Re: Scarlet Arya (Night Club)

*she sniffed at him. her leather attire was flame retardant to an extent, however she focused hard on the apprentice. Jade was no fool with the force, she had been raised to use it and be one with it, and this apprentice was a mere trifle in the force. she pulled her towards her still harder, using a total force stasis as the apprentice was heading straight towards the flames that surrounded her. he would either break them off, or see his apprentice roast herself to death. either way it didnt matter to Jade, as she could feel herself drawing on her anger, even when her mind told her no. the dark part of her rising quickly at the spark at what seemed like freedom. Jades blue eyes darkened ever so slighty, but she retained control. giving her one final tug hard towards the flames*

Scarlet Arya - Penthouse Suite

*The smooth flow of trance music danced throughout the penthouse as gathered guests from all over mingled throughout the rooms. It was setting the mood for many of the club patrons' enjoyment of their favorite past-time: imbibing mass quantities of various alcoholic beverages, as well as the activities associated with it. "Dancing Under the Influence" is what Dart had always called it. And even while Ean wasn't one to remain nostalgic over the little things, in this case, it counted. Such was what happened here, in the penthouse of the most-lavish nightclub on Zeltros. Ean and Iago had just went through a fairly-impressive job - the acquisition of the Pyrinthian Relief, one of only three bas reliefs made for the Countess of House Akrelaine, whom Ean was currently..."entangled" with. This particular relief was a depiction of the night sky over Zeltros, constructed from color-shifting electrogel. It was a piece designed for movement, as the colors transposed within it, the "sky" changed. The item was commissioned by the Countess's husband, Count Erebus Akrelaine, who was as solemn and unromantic a Zeltron as Ean had ever received the pleasure of robbing. Since the Count was such a neglecting husband, though, it made Ean's job that much easier.*

*It didn't even need to be an elaborate con. Ean posed as an interested investor in some of House Akrelaine's import/export dealings, Dart made the introductions through a third-party contact he'd been sizing up for the past few months, and within weeks, the relief was in his possession. What was currently underway was the perfect aftermath of a job well done. The Count hadn't made it easy to steal time with his wife. Round-the-clock security detail tended to get in the way. However, once the Countess had fallen prey to certain desires, her bodyguards were easily dismissed. Their current rendezvous was a bit more discrete. She'd slipped away from her husband in the middle of the night, claiming to be with a few of her friends during a girl's night out. It just so happened that little outing was Ean and Dart's soiree here at the club. Her friends were currently enjoying Iago's company in the main room, next to the bar, along with Henry - their fellow man-at-arms who worked as the mechanic on their ship.*

*And Ean...was in the parlor. Not alone, as one would surmise from the current company who happened to be sitting in his lap. Things were coming to a close between the pair - the party had been going on for quite some time now. Ean's part-to-play had been that of a silk baron from Coruscant, Kenton Starr. The way the Countess seemed to coo her own personal nickname for him rolled off of her tongue as the "pillow talk" commenced...*

=Countess=
"Hmm...It's really too bad that you have to leave soon, Kent..." *She wrapped her arms around his neck, nuzzling him on his shoulder.* "I'm going to miss having you around."

*The con in Ean gave his best flashing smile to her as he ran his hand gently through her hair.*

"Yes, well...you never know. I might be back sooner than you think."

-------------------------------------------

*While the rest of their conversation was about as coy as one would expect, Ean realized he had to press things along. Concluding his "business" with the Countess, Ean finished dressing and excused himself from the lady's presence. Reentering the main area of the penthouse, he soon found his pair of accustomed friends.**Sliding onto the barstool, Ean greeted Henry, then turned back to face Dart for the first time in a few hours. The grin on the man's features was evident, but no more than what he knew his friend was used to. Nothing was said, only expressed. Iago only had to break the smug expression with his normal quip, and things would be back to - what they knew as - normal.*

Re: Scarlet Arya (Night Club)

*Iago gazed into his glass of the finest cognac he'd set his eyes on in a while. Liquor was expensive but it was easily bought and paid for. He never minded putting down his hard-earned cash for a bottle or four of the best alcohol. After all, he dined in style. Why not drink in style? He turned and smiled to the lovely vision of beauty sitting next to him at the bar. He leaned in towards her and slid an arm around her waist, whispering something into her ear. She turned red and giggled feverishly before whispering back to him. The crowd was quieting down at this stage. Or maybe most of them were just too drunk to care to party anymore.

Iago, or "Clark" as he was known tonight, was not one to get drunk. In fact, he was the least bit tipsy when it came to alcohol. The pills from earlier had taken care of that much. Why ruin a perfectly well-planned job by getting smashed off your face? He saw no point to it and frankly, if he wanted to do such a thing it wouldn't be in a Zeltron bar. Sure, these people knew how to party but he also didn't care to wake up a few thousand credits and a suit lighter.*

*Iago didn't even bother to excuse himself from his companion's touch as he turned his head to look at Ean's smug grin.*

"Things went well, I take it, due to the fact that we're sitting here and not in some angry man's dungeon for getting all up in his wife's 'business'?"

*His hand gripped the cognac, which he brought to his lips once more. Taking another sip, he turned back to the Zeltron next to him. She, of course, was still completely enthralled with him. Ean always played the marks. Iago simply enjoyed the companionship of women when it pleased him. Both men were used to playing mind games with the ladies.

