses for their arms and supplies. Entire homes were converted into armories and apartments were used by each individual group to meet in private and discuss their missions and information they gathered on the new Jedi Master in charge. Using what recon equipment they had salvaged and hidden before the raids occurred, the Spec Ops of Scorpia had taken a great interest in this Jedi Master Sarrow. Almost daily recon of his activities and habits had been taken since he had taken office and pushed the old military units still holding Pesktda and they regularly had chances to eliminate him from the world of the living. Yet they made no moves yet. They didn't know where he would take Garqi, and would rather sit idly by until the moment where they either fought or ran came to be. For now, they continued their recon missions and gathered more arms and support from headquarters off world.*

Re: Pesktda

Several months after recent events...

*It had been several months since the speech given by Jedi Master Barden Sarrow. Despite the doubts which had lingered in every citizens mind, the man seemed to be keeping his word. No rumors of mysterious disappearances or even hints of a secret watch force had risen, to the contrary many of those who had been detained under the previous govern-ship had been released. A planetary senate had also been formed, the elections haven concluded only a week prior. The newly elected politicians were soon to gather for their first official meeting, a momentous occasion which would be broadcast all over Garqi.

The newly formed government, drawn up and formed by the cities interim governor Jedi Master Sarrow, was structured as such:*

I. Prime Senator - Head of Planetary Senate and acting planetary governor

II. Senate - 50 members elected from all provinces. Law making and makers of all decisions regarding the affairs of Garqi as a planet.

III. Security Corps - Law Enforcement and planetary defense. Includes military branches: Army and Navy

IV. Judicial Corps - Law defining/criminal courts

*The newly elected Prime Senator was a man from District 7 of Pesktda by the name of Vincent Fervalla. He was widely considered one of the most visionary and trustworthy men on Garqi, and came from a long line of the planets top officials. His victory was a landslide over the other two individuals who ran for the position. He had instated a head of the Security Corps, a man by the name of Tristen Ginst. He was a career military official who had been deeply involved in many of the conflicts which had risen in Garqi's past. The Senate was to decide the judges of the Judicial Corps as well as the heads of each military branch.*

*Barden stood looking out the window of his old office, it now empty of all save a finely shaped white marble desk. On the front of it was a placard reading, "Prime Senator Vincent Fervalla". Barden was awaiting the man to arrive, this going to be his first time meeting the individual elected to govern the planet and lead the Senate. He did not have to wait long, the door opening with a soft 'swoosh'. He turned, his white shoulder length hair rippling as it lay out of its usual ponytail. A smile spread across his face as he caught his first in person glimpse of the man. He was almost Barden's height, and a little stockier then him. His short cut hair was a brilliant golden blond, a fitting match to his ocean blue eyes. He definitely looked the part of one who was ready and eager to lead Garqi in to a golden age.

Barden walked toward the man, the two meeting in the middle of the office as Barden extended his hand. The man's handshake was firm, something which pleased him. This man was clearly s born leader and confident in his abilities. He released the mans hand before speaking.*
"It is a pleasure to meet you Prime Senator, I must confess I have been eagerly awaiting this moment since the announcement of your election. I have heard a lot about you, as I am sure comes as no surprise to you." *Barden clasped his hands together in front of him, the sleeves of his flowing white Jedi robe hiding them.*

=Prime Senator Fervalla
"A pleasure to meet you as well master Jedi. I myself have been eagerly awaiting this moment. I cannot say I have heard much about you, but then again no one in Pesktda has. All we really know of you is what we have been able to dissect from your two short speeches. So now that the pleasantries are out of the way, I would prefer for us to get straight to business, I have a planet to begin running after all."

*Barden was glad to see the man was indeed eager to begin, not offended in the least by the mans final statement. He too was eager to discuss the matters so as to hasten the day when he would no longer be needed to supervise the planet.* "Very well. I assume you would prefer for me to start with how this all will work, the governing of the planet and all as a sovereign of my faction, LAN. It is quite simple actually. We will leave you, and the Senate, to govern this planet as you wish. I will stay on as an adviser to you and observer as to how you all will seem to wish to govern the planet. When I feel there is no more need for such a direct watchful presence I shall take my leave and besides for fiscal reports and the occasional LAN official checking up on you, our presence will be virtually unnoticed. Should your planet deem itself ready, we might one day offer you a more direct role in the faction, but until then simply do as you see fit. We will give you assistance should you need it regarding most any matter so please do not hesitate to ask me, and in the future when I am gone, ask us. Any questions?"

