Re: Ravelin

*Kaali closed her eyes, and sought clarity of her own mind. There were two voices in her head, two lines of thought. Yes, one was being influenced by the presence of the dark side, inserting doubt and fear, but more significant was that the second voice would not exist if those doubts were not rooted in truth. Both voices were her own, and one could not be separated from the other.

She would need to accept them both, turn them into one voice, and follow the truth of her heart. The dark side appealed to her. That was its power. She did not agree with everything that the Jedi stood for. But, there was one thing the Jedi offered that the Sith would not: hope. She may have made many mistakes that had lead her to this predicament, but she could still hope that her average, unremarkable self would have the strength to keep going, that by some miracle she would not succumb to temptation or fear, and that death would come more swiftly.

It was a terrible thing to hope for death as the lesser of two painful fates.

She opened her eyes and folded her hands in front of her, refusing to answer the Sith's words.*

Re: Ravelin

*MY cold, yet burning yellow eyes gazed at the young Jedi as she laid upon the ground, seemingly in heavy thought. Would she be turned to the Dark Side of the Force? Only time would tell, but I was impressed with her so far. It was easy to break my younger sister, Damie, but she wasn't anywhere near to the level of the Jedi laying before me. What was keeping Kaalia from joining me and accepting the Dark Side as true in her life? Are the teachings she received from the Jedi that strong to where she can resist me? If so, this woman would eb a true test of my control over the darkside.*

*With my left hand still extended out toward Kaalia's body, I began to once again impress the Dark Side of the Force upon her Jedi mind. I wanted to show her the power of the darkside and the weakness of the Jedi. I wanted to project visions of the Sith rising to ulitmate power while the Jedi flea in utter fear.*

"Turn toward the darkside of the Force and join me, Kaalia. Abandon you Jedi ways...just like they have abandoned you now..."

Re: Ravelin

*Her slanted eyes widened with fear, seeing images that did not exist, the visions in her mind showing her the horror of being on the wrong side of battle. Her lips began to move, and though at first it seemed as though no sound was forthcoming, the words were there, barely audible, and slowly growing in strength.*

"Will I escape one prison, only to be held by another, both in the name of the Force? One is driven by sacrifice, the other by ambition, and neither reason is of particular interest to me."

*As she spoke, she pushed herself upright from the floor, silver-white hair falling in a curtain around her bloodless face.*

"Must I give in to the desires of others, simply because I have something within me that I never asked for, and never wanted? No! Noooo! I deny it!"

*The fear, pain, and outrage, the likes of which she had never felt before in her short life, fueled her as nothing ever had. She pushed her hands out to either side of her, and a wave of nullifying energy emanated from her in a short, powerful burst, pushing hard at the presence of the Sith's power and being.

Her vision cleared, and she blinked her eyes as she once again focused on the reality of her surroundings. She growled, and the hoarseness of her voice sounded foreign in her ears. She did not know what drove this Sith, but perhaps she did not understand her own fate as well as she thought.*

"Give me the freedom I want, Sith, and I will accept your teachings."

Re: Ravelin

*My dark yellow eyes were burning with a deep passion for the Dark Side as I looked upon this young woman, who was quickly turning out to me one of my new students. My left hand was still extended out toward her, feeding her images of the Sith rising to the pinnacle power while the remnats of the Jedi cowarded underneath their new masters' feet. This was an image I wanted for myself one day, but I would never get there without passing my legacy on to others.*

*My eyes narrowered sharply when I felt the force suddenly begin to swarm around Kaali's body. So, there was more to this young woman that met the eye! When the Force ripped away from her body and pushed outward, I braced myself and was pushed at least five inches. My boots scraped against the ground as I lowered my arm and a smirk lifted to the left corner of my mouth while my eyes were burning brightly.*

"Good...your potential in the Dark Arts is more powerful than you know, Kaali. You will study while I attend to off world business, but when I return, I will test your abilites. If you disappoint me, you will be punished. Surprise me, and you'll be rewarded for your efforts."

*The Sith Lord turned his back on Kaali, but kept his burning gaze on her as he looked back over his left shoulder. That evil smirk remained on the left corner of his mouth, his eye frozen upon hers.*

"When I return...and assuming you suprise me...I'll grant you your own lightsaber and I'll teach you to master Telekinesis. Go, prepare yourself for my return..."

