She would need to accept them both, turn them into one voice, and follow the truth of her heart. The dark side appealed to her. That was its power. She did not agree with everything that the Jedi stood for. But, there was one thing the Jedi offered that the Sith would not: hope. She may have made many mistakes that had lead her to this predicament, but she could still hope that her average, unremarkable self would have the strength to keep going, that by some miracle she would not succumb to temptation or fear, and that death would come more swiftly.
It was a terrible thing to hope for death as the lesser of two painful fates.
She opened her eyes and folded her hands in front of her, refusing to answer the Sith's words.*
