Risi's study

*Risi’s study is large and stately, it has an overly large antique desk sat near a large open fire, and covering one entire wall is a large dark wood bookcase, full with antiques books and ledgers detailing the family history since existence.
Over by the large windows overlooking the grounds is a small table with 2 chairs where Risi takes her meals when busy with her work.
She has tow hounds that follow her where ever she goes in the house or on the estate, they are as much her pets as they are guard dogs trained to kill should anyone attack.*

Re: Risi's study

*Risi enters the study closely followed by her hounds and sits at her desk, one hound lay on the floor either side of her, she reaches over to her intercom and summons in her guards who had accompanied her earlier that day.
10 minutes later they enter the room standing before the desk heads lowered and looking at the floor…*

“What is the case with the gentleman taken into custody earlier, what is his excuse?”

*She listens to the higher ranking of the guards, as soon as he is done she turns her chair to the window and looks out over the grounds thinking of the coarse of action to take, both guards stand quietly looking to the floor waiting for her decision, a few moments later, she turns and speaks coldly but with an unmistakable sense of authority only good genes, breeding and education could determine.*
“I want him, imprisoned and set to work in the grounds, his time served will be over in 4 years, now leave”

*After an entire day of paperwork, she sends a message through to her lady in waiting and orders her bed turned down, her hot milky drink made as she is ready for sleep, her mind is still wired from too many numbers and minutes from meetings and needs some quiet.
SHe stands and leaves her study closely followed by her hounds.*

*After several hours of mind numbing paperwork Risi slid her chair back and stepped out from behind her desk and walked over to her bookcase, upon one of the shelves sits a small box, after hitting a few buttons the study fills with a soothing slow music, she smiles and walks over to a large padded arm chair and settles herself into and sits back and places her feet up on a small table before it and leans back closing her eyes and allows the music to fill her mind and slowly feels her body begin to relax.*

*Risi had now been sat in her study for several hours, she rests her head in her hands and sighs deeply, the pain in her head made worse by the jumbling of figures.

Re: Risi's study

*Sitting alone in her study as the skies begin to darken Risi reaches down and lays a hand upon her stomach, little had she realized she had skipped past lunch and had not eaten since breakfast, switching on her table lamp she leans back in her chair and stretches her back and arms before rubbing her eyes and sends a signal over the comm. For dinner to prepared and for her to be notified of when it was ready, she stands and slowly walks toward the large windows and looks out over the land, smiling a rare smile as watches the wildlife begin to emerge in the quiet of day and begin to frolic…*

Re: Risi's study

*A cut-glass sat on the desk, a golden liquid resting inside it, currently untouched, but the decanter nearby wasn't so lucky, it had almost been drained and had been placed there full only earlier that day. The hand that now grabbed the glass trembled slightly as it raised the liquid to the woman's lips, her nails chipped and broken, her eyes red with blood.

Risi had been better.

Letting the hot liquid scold her throat she let the glass fall back heavily to the desk, her eyes scouring the datapads in front of her, looking for some sign, some answers amongst the data and starcharts. Nothing. Always nothing. A knock sounded at her study door, before she answered (not that she would have bothered) a female officer entered, her neat black uniform showing her form off well, in a better mood Risi may have taken more notice of this. Striding through the room she paused in front of the chair that Risi sprawled into, to her credit she didn't show any visible sign of Risi's state and after a formal bow she looked at a point just above Risi's head as she passed over another datapad to her Matriarch.*

=Estelle=

"Your highness, that is the latest report from the Unknown Regions, there is no further trace of your Father, we cannot find where the ships that left Bassadro went. I'm sorry. I wish I could offer better news."

*Risi didn't answer straight away, her mind drifting back to Bassadro, the explosion that had ripped through the fortress in the mountains, she had been lucky that she had gone out in a rage from the way Flagg had spoken to her, she was outside the walls when it blew. Standing up she walked unsteadily to the window of her study, looking out at the star filled sky, wondering where her Father could possibly be as she saw only her reflection staring back. She hadn't been far enough away, her left cheek now bore a long white scar from the shrapnel cutting into her, under her clothes was more reminders of that day. Her pilot had found her unconscious in the ruins, drenched in her own blood, he had tried to save her and unfortunately for Risi he had suceeded.*

"Its not you that should be saying sorry Estelle, it is us, we are the failure, the one that lost all that mattered in our life. He wouldn't take us with him because we were a failure when all we desired was to serve. But we will prove ourselves worthy, one day we will be at his side again, his true Princess."