*With that, the Lord of Execution looked forward and began to walk off into the distance. His footsteps were slow, but sent echos throughout the stone room they were currently in. When he was far enough, he disappeared from sight.*

Re: Ravelin

*From the clouds above Ravelin the ship burst into sight passing the wisp of clouds that parting away with the speed of the ship entering the atmospheres. When he was piloting the ship Kara was sitting next to him looking over now and then not knowing what to make of him right now because something has changed after his sudden awakening. He brought the ship down into the capitol city over an empty landing pad then from there he shut the ships systems off with a few flick of switches until finally hearing the 'powering down' sound of the engines.* Your still angry that I attacked you.

*He let go of the controls and thought about it for the moment until he looked over at her but she couldn't tell anymore if he was happy or mad, he seemed empty.* That was the past and it cannot be rewritten. What's done is done...but if you should try it again. I will end you.

*He got up and stood past her for a moment until he proceeded threw the corridor of the ship. Kara remained where she was a bit shocked but it wasn't what he said, it was how he said it. His eyes were blank just like his face and his voice was harsh but it was as if he didn't care anymore. When he got to the center of the ship where Nicoli was cleaning up the medical bay, he turned around then stepped out to speak with Gabriel.* Bastion...why did you need to come here?

*He stopped at the round holo table in the center of the room, pressed a button which brought the entire ship minature on holo view and observed it. When he was finished searching for what he needed to find he replied to Ardaven yet did not look at him.*The ships exterior requires a few minor repairs. Stay here while I head out into the city. Possibly to other places as well. *Kara followed him in before he turned around and looked from Nicoli to her.* Your with me on this one...stay close.

*He turned away from the two and headed towards the ramp where he opened it and stepped outside. Nicoli looked at her with concern before she followed Gabriel out of the ship and into the city.*

Re: Ravelin

*A woman ran past the docked ships along the landing pad just outside of the bridge leading to the capital city. At least, it might have resembled a woman at some point....there was nothing of her clothing but tattered scraps, her alabaster hair and body were caked in sandy dirt, and she left behind a fading scent of spoiled milk. A dried and rotted cherry husk fell from the tangles of her hip-length hair as she ran by, and was she laughing...?

Many within the city stared, and a few called the authorities as she rushed through the streets, but she had an access card that allowed her into the building where she had been renting a room. Once in her domicile, she secured the door behind her and rushed into the refresher. First, a quick scrub in the shower and fresh clothing. Then, she would gather her things, close out of the building, and finally get that light freighter of hers off the ground.*

Re: Ravelin

*Not much time had passed before the same woman from before ran out of the city gates, fully dressed this time and silver hair gleaming against the orange sky. A satchel was tossed over her shoulder. She stopped before the MC18 light freighter on the landing pad and activated the ramp. She had kept the ship in good repair during her stay on Bastion, always prepared for this moment.

There was no sign of the Sith.

Within the cockpit, she threw her satchel into the co-pilot's seat and began the warm-up procedures on the ship. The engines began to hum, increasing in volume, then suddenly sputtered and died. Kaali's colorless eyes went wide with disbelief, then she slammed both fists into the control panel. Repeatedly.*

"No! No no no!"

*She pushed out of the chair, grabbing the tool-case set above her head one-handed as she continued to fly through the ship, then down the ramp. Outside and underneath the ship, she pulled off the panel that hid the fuselage that had given her so much trouble when she had first arrived. She began to work feverishly, trying to control the shaking of her hands.*

Re: Ravelin

*She slammed the fuser into place and whooped in delight as it lit up with power. Kaali replaced the panel, hastily gathered the scattered tools, and swung back onto the ramp, hitting the security controls as she disappeared inside. This time, when then engines hummed to life, they stayed that way. She rushed through the start-up hastily, deciding once and for all that she would stop being so frugal and would get fresh, new parts for the freighter on her next stop.

Perhaps Mon Calamari...go back to the source.

The exhaust ports burned with expended energy and the ship lifted away, then in a burst of speed streaked through the atmosphere towards orbit.*

Re: Ravelin

*He saw Ravelin from a distance with a hand over his eyes acting as shade to see ahead. When he approached the outskirts there was a certain feeling he got when he felt uneased but he kept going anyway into the city. He was now in the deeper part of the city with many others passing by and going his way, anyone of these people could be the person he was looking for. He looked to his left but at that moment he noticed someone look away then turn in between two buildings across the street just as a hover car passed him but when it passed he ran across after the silhouetted figure that vanished.*

He moved threw between the buildings and began running, who ever it was he wasn't to far ahead because he could hear the footsteps of him running. There was a small opening behind the building and he couldn't see him until the person appeared pulling sam and tripping him over at the same time. After hitting the ground the masked person ignited a blue lightsaber then heald it very close to his armor chest place. Why are you after me!
*When the masked person spoke Sam was confused when the voice sounded like a female speaking behind the mask. He starred without saying anything for a moment until she grabbed the top of his chest plate just under his neck and shook him.* Why did you attack me...i'm here for the file!