=Prime Senator Fervalla=
"I can't say I have any, you pretty much hit the nail right on the head. There is an office down the hall which I have had your stuff moved to and you may use until your departure."

*Barden smiled, extending his hand once again.* "I shall head there right now and get myself situated. Just remember Senator, there will always be someone watching." *With that he left, heading for the door down the hall which was labeled, "LAN Official" and underneath it "Jedi Master Barden Sarrow"...*

Re: Pesktda

*Barden listened as the Senator from District 4 concluded his speech on the need for a better plumbing and waste disposal network for the city. He had been to several Senate meetings, four to be precise, and had paid close attention to all that was said. He rather enjoyed it, the matters being a lot more simple and quicker to discuss then in some of the other larger planetary senates he had seen. Although he could easily discern from several speeches that the districts were vying for more power then another, he could detect no corruption or outright greed as with the prior senates.

Snapping out of his train of thought, by the conclusion of the Senator's speech, he prepared to give his own. Today he was to address a growing problem which had come to the attention of the Senate in their previous meeting. Prime Senator Fervalla had asked for his, and LANs, assistance in the matter as they had yet to iron out their taxes and funding situation. In short, they were quite poor at the moment.

After a quick few words from the Prime Senator, mainly thanking the Senator from District 4 for bringing the problem to their attention and promising a committee be formed to work on it, he called for Barden to speak. Barden stood, all eyes turning toward him as he placed his arms on the dais before him.*
"Ladies and Gentleman of the Senate, I wish to address the issue of agriculture and exports which Senator Furnd of District 10 brought to the Senate's attention. Prime Senator Fervalla asked for my help, and that of my faction, in this matter. After careful consideration and deliberation, I have asked to speak now to propose a solution." *He cleared his throat before continuing.* "After looking deep in to this governments financial situation, you can ill afford to wait until it is settled before fixing this problem on your own. Do so and I have no doubt you will have starvation on your hands which will lead to anarchy. I have seen it before. The only solution, which is the one I bring to you today, may not sit well with many of you but is quite simply your only hope short of borrowing large sums of credits from the faction of which you are a sovereign planet and only making your financial situation even worse."

*Barden paused, allowing the words to sink in.* "The solution I propose is this, allow myself to form a company to take over the agricultural producing, distributing, and exporting of Garqi. The government will receive 40% of all profit generated from the exportation of the foodstuffs as well as 30% of the gross product for distribution among the various markets and donation centers. My projections show that were this to be ratified today, I can have the company running at full capacity and your problem fixed within three months. I now open the floor to comments." *He waited, knowing a storm of questions was sure to come.*

*The Senate was silent for a few moments, only soft whispers being barely audible as the Senators discussed amongst themselves the proposal put forth by the Jedi Master. It did not take long before one of them stood and spoke.*

=District 2 Senator=
"Master Sarrow, I must ask the question that I am sure is on all of our minds. What is to stop you from simply having this Senate, and the entire government of Garqi by extension, in your pocket. What you suggest is us allowing you to control our entire food supply. You must see how dangerous the approval of such a proposal is very dangerous."

*Barden waited for the man to finish speaking before answering.* "Yes, it is very dangerous. All you would have is my word that I would stick to the terms of this proposal and my percentages of sharing I put forth. Still, you have very few options left and you have my word that such an instance shall never come. Such an act is against every fiber of my moral being."

=District 2 Senator=
"Well said Master Sarrow but still only your word is very little to go on, even if it has proven to be trustworthy...so far. Why not set a portion of your operations aside to be run by the government and not your company so we may be in control of at least the distribution of the foodstuffs to our own people? Seeing as you are so eager to help us it shouldn't be a problem."

*Barden thought for a moment before clearing his throat.* "An excellent idea Senator. I see no reason why I should deny such a request. The 30% of all foodstuffs gathered I offered shall instead be 30% of all agricultural production to be run by the government. I shall provide all of the needed machinery and equipment to start you off but from there this government will be on its own. I still offer 40% of all profits from the exportation of the collected foodstuffs to the government."

