Re: The Emperor's Palace

*A palace built for the present ruler of Nubia, The Emperor's Palacewas built from and loomed on a large hill, casting menacing black shadows down upon Nuba City. Everything from medical centers, to training/combat rooms, to libraries and bedrooms could be found within the catacombs of the glorious palace.*

Re: The Emperor's Palace

*As Andor approached the black, wrought iron gates the swung open by themselves, and without a whisper. Andor proceeded to walk up the obsidian path to the front entrance of the Palace, with an unconscious Micheal Stockwell on his back. Reaching the front doors, Andor pushed them open with a mere will of the Force. The doors swung inward and Andor proceeded for the Medical Wing, the place where Stockwell HAD to be ushered*

Re: The Emperor's Palace

*Finally arriving at the medial wing, Andor laid Stockwell onto one of the many surgical tables, ripping of his shirt and pants. He turned to a nearby nurse and gave strict orders.*

"You have one day to have him fully healed. If this objective is not met, you will be executed."

*The nurse's jaw hit the floor as she began to protest.*

=Nurse=
"But My Lord, given to the looks of him, I'm going to need at least----"

*Andor's voice was icy and harsh as it reverberated within the room*

=Andor=
"One day."

*Turning around, Andor left the medical wing and head for his chambers, where he had a large intention to rest and let his body recover from the physical strain it had undergone in the past week.*

*The nurse began her task at once, fear striken in her heart. She rolled the table over to a nearby bata tank and grabbed a small breathing mask. Securing it firmly across Stockwell's face, the nurse hoisted the man over her shoulder and dumped him into the bacta tank, where the man's injuries were surely going to heal.*

Re: The Emperor's Palace

*Just outside of the Emperor's Palace came a small unmarked freighter bearing only two passengers, Derek Chilton, and Amanda Stockwell, daughter of the wounded Micheal Stockwell who was currently being held in the Palace's medical wing.*
*Finding a clear patch of green grass in the Palace's courtyard, Derek brought the freighter down to land softly. The gears hissed as air was exhausted into the already humid, hot air. Looking over to Amanda, Derek stood up after unstrapping himself from his seat.*

*Pressing a button, the landing ramp began to extend with a hiss and small screeches of scraping metal. Derek offered his hand to Amanda, his palm facing upwards. His blue eyes dove deeply into hers as his voice whispered in her ear.*

"Here we are, My Darling. Your father awaits. And I would be honored to escort you."

Re: The Emperor's Palace

Darth Andor wrote:*Hunter's voice was calm as he responded,*:: "Please hold on one second, Mr. Eric. I will be in contact with you shortly." ::*Then the channel was cut.*

*Hunter turned around, his face slightly paler than usual and his voice filled with curiosity.*

"That pilot said a man named Aeon was on that ship... Andor told us to be on the lookout for someone with that name. I guess I should call our Lord and see what he advises."

*With that, Hunter took his personal comm unit out of his pocket and opened a channel with Andor's who currently was located down on the surface, somewhere inside the Emperor's Palace.*

*Andor's commlink began to beep annoyingly. The Dark Lord's eyes fluttered open and he drowsily look towards his bedside table. Lazily, Andor picked up his comlink and opened the channel.*

"What is it Commander?"

:: "My Lord. Two ships have just arrived in Nubia's orbit, Sir. One held two passengers of the names Derek Chilton and Amanda Stockwell, they are currently on trajectory towards your palace." ::

*Andor's eyes focused a little more at the mention of Stockwell's daughter's name.*

"That's good news Commander. What of the other ship?"

*There was a slight pause, and then a gulp.*

:: The second ship has three people on board sir, and one goes by the name of Aeon. W-" ::

*Andor's eyes widened as his body bolted upright into a sitting position, his voice was a roar full of anger and rage.*

"OPEN FIRE! DON'T LET HIM REACH THE SURFACE!"

*The gap a silence extended and then Hunter's voice responded, completely lost of nerve. HIs voice shook with fear.*

:: "It will be done, My Lord. Captain, Open Fire." ::

*And then the signal went dead as the line was disconnected.*

*Andor rushed out of bed and to his wardrobe where he hastily threw on one of his countless black tunics and then he threw his crimson cloak on over top. He stopped to put on his leather boots as he tied the strings to the point where they could cause serious blood flow issues to the ankles and knees. Then he marched to his bedside table, opened the top drawer and grabbed his two lightsabers. Strapping them each onto one forearm, Andor then grabbed his DC-15 blaster pistol and strapped its holster to his right hip.*

*Turning around, Andor was out the door in less than the blink of an eye.*

"Here we are, My Darling. Your father awaits. And I would be honored to escort you."