*Her voice was hoarse, cracking as the words came out and the tears fell fresh across her cheeks. The pilot had been punished for his mistake, she knew you could never trust males and now she had a permanent reminder of that lapse on her face. Waving her hand in dismissal, she heard Estelle leaving the room but didn't turn from the stars.*

"Why did you leave us? We would have done anything for you! We loved you Father! Please come back for us!"

*The cry was that of a girl for father, not a Matriarch for her King, it pleaded with the stars that hid her Father from her, but they looked back with ice in their eyes rather than the fire that burned within them. Falling to the floor sobbing she pulled her knees up to her chin and curled into a ball, her head resting against the cold plate of transparisteel.*

Re: Risi's study

*It was many hours later that a movement and slight moan of pain signalled that Risi had woken up, or was that come round? Her neck hurt as she moved it, the pain travelling down into her shoulder, it had been pressed against the window at an odd angle. Clutching her neck she moved slowly, her fingers gently massaging to release the knots within the muscles.*

"Ow. Ow. Ow."

*Staggering to her feet she stumbled to her desk, leaning heavily against it as she supported her weight that her legs didn't seem ready for yet. Pulling open a drawer, she fished through with her hands, growling under her breath as she couldn't find what she was looking for. Seizing the whole drawer she dragged it from the desk and tipped it over the floor, watching a little confused for a moment before dropping to her knees and pushing the contents around to find the painkillers that should have been there. Suddenly spotting the blister pack and picking it up only to find it empty, crunching it within her hand she reached for her comlink, pushing the hair still stuck to her cheeks with the tears she had cried herself to sleep with she spoke briefly into it.*

:: Bring us some painkillers and a bottle of whiskey, we have work to be getting on with. ::

*Slumping back against the desk leg, she fished her datapad out flicking through the pages of information her people had found for her. Looking at the words in front of her Risi suddenly had a desire, one she saw no harm in bringing to fruition. A moment later the door opened and Estelle entered, still looking immaculate in her uniform. Risi smiled a little this time, but whether it was taking in the woman or looking at the alcohol in her hand or the idea of the new present she had decided to get for herself it wasn't clear.*

"Estelle, We would like you to put in an order to the Drive Yards, order directly not through official channels, We want them to build us three Imperator II Star Destroyers. They must be painted matt black for their final finish... remember deal with the shop floor directly Estelle. No middle-men."

=Estelle=

"Of course, Your Highness, I will travel up to the yards personally at once."

*She handed over the whiskey and painkillers to Risi, wondering if she should warn her of the dangers of taking them together but thinking better of it she just swallowed the words and saluted, a slight sadness in her eyes at seeing her Matriarch's state and turned to leave Risi alone again with her thoughts and plans.*

Re: Risi's study

*Risi's eyes were caught by her datapad showing her that two people had requested to come see her, pressing a button she played the messages out. The first showed a certain respect and the female voice made Risi curious... had she heard it before? She couldn't place it anyway and shook her head as a visible sign of moving on; she would find out if they provided a good enough reason to land. The next message played through, her brow tightening at the voice and tone it spoke to her control staff. Her brother had never showed her respect but if he wanted to see her at home then he was going to have to learn to. Opening up a comm to her staff at the Ground Control she gave them a direct order.*

:: When the first girl provides a name and reason tell us and we'll see if we have time for them. Let our fleet know that they may fire upon our brother whenever ready unless he learns to say please and thankyou, if he makes it down to the estate he should be made very unwelcome. ::

*Risi pulled herself to her feet, her head was still agony, but her anger boiled the alcohol through her, she would greet any that came with a hangover, they wouldn't need to know malacia to have her be sick right now.*

Re: Risi's study

*Risi listened to the replies being relayed from Ground Control to orbit, smiling to herself at her brothers apology, he would do well with her if he remembered that, pressing a button she sent a message to General Lammy to stop targetting her brother and another to the Estate security that he was welcome if he turned up to come talk with her. Smiling she rested back in her chair and listened to the next message.*

Randall Flagg in Orbit wrote::: This is Randall Flagg, Sean Coimeádaí to the Dubhs. I will be meeting with Risi Kuat Dubh to discern her position with the loss of the head of the bloodline. Direct us to a landing pad or we shall find our own. We are not asking permission, this planet is still under the protection of the Dubh line which gives me all the permission I require by my place in the Universe, we only seek direction woman... The Dubh bloodline lies scattered and at risk of being lost and you are arguing over kriff civilities? Kuat is still under the protectorate of the Dubh blood, which means any of it are welcome upon it assuming they do not mean harm. Avidus does not mean harm, and no harm will come to him. Any which do bare harm towards a member of the Dubh lineage will answer directly to me. And by answer, I mean die. Avidus is accompanying me to the surface, therefore he is cleared to land. Go back to your work woman and see that Risi is prepared to meet with us! ::

*Sitting up straighter her eyes blazed, roaring an order directly to General Lammy to blast his ship into the next life where he could wait for her to join him for a conversation.*

"How dare he?! That disgusting little man! Why couldn't he have vanished and left us our father!?"

