Re: Temple of the Ancient Order of the Whills

*Wanders through the entrance into the temple, things are oddly quiet. Vale had spent the past couple of months trying to reach this hallowed ground, in order to question himself and have himself judged by those who see eternity as clearly as Vale see's his own hand in front of his face.*
*Vale itched his hip, his holster was absent from it's usual spot on his waist. As was the sword sheath on his back.*
*You simply don't come armed to a place like this..*
*Vale cups his hands around his mouth and shouts..*

"Hello!? Anybody there?."

Re: Temple of the Ancient Order of the Whills

*A thunderous thought echos all around the ancient ziggurat. This no-place was apparently a doorway between sense and non-sense. In this place, all the worlds were dreams.*

*Following slightly behind a cold shadow, dark as a pit with no bottom, moved through the new arrival's heart as if he were in a scanner. A monumental Duinuogwuin of red and green scales, 99 m in length, who may have been there forever or might have appeared at the very second he said anything, spoke up from barely a meter behind Vale, covering the distance from head to rump that the biped had traversed after crossing the threshold of the entryway.*

Do you come here often, stranger?

*The dragon's face was passive as if he had been still for millenia, but so full of life was he that the terror he could evoke was palpable as if from an internal radiance. The calmness in his demeanor was the only thing that bespoke of this dragon/not-dragon being of any temperament other than purely wicked and violent, ruthless and cunning, strong and destructive. Something about his presence seemed too elusive to fit the general category called "reality" by most. He was undoubtedly fully imminent and engaging in the here and now, but one could not gaze upon him and fail to suspect that there was a transcendent facet to his being that was all too easy to overlook). This apparent paradox made all of his aspects, such as transcendent and immanent, wise and foolish, friendly hopelessly evil, et al) stand out as if silhouetted against a background of majestic glory.*

*Vale spun around, his hand moving instantly towards his absent holster.*
*Vale was surprised, but he had expected to feel some sort of secondary emotion, fright, fear, the adrenaline kick that was suspiciously absent had wrong-footed Vale. Realising that he had intentionally come unarmed, he lowered his head after being faced by a obviously para-natural being.*
*Vale removed his hand from his hip and clasped it into it's twin, fingers interlocking in a monk-like greeting.*

"I would have hoped someone of your ability would have known this is my first visit."

*Vale instantly regretted what had spilled off his tongue. Possibly being cocky to a rather large dragon wasn't the best of ideas..*

Re: Temple of the Ancient Order of the Whills

*The proud dragon lowered his serpentine neck so his head would be on the human's level. He was thoroughly impressed by the sharp sound of the newcomer's tongue. Perhaps there was more potential here than he had at first thought upon greeting him; no matter which historian you ask, or which sage with any knowledge about this day, or rather this moment outside of the grid of space-time, you will hear the same opinion among them all: Whill Adil was tempted to step back to a moment before Vale's hand went for his pistol, cause one to actually be there even though the visitor had been polite enough to check his weapons back at the way station to the material universe, just to see what would happen if he got shot at this range, or how it would feel. He was a curious observer of as much as possible, though a far cry from omniscient.*

Have I let you down? Am I not what you expected? Why have you come? Maybe I can help. If I really did not, as you say, know that this was your "first" visit, it is entirely plausible that what you seek is beyond my strength. Actually, maybe you've come to help me! What do you have to say about the matter, sir?

Re: Temple of the Ancient Order of the Whills

*This dragon asked too many questions, Vale had come to the home of the Universe's most illusive and mystical beings...yet here was one of them saying that perhaps he couldn't help Vale? Odd...*
*He lowered his hands, resting them in his pockets.*
*Vale thought carefully about his words this time, he hadn't been reprimanded by the Dragon for his previous tone, but the gravity that carried with each word It spoke caused him to bite back his usual demeanour and attitude.*

"I've come to seek a new purpose. I've come to ask questions about the Galaxy and Life that I don't know the answers to. I want to be nosey really...Is what I'm trying to get at"

Re: Temple of the Ancient Order of the Whills

*Unlike before, a look entered his squamous reptilian eyes that reflected suspicion. Whatever he was about to say, he changed his mind and searched the posture, the expression, the smell, and everything else both internal and external that he could about the mortal before which he stood.*

*The man displayed a curiosity the devilish Whill had rarely encountered in one with such a short lifespan. Intriguing.* *Pulling his head back finally, his neck long and flexible and at least as wide in circumference as Vale, until he rose to his full sitting height. He looked to the side. His eyes were not directly on the front of his head, but he was not looking at Vale for a moment. He was either thinking or had caught of glimpse of something not visible in most of the spectrum of light, if it was even something that was on this plane of existence.* *The matter quickly passed, and he turned again, clearly putting his full attention on Vale, glad to meet a seeker.*