*Michael Stockwell, the famed Admiral of the Dark Angel fleet and the one who started the latest Mustafarian War, took more damage than his body should have taken. His problems started when he was back on Mustafar and his transport ship, which he was using to escape the Federation's wrath, was shot out of the sky by an attack bomber. While he did survive the crash, the events afterward only put more strain on his already bloodied body. Even though he had received little medical attention, it was not enough to bring him back to 100% or to mend his wounds. Now that he was on Nubia, he finally had a chance to recover and maybe learn a think or two about the ways of the Force.*

*The Admiral laid in the medical bay, still unconscious to the rest of the world. Just before he was brought to the palace, he had drank himself silly affer getting an update that the Rebellion on Mustafar had surrendered to the Federation. The news broke him in more ways than he knew possible and he was left mute from it. When would he talk again? No one knew. But the Admiral that fought bravely over Mustafar's orbit had died.*

*On the other hand, Amanda, Michael's daughter, had just landed with Derek in the 'borrowed' freighter the two of them got from Mustafar. She was wearing a borrowed set of what appeared to be white robes with a hood attached. Taking Derek's hand, she would follow him in silence until she found her father.*

*Derek, with Amanda's hand grasped in his, began to lead her down the various corridors in of the Palace. Their feet raced across the metal floors as the searched unknowingly for Micheal Stockwell's location.*

*Suddenly, rounding a corner, Derek slammed into another body a let out a grunt has he was thrown backwards and landed hard on his back. His head smashed against the ground and he laid there, conscious, but extremely dazed and out of breath.*

*As Andor hurried to his ship, he rounded a corner in the hallway and ran straight into some careless stranger. Then, the young boy seemed to bounce of Andor and land on his rump. Stumbling, Andor took a few steps backwards and began to curse.*

"What the kriff are you doing here? Who are you?" *Andor's body tensed, as his paranoia kicked in as he throught the Derek was an agent of Aeon. HIs lightsaber slid into his hand and he pointed it at the boy, but kept it unlit.*

*Derek's voice was pleading, quivering with fear as he realized he had just stumbled into a powerful man, and judging the fact they were in the Emperor's Palace, it was either a bodyguard or the Emperor himself.*

=Derek=
"I... I apologize, Sir. My name is.... is Derek. Derek Chilton. This is Amanda Stockwell."*Taking a gulp and pausing to catch his breath and to shake the stars out of his vision, Derek continued,* "We heard that Amanda's father, Micheal Stockwell was located somewhere within this palace. Please.... Please excuse us sir."

*Standing up, Derek placed himself in between Andor and Amanda, just in case.*

*Recognizing their names, Andor's body visibly relaxed and his voice returned to dynamic that wouldn't bust anyone's eardrums. He then slipped his lightsaber back into his sleeve. Giving both Derek and Amanda a slight nod of his head in acknowledgment, Andor spoke.*

=Andor=

"Ah yes, Derek Chilton. My general in orbit alerted me of your arrival. My name is Andor, Dark Lord of the Sith. I am the emperor here on Nubia and your father is currently under my protection."

*Suddenly, with the order given to open fire, the entire Winter's Breath Fleet open fired on Aeon's incoming shuttle. The darkness of the galaxy was lit up with flashes of red and green as various typers of bolts and lasers flew through the open space, all of them trained for the tiny shuttle, which would be destroyed in the blink of an eye if its shields were not already activated. And if they were, it would only take one or two shots to render the shield useless, and then another shot or two to charcoal the ship entirely.*

*And with all the blaster fire opened up at the same time, Aeon and his crew were as good as dead.*

From her prior training with her master back on Mustafar, Amanda could tell when she was in the presence of one powerful in the Dark Side of the Force. Her hand slipped out of Derek's as she placed both of her arms at her sides and adverted her eyes to the ground. She didn't want to eye the Dark Lord, nor did she want to show any sign of disrespect.*

*Derek gave a audible sigh of relief as Andor replaced his lightsaber and relaxed. Lucky for them that Andor was expecting them. Standing back up on his feet, Derek bowed to Andor, showing a sign of respect.*

"My apologies once again, Lord. If you don't mind, Amanda and I are kind of lost. Could you please take us to Mr. Stockwell?"