=Prime Senator Fervalla=
"Make it 45% and I shall be appeased Master Sarrow. It is, after all, our stock which will be allowing you to obtain significant financial gain."

*Barden knew to argue would only be wreck-less and needless. The agricultural side of the business would only be a small portion in comparison to the other goals he had for it.* "Very well, 45%."

*Barden waited as a few more Senators stood and spoke, mainly giving their opinions on the proposal, of which most were cautious but not against it. The proposal was finally put to a vote and passed with a vote of 31-19 for. Barden was quite pleased, heading straight for his office to put the plans in to further motion when the Senate meeting was concluded...*

Re: Pesktda

*The ship cut across the sky like a knife through butter, purple contrails blending in with the hue of the air and just barely visible behind the thrusters. With a sharp turn and a stab into the hangar, the pilot found what he considered to be the most available position, considering their likely need for a hasty exit after the 'research' had been completed. The vehicle rotated and the landing wheels ejected as the ship hovered for a moment before slowly setting down on the cold cement of the Pesktda Space Port.*

"Nice work..."*Reverance spoke in a whisper, half talking to himself and half speaking as the demon on the shoulder of the Pilot.*

=Stud=
Thank you sir. How long do you imagine you will be? Should I keep the engines warm?

"Hopefully, it wont be long. We'll keep open and encrypted communications, just in case."*He turned and paused, gripping the seat as his head rotated back to Stud.* "Always keep the engine warm."

*Exiting the cockpit, in full armor and clothed as normal, he pressed into the galley where he expected to find Kegan and Akribos fully prepared for their silent assault. With a slight tilt of his shoulder, followed by a kneeling gesture, he pulled the loaded harness to himself and strapped it on. The weight wasn't too much for him to handle because, despite his age, he's a warrior and soldier at heart. No amount of bombing and killing was going to change his physical prowess.*

"Remember your assignments and remember, this is a Jedi planet. Mask you presence and blend in. We are researchers, try to come up with a reason for you presence if you so happen to be found. And remember what I said back in orbit..."*He hinted, once again, at the discussion of the potential for interrogation. The last thing they would do here was spill the beans on one of the most formidable unifications to occur in his lifetime. As he neared the door, the two following behind him, he paused to speak briefly as he hand hovered over the door and he mentally, with ease, masked the darkness of his soul.*

"Within us, there exists two. Who we are and who we are willing to be. The duality of our nature sets us apart from the Jedi...because we are willing to realize our ambitions and become who we are meant to be. Embrace it, let it remind you that we are the strong and they are the weak. In a sense, we are doing them a favor - to live in weakness is the most wretched existence I can imagine. Let us...end their suffering."*He turned his head, a sardonic grin upon his face, as he opened the ship bay and quickly walked out from the ship.*

*Reverance's crimson gaze was met with hurried walks and speedy movements as tourists and civilians scuttled by him, likely on their way to work or off to complete research. A heavy percent of the population was likely either employed by the agriculture research facilities, or was a farmer themselves. Immediately, he was greeted by a man in uniform.*

=Guard=
Sir, welcome to Garqi, home of the Vlassy Nature Preserve and Pesktda, which you now stand in. Could I offer you this brochure and discuss your purpose here?

*Reverance raised a curious brow, ever so slightly, as he took the brochure in hand and feigned interest. He slowly folded through the paper, assuming his companions had quickly moved on, and raise his head with an intentional nod of false impression.* "What a beautiful looking place, I'll try and fit a visit in my schedule. I'm here for several reasons, the first being primarily research based. I'm looking to do a pollen count on local economic plants to determine current germination rates. The second reason is that we are low on supplies."*He stated matter-of-factly, as if the measure of supplies was totally objective as he folded the piece of paper up and tucked it within the folds of his robes.*

*Without blinking, the Guard smiled jovially and pointed in a wayward direction.*

=Guard=
Well, if you head that way, you'll find the Agriculture Combine and University. They may be able to help you with the research. And there are numerous vendors throughout the city and you should be able to find a market on your way to the University.

*Reverance smiled politely and nodded, a slight bow of respect.* "Thank you, I'll head that way now."*Turning and giving an awkward wave, he walked slowly as to avoid attention. As soon as the guard had found another person to victimize, he picked up the pace, heading towards the center of Pesktda.*

    MAN! That guy is soooo...dead.
