Re: Stars' End

The massive transport lands at the spaceport at the bottom of the tower, where a pair of shuttles are waiting. WIth the bottom of the tower sealed up they have to transfer everything up to the upper landing platform. A temporary dome has been erected over the platforms edge so they all a transport has to do is link up, and there is a large expanse where one does not need a spacesuit. Jack is waiting there, with Tom and a couple of soldiers as the cargo bay descends.

Iceni is the first down, her battle plate scared from many battles, but her platnium blonde hair and bright blue eyes seem to capture every mans soul. Behind her her hulking enforcer Vercingetorix, and the quiet assassin Ellac, both Sergeants dragging out their soldiers behind them, who are carrying or manuavering large pallets of equipment.

"Jack, nice to see you again." Iceni says steping forward and embracing the older officer. She turns and shakes Tom's hand "I heard you were in need of men and supplies."

"Thank you and welcome to our new base. It looks like you can fit a lot of cargo in that hulk. Where did you get it anyways?" he asks.

"Won it off a Sarkan, gave the old ship to Lys who is off picking up some more cargo and interesting gear. Permission to come aboard?"

"Permission more than granted. The living situation is a bit akward, but maybe we can convert some things."

Re: Stars' End

With the new supplies and soldiers the compound is a lot more lively. Food is rationed less, and more specialized equipment allows the group to convert more area into living space. The officers and NCO's all have their own private quarters, and the soldiers are each bunked four to a room. Weapons and ammo are stored on every level, and food is stored in wo different sections. The remainder of the supplies are divided up among several levels.

Jack still is sending out various messages to other former soldiers and fellow mercenaries hoping to attract additional groups with more supplies. Meanwhile Tom still can't seem to pin down Jack's motives or plans in these past few months: he's gone from quite and reserved, to crazy and fanatical, and now it seems with this new group of reinforcements he's back to his original ways. he hasn't yet confided his concerns to anyone but he soon may have to. If anything Bela as one of the old veterans would listen.

Re: Stars' End

The old comrades swap tales of adventure from the past couple years as they drag all of the cargo up into the tower. The stories told explain the chaos and confusion regarding the evac, the days since, and the life they all have been forced to live. The Sergeants try and swap tales of their fellow NCO's, hoping that some are still alive out there.

The evacuation of Shadow was a crazy thing, Jack says to himself. The Sith were everywhere, the Militia was in disarray, and the Prince had fled. Then came the ultimatum: leave now or face decimation at hands of the Sith, if not worse they promised. Jack had fled with the "Mongoose" and what remained of his company, and had tried to persuade others to do the same. In the end, Jack was the last one to leave: he had seen the Sith dreadnoughts drop from hyperspace and begin to charge up their weapons before the ship had jumped.

Jack still had sent his messages to all those whose comm codes he could remember. Iceni had brought her squad, which nearly doubled his force, but 70 commando's was not an army. They had two ships, and nothing to take on any Force-Users other than a handful of traps in their base. They needed some heavy weaponry including some Star Destroyers to take the fight to the enemy.

Re: Stars' End

Alaric and Ellac are both in the armory preparing their squads as Tom walks in. Jack is also there suiting up in his armor. Tom walks over to Jack.

"What's going on?" he asks. Jack looks up at Tom for a moment, before tucking a vibroblades into his sheath's. He moves to check the charge on his Blaster Pistols before responding.

"We've received word of the Death Watch being at Serenno. I've sent out a message to see if we can get some assistance from them to fix this place up, maybe get a couple allies in the deal.Want to come?" he asks sliding the pistol into their holsters. Tom shakes his head.

"The Death Watch.... they should not be trusted, they are too bloodthirsty." Tom says, shaking his head. truth be told the stories told of the Death Watch are brutal affairs. Ellac, standing behind the elder warrior laughs, a quiet guffaw. Tom turns to the small and quiet assassin.

"Yet the Death Watch kill Jedi" he says smiling, his teeth crooked and rotted. Tom just stares back. Both squads begin to file out, and Jack lays a hand on Tom.

"Your in charge then Sergeant Major."

Re: Stars' End

The soldiers continue their work in the prison facility. They are still rationing themselves of all their supplies, nothing serious, just a minor rationing to keep supplies at functional levels. With the transport full of supplies they can now last several months at their current levels of just over 300 personell.

Tom still is trying to make calls to fellow mercenaries or even former soldiers he knew in the Republic. Jack had called in his friends and his markers, and now it was Tom's turn. A good number of soldiers Tom had served with during his tours had been stalwart defenders of the Republic, and Tom could count on their loyalty. Plus with the de-armament after the war many of them may have left service. For good pay and freedom a lot might just join them bringing supplies with them. He sadly knew a few more dishonest soldiers who might have become privateers or pirates in the wake of the war. Those soldiers might have heavier gear including capital ships.

Re: Stars' End

The "Bismark" sits on the tarmac at Star's End, Tom sits at the communications array. He's on the line with another mercenary, one Jack had ran into multiple times over the past few years.

"Saphrax, you know that Jack and I would appreciate your support. Jack is just busy.... elsewhere at the moment." Tom says sitting back in the chair staring at the other mercenary. The man in front of him is dressed in leather armor, cape, greaves, bracers, with a wicked looking dagger on his hip. Behind him you can see the bridge of an Imperial Cruiser. The mercenary was in charge of a heavily modified Imperial cruiser that he had stolen after killing the Imperial garrison on his world.

::Then why does he not show his face? He sends you to do his bidding?::

"Now, you know Jack wouldn't insult you like that. I am his second and calling all the fellow warriors we know on his behalf, not just you. We are inviting all to come to our base and live as free men, no rules, no limits, just free."

::And why don't I just come and claim your planet for myself? I have the firepower after all.::

"Because then you know that all would shun you and you'd never get a contact again, you'd be a pirate and a rogue serving only the dregs. Instead we offer you a place, free of the Empire, free of the Federation, free of anyone but your brothers."

::Free to do whatever we want you say?::

"As long as you don't threaten the integrity of your brothers, yes."

The man pauses on the screen.

:You'll here from me then.::