Then she walked in. The men in the room's eyes widened and some jaws dropped. Finally, Emily had arrived. She even wore her best dress for the occasion: a black strapless dress that accentuated her curves perfectly. Maybe the Zeltron women were attractive because of their pheremones or even without such things, but this girl still had it.

She made her way over to Iago easily through the crowd. She slipped her arms around his waist from behind. He was the only one who hadn't turned around. He'd felt he mood change in the crowd and when the mood changed that quickly, it usually meant she was around.*

=Emily=
"There you are, sweetheart.'

*She was all smiles until her gaze fell upon the Zeltron all wrapped up near Iago. She shook her head.*

=Emily=
"Really, playing with the guests again? You know you can't do anymore, now that you've put a ring on my finger."

*She bit her lip and lifted a hand to look at the enormous Corusca gem. It was, of course, one of the many jobs Iago had pulled off but to the Zeltron with him, it would seem as though he'd actually bought her the ring. She almost turned a different shade with the envy and jealousy boiling over her.*

*Iago seemed flustured but he actually enjoyed this teasing of hers. It was always a surefire way to rile up the women around him and make them go for him even harder. Engaged men had that appeal, he supposed. Iago was about to retort when she sat on his lap and grabbed his hand. To others, it might seem like it was gentle. But Iago nearly gritted his teeth as the crushing grip nearly broke his hand.

Damned woman.*

*The grin continued, but it was mainly because he understood his mark quite a bit better than Dart.*

"And what 'business' it was. No...I believe she left satisfied."

*He glanced back at the door, noticing the Countess exit the parlor - a bit more-clothed than she was during Ean's visit with her. She waved lightly to him, to which he flashed her a smile. Moments later, she turned and exited the penthouse. However, as the lift door opened to let her in, he noticed who was walking out...oh, but Dart was in trouble now...*

*It was the grip that Ean noticed most. Emily may have been just an HRD, but, her emotional construct was certainly at work here. She didn't really like being the distraction in this sense. Ean learned that years ago, while working a job in Corusca Limits. The "soft play" was Em's forte. She batted her eyes, flashed a seductive smile, and the "slick" would be done by Ean or Dart. After the wallet was lifted, she might say a flirtatious line or two. But, her running a baiting operation? Never a good thing. For some reason, her programming made it seem so menial a task. She preferred a challenge.**As Emily gave Dart's hand a squeeze, Ean rotated on his barstool to look at the pair. Nodding toward the ring, Ean chimed in...*

"Well now, that must've cost you a shiny cred or two. Clarity's pretty nice." *He grinned mischievously.* "Must really love a girl if you got her that..."

*...Just egging it on...but, this was really the only time Ean could do that...*

Re: Scarlet Arya (Night Club)

*The party was continuing onward, becoming quite-interesting, thanks to the show being put on by Iago and Emily. Whereas Iago's participation in this performance was entirely-voluntary...well, that was to be determined at another time. Ean watched the banter continue, the little prods from Emily that seemed to "hurt" Iago, then his own comrade's theatrics in response. Then, of course, the Zeltron females' glaring and pouting. Ean would flash them a smile every few moments or so, just to let them know that everything should be taken with a grain of salt. But, even as the fun continued, it would not be able to last.**Within his jacket pocket, he felt his comlink beep. Taking a moment to answer it, he felt his own smile fade from his features as he heard who it was...*

Vash'Ur Nam'Aser wrote: :: Hey 'Kent'...you wanted me to notify you of any movement on the ground? Well, there's movement. Plenty of it. ::

*His hand instinctively went down to Iago's forearm. As his fellow-con looked up at him, he knew immediately what the situation entailed. Still, Ean tried to play things close to the vest.*

"Oh?...well, that doesn't sound good."

Vash'Ur Nam'Aser wrote: :: The Count's goons are all gearing up, two speeders full. ::

"...Shavit..."

Vash'Ur Nam'Aser wrote: :: Yeah...you boys better trek back up here, pronto... ::

*Another glance at Iago, then a nod towards the door.*
"Right, well...I'll close the tab here, and we'll be on our way shortly. Be ready?"

Vash'Ur Nam'Aser wrote: :: ...all right. See ya in twenty. ::

*Ean cut the comm almost as soon as he finished the conversation.**With the way things had been going down, he was certain the Count was about to bear down on him with as much of his might as possible. And Ean didn't particularly favor spending the next few months as the Count's personal source of entertainment and folly.**Sliding off of the barstool, Ean tossed down a cred-chip that held a non-specified amount of credits onto the bar-top. The droid-tender picked it up, then looked at Ean inquisitively.*

"For the room, the rest of the evening." *He made sure to say the next part aloud.* "I want my guests to have a good time!"

*A cheer rang out through the room as Ean pulled on Iago's arm. Henry jumped up as well, knowing that it was time to move from the instant he'd seen Ean's face.**As soon as the whole of the group - Emily included - was making their way out of the door, the party resumed it's own sort of frantic pace. Ean and company made their way up to the roof, where their shuttle waited. It wouldn't take long for the lot of them to get secured, and Emily to step firmly into her role as pilot, before the vessel would begin lifting off into the night sky...long before the Count and his henchmen would be due to arrive...*
