The Atrium

Re: The Atrium

"I daresay I did..."
*Albon stands and paces for a moment, before looking back to Akari and Morgoth and speaking.*
"I would like to extend an offer to you to join the Martial Dominion of Chazwa. Nothing will happen to you should you refuse; you will be allowed to stay as long as you please as would any visitor on the planet, and you may leave when you choose. Should you decide to join the MDC... You will be given a military commission, quarters in the Citadel, and a position of minor governance within the MDC. Obviously I cannot promise much more without knowing your strengths. I know it doesn't sound like much."
*Albon paces again for a moment before resuming.*
"I ask because I have great hopes for the Dominion to grow into a mighty eagle of war to shield Chazwa. Right now she is a fledgeling, and I need to grow her. I need young men, like yourselves, men of war, powerful men... but good men. From what I heard, you two seem to fit that bill."

Re: The Atrium

*Ak-Akari smiles grimly at the offer. He remembers all to well the last time he took someone up on this.*

"I hate to say it but I don't know if I'd be able to do it. I'm really not one for warfare, though I do enjoy personal combat. I fear we'd put your planet here in too much danger by staying though. The last time I agreed to stay on as part of a government it lead to full scale war above Bothawui. On top of that we have an incredibly powerful homicidal maniac who wants us dead. We might have killed him when we parted but I daresay that's only wishful thinking. The brightside is that he most likely won't just come looking for us, Vampirius most likely has better things to do."

"Besides that I tend to wander, and I don't know how I'd handle staying put. If it's ok with you, I might stay a while and consider the offer but I don't think that I'll be accepting."

"If you do ever need help, contact me and I'll stop by if able, I can at least say that with certainty. If you are ever in need of aid I'll help out here, I owe you that much for your hospitality."

"What, about you Morgoth? You've been quiet so far. What is your oppinion?"

Re: The Atrium

*Ultio, who had been sitting in the chair beside Akari and listening to the conversation, responds to Akari's question.*

Well, it is a very nice offer but I'm in an unstable spot right now. Currently I think the answer is no, but the future is a possibility. I think that when me and Akari are done with our business with Vampirus, we may be able to make a more permanent stay here on Chazwa.

*Ultio sits back and thinks for a second. He then looks to Akari and to the Govenor.*

Actually I just had an idea. If we promised to help the Dominion of Chazwa after we took care of our business, would you be willing to allow us to use Chazwa as a base of sorts were we could stay when we needed rest and re-supplying.

Re: The Atrium

*Ak-Akari turns to look at Morgoth surprised.*

"I don't think that's a good idea. We shouldn't drag them into this, and besides that they have very little protection as it is. Besides, what do they have to gain from this deal? We're two people, and we don't provide that much of an advantage to them at present anyway. Your fleet got demolished back at your old base, probably part of Vampirius's plot to take over."

*While he's saying this, Ak-Akari is also speaking directly into Morgoth's mind*

<< I also don't think you should make a promise you most certainly won't keep. You've done enough harm to innocent people already. >>

Re: The Atrium

*Albon stands and shakes hands with Akari and Morgoth.*
"Well gentlemen, thank you anyway. You're always welcome on my planet. As for this base idea, I have no issue with a base on my planet. Plenty of traders and spacers have waypoints set up for themselves here. And by the sound of it this base will take a while to appear anyway, yes? By that time the rest of Chazwa's defenses should be in place."

*Ak-Akari nods to the governor.*

"It was nice to meet you governor. I wish I could have been more of an asistance. will we be provided transport back to the city then? I'd like to look around at least."

Re: The Atrium

*Albon nods.*
"Certainly, certainly. Mr. Knox will take care of you. He'll be around in just a moment, and for now I must leave you. I have several matters to attend to. So uh, enjoy the games and the refreshments, and Mr. Knox will be along presently. Good day, gentlemen."
*Albon bows sweepingly and exits.*

Yes it was. I may be paranoid but I think that they aren't very happy. I agree with you though, we should leave. I do have an idea of were to go, Corellia.

*Ultio follows Akari towards the exit.*

Well, its a highly populated Jedi world, where we can hide under the Jedi's noses. Plus I doubt if Vampirus would come looking for us there and even if he found us he would have to get through a lot of Jedi to get us.

Re: The Atrium

*Ta-Nomi-Chu, the Prime Minister of Chazwa, reclined in the Atrium after a particularly long council session. He was approached by an Aide.*

=Aide=
"Excuse me, Prime Minister, but I have a report from the mines," *The Aide extended a datapad, which the Prime Minister took.*

=Ta-Nomi-Chu=
*The Prime Minister smiled. The mine was producing extremely well; the resources were being moved efficiently to the Koensayr manufacturing hub. Everything was moving like clockwork.*
