BTL-B Y-Wing Fighter: 127,000 "7
The BTL-B Y-Wing was the earliest version of the Y-Wing type fighter, introduced in 22 BBY for the Grand Army of the Republic. It was conceptualized as a Bomber and carried powerful MG7 Proton Torpedoes. It was not known for its speed or grace as a fighter, but had a strong reputation for bringing pilots home. It also had an astromech droid socket to increase the ships capability.
BTL-S3 Y-Wing Fighter: 135,000 "7
The S3 model of the venerable Y-Wing series made several changes to the initial B model. It was faster, equipped with more powerful shields and stronger hull armor. Its guns were more powerful too. Several modifications were available, allowing the medium laser cannons to be replaced with particle cannons, and the ion cannon on the turret could be replaced by a repeating blaster cannon. This fighter was also capable of housing an astromech droid.
BTL-A4 Y-Wing Fighter: 135,000"7
The A4 was almost identical to the S3, except that the gunner position was removed, allowing for smaller crew and less loss of skill should the vessle be destroyed. In removing the gunner, the dorsal ion cannons were locked either fore or aft, as the pilot could not control the swivel and fly at the same time. The Astromech socket was retained.
BTL-A4 LP Fighter "Longprobe": 185,000 "7
The Longprobe was an advance on the A4 model, replacing the gunner with enhanced sensors, a backup hyperdrive, extended fuel supply, and a navcomputer. It retained the other charicteristics of the A4 model, including the astromech socket. The upgrades made this ship, which was favored for recon duty, cost significantly more than the A4.
BTL-S8 K-Wing Assault Fighter: 250,000 "7
The K-Wing was intended to be one of the heaviest fighters in space. Boasting a quad turbolaser turret, supported by a twin laser cannon turret and carrying enough firepower to level a city, the K-Wing was buiklt to be a dedicated bomber. Its bombing capability is evidenced by 18 bombing hardpoints capable of mounting flechette and concussion missiles, proton torpedoes, an assortment of mines, and even t-33 plasma missiles. The K-Wing boasted heavy armor and shields, and a decent sublight speed, but it lacked a hyperdrive, requiring it to be deployed from a base or carrier.
BTS-A2 Long Range Assault Fighter (H-Wing): 220,000 "7
Surpassing the Y-Wing in every respect is the H-Wing Strike Bomber. It carries more powerful laser and ion cannons, twice as many torpedoes, more armor and heavier shielding. It boasts a faster hyperdrive as well. It suffers a little in its sublight speed, and is less maneuverable than a Y-Wing, a handicap that is compensated for somewhat by a fully rotating heavy laser cannon turret.
Dianoga Class Assault Fighter: 45,000 "7
The Dianoga was slow, both in hyperspace and in sublight, and was very bulky. Its armour and shielding were questionable, especially in an era that saw the rise of the ARC-170 fighter. It compensated for all these weaknesses by being inexpensive and gratuitously over-armed, with 4 laser cannons and a single heavy ion cannon.
I4 Ionizer: 180,000 "7
The I4 Ionizer was a ship built specifically to disable an enemy craft. It mounted quad turreted medium ion cannons and a pair of disruptor torpedoes. It also boasted a medium laser cannon. High speed and powerful armour helped ensure that this fighter could close with and disable a target vessel. The single greatest drawback of the Ionizer was its low shielding -- carrying so many ion weapons interfered with the shield systems.
VGK-3 Shooting Star Heavy Assault Fighter: 220,000 "7
The Shooting Star was built to be an assault fighter -- to disable or destroy enemy fighters in as little time as possible. It carried five fire-link laser cannons, two proton torpedo launchers, and a twin ion cannon. It was of slightly below average speed, but its shielding and armor were exceptional.*