*She let go of his chestplate and starred at him behind the mask but she kept the lightsaber close to his chest. She expected someone more serious then this guy.* Who sent you?

*She said with curiosity but she was certain that he was the enemy. Either way Sam was still confused as to why she attacked him.* Godri- ...Darth Requiem. I'm here for the files. I am here to represent him, I am Darth Legacy his apprentice.

She was surprised of how clueless he was of what was going on. She laughed after thinking his master literally handed his apprentice to her. She stepped back yet her lightsaber was still an inch away from his armor.
Your a fool...he sent you here to kill me. Now your about to fail the mission...Darth Legacy.

*She was about to kill him with a swing until he gripped his own lightsaber and blocked her attack. As he pushed against her she fought to stand her ground and with one hand holding the lightsaber against the weight of her strike he quickly grabbed the top of her mask and pulled it off just as she kicked him in the chest and he stumbled back. He felt the chills when he caught a glimpse of her face, at first he seen Naressa, the one he loved that was murdered. But when he focused he saw a girl that looked just like her. He dropped his hilt as he starred at her, she was about to attack until she noticed he had disarmed himself.* What are you doing?

*She was stunned when he let go of the hilt. He shook his head slightly not believing what he was seeing. She did not see a sith like him before, a very odd one.* He knew...the rodder knew he was sending me to kill you. What is this some sort of test?! Your Naressa's sister..aren't you.

*She was shocked when he mentioned her but right away she knew who he was but her hand fastened around the hilt she was holding, she screamed in anger as she dashed at him. She swung her lightsaber with a fierce strike but he merely leaned quickly to the right then grabbed her wrist and then her other arm when she was going to hit him. He pushed her against the building side while she struggled.* You killed her! Your the reason why she's dead!!
*He starred at her then let go and stepped back a few times. She looked at him when he nodded to what she said, he always blamed himself for her death.* Yeah..I am. I could of saved her but i wasn't strong enough, i watched her die as a sith finished her off. I was dead for five days... He said with a stare to the ground. Then he looked up at her thinking about Godric. Look my master won't believe that i killed you unless i have something of yours...if you do this you can start off new. You'll be dead to the sith...
*She never thought of it that way. But that sounded good to her..she could finally rest for a night without her hilt at her side. She grabbed an extra hilt and threw to him. He was relived when she decided to cooperate, she nodded to him then.* Until next time... *She said before running off into the crowds of ravelin. He was quiet for the time being until he moved back out threw the city. For her sake there wont be a next time.*

Re: Ravelin

Pulling low over a building, the ship, still cloaked, blasted away into the atmosphere after dropping more than a few men.

Those men walked towards the side of the building and each systematically grabbed the railing and dropped into the alley below.

A security officer stands on the corner of a street.

Two men suddenly grab him and throw him into an alley.

There, half a dozen more also stand. All are well built, muscular, and with military style haircuts.

The officer looks about with wide eyes.

One man suddenly steps forward. He has a black cape and outfit on with a hood pulled heavily over his face.

"So...where did the jedi go?"

Officer:"What? ..What're....what're you doing? What are you talking about?!"
*The officer tries to get up, but one of the men behind him shoves him down back onto his knees.*
*Lightning arcs between the hooded man's fingers on one his gloved hands.*
"The Jedi you helped, where did he go?"

*The officer hesitates.

One of the men holding him down punches him in the face.*

*The officer spits blood and looks back up to the hooded man that has now walked close.*
"Tell me or you will die."

Officer"O-Okay...haha, i'll tell you...but only because it won't help you."

"Oh?"

*A man knees the officer in the gut.*
Officer:"They went to Yavin....Yavin....4.*groan*...heh..heh.....where the jedi.....live..."

*The hooded man's face turned suddenly back at the officer.
He waved the two men away.*

Officer:"You'll never ...get...to..them...heh."

*Then the hooded man lifted his hand out.*
"I'll be the judge of that."
*And lightning flew from the hooded man's hand with such ferocity that the officers comm exploded and clothes started to singe.

The officer fell onto his face, dead, after a few seconds, smoking.*

"We're leaving."

*The men all made crisp moment and followed the hooded one onto the roof of the nearby building where the same black ship that fell from orbit had returned to pick them back up.
They boarded and left.*