*Getting up out of her seat she strode to the window to look up at the sky, hoping to see a big firework show soon as Flagg was finally removed from her life. Seeing one more message had come through Risi half-hearted listened, not really bothered now by anything but ending Flagg.*

Kais Chastina in Orbit wrote::: Kuat Control, my name is Kais Chastina. Your Matriarch and I met once not so long ago on Bassadro. Please tell her..... *she grimaced, remembering their last "meeting" had not exactly been a pleasant one, but she had hope this might be received better than Flagg's rant* .....Tell her I am here to replace a glass that got broken that day! ::

*Risi heard the name, recognising the voice again, she was still with Flagg? Glutton for punishment, but attractive and Risi couldn't help but wonder if she could be a turned from her master and made hers. Frowning she looked up at the sky, what to do? Remove Flagg and lose his apprentice, or put up with Flagg a little longer and perhaps have some interesting company. Finally she made a decision, directly to General Lammy and Ground Control.*

:: Cease fire and pass coordinates for landing in the Hangar, we will see them in the Garden. ::

*Cursing under her breath she headed to wash up and change before their arrival, although she would keep them waiting a while in the Garden first. Just to make a point.*

Re: Risi's study

Avidus finds Risi's study and then after hearing that she's left swears under his breath. His sister would do much better not to irritate him he thinks to himself. Then he senses her through the force and her irritation at Randall Flagg. He smiles and remembers how he treated her he wondered to himself if she could hear him through the force. He reached out and tapped her consciousness and spoke to her alone. << I find it funny that you hold a grudge against the man that our father appointed as our personal bodyguard. One thing you might do well to know before you meet Randall once more. He has no memory of anything that has happened since our father left this universe. >> He spoke next to Vic. "Come Vic, we too shall join Randall and Christina in the garden. I hope my dear sister isn't too long. I do so miss her. . ." Vic caught a slight sarcasm in his words. But as Avidus had stated not so long ago life had not been kind to him in a LONG LONG while. . .

Re: Risi's study

*Despite the words of her brother and Flagg, Risi still refused to give up, the patrols still sent back report day after day from the worlds they visited saying there was no sign of her Father, but she still kept sending them out. The holonet scoured daily for any sign, a mention of a word that only her Father would use, a sighting in the background of the news reports, anything that would give Risi hope.

Nothing.

She knew that she would never find the answer at the bottom of the bottles of whiskey, but she still looked. At least it warmed her for a while, so much now was numb that those moments of spreading warmth were enough to hold onto. The numbness wasn't so bad either, the emotions blunted, the tears came less easily now, the wounds not as raw as they once were.

Risi stood in front of a mirror, gazing back at her reflection, a crystal goblet held in one hand, the angle that it hung at told anyone that looked at her she had already drunk too much today, its amber liquid creeping towards the rim, threatening to splash upon the ground. Not that it really mattered. With her other hand she slowly trailed along the scar that ran along her face, it shook as it slowly dragged down from her left eye across her cheek and ended at her mouth. It split her face, the skin tighter where it had been pulled back together. It was a reminder of her existence.

Closing her eyes, she took a deep breath, she wasn't even sure if she was reaching into the Force or just feeling dizzy any longer, nothing ever answered her call, she felt like she was being cut off from it... perhaps she already had. She shook and fell forward, the glass falling from her hand, its contents spilt as her hands reached out to brace herself, she felt like she was falling into the stars and a feeling of nausea overcame her as she did. Suddenly something else was near her, she anchored herself on it, letting it hold her up, its presence washing over her. Without knowing what had happened she was leaning heavily against the mirror and staring at her own blurred image.*

"Father..."

*It wasn't a wish this time, it was what she had felt, he was there.*

"Father... you are home..."

*Falling to her knees, an exhaustion overtook Risi, passing out but a smile gently forming on her face. He was back.*