Nosey? No. Wanting to know more than you do, even about things of no concern to you, is a virtue not a vice. Alas, not many share this opinion with me. But you have come on a quest. What are you wondering about? *"Get comfortable", the middle-aged dragon-turned-Whill thought. "There will always be more unknown than known no matter how long you endure on this Path; who are you, that you would even come to notice your own lack of knowledge? Don't you know those who live in the Galaxy you do tend to be blind about their own ignorance, thinking that what they know is all there is to know, and mistaking their idea of 'knowing' for true knowledge. Being convinced of something false is a trap along the way to suspecting something true, a trap few escape." It was an honor for the dragon to meet someone taking such a step, even if it be a baby-step, into is-ness.*

Re: Temple of the Ancient Order of the Whills

*Vale reached into his jacket pocket and brought out a small white stick, it's texture almost chalk-like, yet the taste was sweet. He looked up at the fully out-stretched dragon as he flicked open his light and slowly lit the end, putting away the lighter before speaking through the now smoking stick.*

"Apologies, do not judge me, this isn't a death-stick or cigarette, it's something I quite enjoy....

*He had packed several packets, to smoke as a celebration of his entry into this temple..*
*He withdrew the stick from his mouth and waved it about in front of him through his fingers.*

...They're quite harmless"

*He took another drag before speaking further..**The stick calmed him, as much as the Dragon was peaceful, for a simple human being such as Vale, speaking to one was doing nothing for his stress levels.*

"To be honest, I don't know what I could know or learn from you that would make any difference to my existence, do I want all the secret's to the galaxy? Not really, I wouldn't know what to do with them...

*Vale's leg's were aching, afterall, he had just come through a rather large amount of unknown-planet and space to this place.*
*He sat down, crossing his legs beneath him.*
*From this angle, the dragon looked even larger, as it towered above Vale.*

"I suppose the first thing I'd like to know, is what could I learn from my time here, that would stand me in good stead for my return to known space?"..

=Disclaimer=

*this is the old Wanderer visiting Tython, not the first Wanderer but the carefree cocky smartass Wanderer who i just changed into a hardcase, I figured this would be a fun storyline, his reaction at meeting the Whills*

*Wanderer lands his Bes'uliik and jumps out heading towards the Temple, he climbs up the steps which were more than he cared to climb for a maybe and not a sure thing. admiring the rubble as he walked up he thought to himself if the Whills were still alive and kicking they should reconsider how they kept their yard, obviously on Tython there were no land regulations and neighborhood associations. finally surmounting the stairs he opens the doors into the Temple and looks around, not much of a change from outside, he was told the Whills were very temperamental and hated being disrespectful or mistreated, so he decided to shout*

"HEY WHILLS! WHILLY WHILL WHILLS! SOO'EE, SOO'EE!"

*he scratches his head, the call works for Gamorreans, although they were never happy to hear it, putting his hands in his pockets he waited for an answer*

*without a response Wanderer decides to take a look around for himself, they'd regret the day they didn't show up to greet him, if they were infact truly real and not just some story.*

Re: Temple of the Ancient Order of the Whills

*The meeting with her masters, Bill and Gambit had taken far longer than she had anticipated, it had taken days to finalise the details, there were so many fine details to finalise, so many things that needed packing for my journey>

I would take time, and it would be one hell of a journey, but a journey where the goal would be the perfect prize, the love of the allfather.

With my back pack packed and stocked, I left the grand halls of Valhalla, bestowed with the power of PG and GM by Gambit and Bill, my Broadsword, my Shield, my Zena bikini, a 12 pack of Coopers and a map and compass.

As my writer was far too lazy to write me leaving the planet and choosing a different planet with the correct terrain for the story, she GMed a beautiful lush mountain terrain only ¾ of an hour away at a jogging pace, so off I went, jogging at a low and steady pace, for as we all know, every character on the app is super fit, so a jog for ¾ quarters of an hour would not even break a sweat.

As predicted, ¾ of an hour later, I arrived at the edge of the luscious mountain side, the terrain was covered in a beautifully thick fragrant moss, wild ferns and bush encompassed the mountainous edge, and atop the first slope was the beginning of a thick forest, I took a deep breath and sprayed myself with a fine mist of Evian that I had ‘acquired’ from Eversio and with a click of my fingers, a farking stick appeared in my right hand and I began to hike up the mountain*

*A bomb is placed infront of the whills building by a cloaked figure who soon ran off. It was set to go off in less than one month were it would release streamers and a fat pig.*
