Re: Shi'ido Community

Drathe's grin grew a little wide. This was so good, so rich.

"If you were to build so far away, how would I keep an eye on you? No, build where your ships now lay. What I demand in return is that ou use this business as part of my spy network. Any information that any of your employees gain on any major even or Force Sensitive is to be reported at once. You may use Thunder Cloud Station as a temporary base of operations."

Drathe waved a hand, and turned. He walked away quickly, returning to his mansion. The same soldiers who had escorted Remus to the village stepped forward again, as the rest dispersed.

Re: Shi'ido Community

*slightly confused with the meeting, Remus returned to his ship as the other 9 touched down right by it, he said something into his comm and the cargo ships began to open and crew members began construction on a building that looked that type of Shi'ido community homes but slightly bigger, but beneath it would lay a giant store house*

Re: Shi'ido Community

After that moment, the Shi'ido changed their lives little. The commandos expanded their patrol routes, the search and destroy missions that protected the civilized areas from the monsters in the jungle. They made sure to include a safe area around the construction and landing zones of the newcomers. From time to time, one of the commandos would appear out of the jungle and stand on the edge of the cleared area, and simply stood, watching.

*The Nssis-class Clawcraft drops thru the atmosphere, the shields flaring with the friction of the atmosphere, before Nikolai levels the fighter out. Following the coordinates givne he drops the fighter down onto one of the landing pads. He sets the craft into standby mode and climbs out.*

*The heat is much different than the normal ice cold Nikolai is used to on Csilla. His armor luckily has a built in humidifier. He waits for the one who iniated the contact, hidden behind his black visor, his hands away from his visible weapons.*

Re: Shi'ido Community

Nikolai would not have to wait long. Within a few minutes of his arrival, a pair of guards, heavily armed and armoured, showed up. They both saulted at the same time, and one spoke.

"If you'd follow us sir, we'll show you to where you need to go."

*Nikolai checks out the guards from behind his visor. Heavily armed and armored, but he could spot a few weak points: typical joint type problems asscoiated with any armor, including his own.*

"Lead on."

Re: Shi'ido Community

The commandos motioned for Nikolai to move forward. They fell into position, one ahead and one behind, and escorted Nikolai through the village. The huts and houses were all formed from wood, or stone in the case of the larger ones, leading up to a central square flanked on one side by a huge mansion. However, the guards did not approach the massive building. Instead, they showed Nikolai to a small hut, about 10 feet across, near the outskirts of the village. It appeared normal, however, if viewed in such a way as to see below the wood, all the walls were composed of an unidentifiable, super-dense metal. One commando pushed open the door and motioned Nikolai inside

Re: Shi'ido Community

*Nikolai is skeptical about the area. It could just be a huge trap designed to kill him off. But he is tougher than he looks and preparred, so he walks into the building.*

Re: Shi'ido Community

Inside the hut was crowded with work benches crowding the walls. A heavy metal table, complete with restraining straps, dominated the center of the room. Countless tools, weapons, and parts lined the walls, hung on hooks, resting on stands, or filling shelves. A lone being in black robes was moving around the single internal room. As Nikolai entered, Drathe turned to face the man

"Welcome."

Despite the greeting, and Drathe's bland appearence, the evil permiating Drathe would be felt, even by one such as Nikolai

*Nikolai looks around the area, and is skeptical about this 'job' offer.*

"Are you the one with the contract?"

Re: Shi'ido Community

"Contract? Indeed I am. I assume you are the bounty hunter?"

Drathe already knew as much as he could about Nikolai, but the answer he got would help him in other ways

Re: Shi'ido Community

*Nikolai could last these pathetic games. He had dealt with enough rules and regulations to learn how to wait.*

"Why else would I be here asking about the bounty?"

Re: Shi'ido Community

Drathe motioned towards the center table. A bluish light glowed there, revealing the prescence of a holoprojector. The glow rapidly resolved into a full colour image of a human male. A recorded voice began speaking

"The target: Garton Shai. The crime: theft, murder, and betrayal to the lawful government of Sh'shuun. Wanted alive. Last know location: Sh'shuun."

Drathe motioned again and the recording fell silent.

"He fled into the jungles about three days ago, and managed to avoid our patrols. It is considered too dangerous beyond our patrol boarders for me to risk the troops that are sorely needed in our war efforts on other worlds. Retrieve Garton alive, and you will be richly rewarded."

Re: Shi'ido Community

"Political Traitor, and yet he's evaded your patrols. Ex-military? Shape-shifter? Special Force Commando? Whats the payment?"

*He asks, taking down the information via his helmets sensors and recorders.*

Re: Shi'ido Community

"We are unaware as to his exact credentials, however, he is a capable fighter and was hired to teach combat techniques to our troops"

Drathe changed the holo image to that of a large factory, then shut it off, and turned to face Nikolai directly

"Consider this a test of your tracking and survival skills. If you are successful, many more lucrative deals will open up...such as full access to Lao-Mon Industries production lines."

Re: Shi'ido Community

"Will I have support, as in someone to show me his last location as well as the location of the Sh'shuun Jungles?"

*He responds. No doubt this first mission is a test, and this man is either much harder than he is lead to appear, or the man is a scientist with a buncg of fake credentials attached.*

"His last know location was here, in the village."

A faint smile spreads across Drathe's face. The dual names often confused people.

"WHy, the Sh'shuun jungles are all around you. This is Lao-Mon. In native Shi'idese, it is called Sh'shuun. As for your target, a patrol saw him headed north, shortly before we realised what he had done."

"Fine. Hunt the chaakar down: dead or alive, preferred alive. Payment?"

*Nikolai asks again, his eyes wandering around the room as if searching it again.*

Re: Shi'ido Community

Drathe watched Nikolai. THe man was good, he would give him that. More than once, Drathe had managed to hire hunters without offering payment.

"100 000 for this first job. As well as more jobs in the future."

Re: Shi'ido Community

"Deal. Anything else, or can I get to the task at hand?"

*Nikolai asks beckoning to the jungle outside.*