*Andor smiled and nodded at Derek's correction. Swiveling around on his heels, he proceeded the way he had came, motioning with his hand for Derek and Amanda to follow him.*

*Andor would then lead the couple through the maze of passages until he finally reached a closed steel, sliding door. Pressing a button on the computer console, the door opened with a hiss. Motioning inside, Andor spoke.*

"Micheal Stockwell is inside. If you need anything, just ask the nurse, she know's how to get a hold of me."

*And seemingly in the blink of an eye, Andor was gone.*

*Turning to Amanda, Derek motioned for Amanda to enter before him.*

"Your father awaits you, Amanda."

*Andor quickly moved through the corridors of his palace until he came to the small, private hanger bay. Boarding his Nemesis-Class Patrol Cruiser, he started it and the engines roared to life. Then, his ship rose into the air and headed for his fleet, orbiting in Nubia's orbit, where one of Andor's greatest enemies was about to arrive.*

*Even after she was spoken to, Amanda still didn't speak nor made any signal as if she wanted to talk at the moment. When Derek moved to follow Darth Andor to where her father was rest, Amanda followed behind but kept her hands folded in front of her. She appeared humbled by the Sith Lord near her and didn't want to seem as if she was ungrateful for what he was doing. But a question popped in her head as she walked behind the two of them.*

*Since when do the Sith or anyone that follows the Dark Side of the Force actually take care of others, let alone a complete stranger? The Sith were known for being cold and heartless and seeing something like this was actually putting Amanda's mind into a spin of some sort. As soon Andor disappeared and Derek directed Amanda to her father, the young girl seemed to relax and went and stood next to her father's tank. He just floated there, not moving, but at least alive.*

*Derek stared at Amanda's father as he floated about in his bacta tank. He turned his head and saw a nurse stride forward. Smiling, Derek addressed her with a word of greeting.*

"Excuse me, Nurse. I am Derek Chilton and this is Amanda Stockwell. Micheal is her father. Can you give us a status report on his condition please?"

*Smiling, the nurse nodded and gave a brief response.*

=Nurse=
"Of course, Mr. Chilton. It is a pleasure to meet you and your girlfriend, Amanda. Mr. Stockwell has been in his tank now for about 15 hours. He has been put under severe stress lately and he had a few broken ribs. The bacta tank should have him healed properly in no time."

*Suddenly, a small beep went off from the bacta tank.*

=Nurse=
"In fact, he should be waking up any second now... Oh my! What happened to your shoulder? It looks absolutely horrible."

*Alarmed by the Nurse's sudden outburst, Derek looked at his shoulder that had been shot by Anven back on Mustafar. Giving a cheesy grin, Derek winked at the Nurse.*

=Derek=
"Oh. That. Yes, I was shot by some mercenary when I put myself between him and Miss Amanda here. I'm just glad I didn't take one to the knee."

=Nurse=
"Well, go ahead and take a seat at the medical table and I'll clean up your wound and put a few stitches in it. It shouldn't take long."

*Then, the nurse walked over to a small table and rolled it next to a table, on which Derek placed himself. Opening the second drawer of small mobile table, the nurse removed some thread, scissors, a bacta syringe and a few bacta patches. Then, wiping down the wound with a sanitation wipe, receiving a small cry of pain from Derek, the nurse set to work while Amanda was surely conversing with her father, who would have just woken up from his deep slumber.*

Re: The Emperor's Palace

*Lord Exitius, also known to his closest friends as Zalera Seraph, had just arrived at the Emperor's Palace on the planet of Nubia. Behind him was a trail of torn grass and dirt from his appilication of Force Speed. Exitius 'blurred' his way to the palace when he saw his ship landing nearby. The question was this: How did his craft, which he left on Mustafar after the group he was with allied with, now on Mustafar? Had the Federation followed him all the way out here? If so, he would execute every last man and woman that would dare use his craft in an attempt to track him down.*

*While Exitius made his way into the palace with his slugthrower firmly gripped within his right hand, Amanda was studying her father closely in the medical bay. Being the young woman that she was, she still couldn't believe that the war on Mustafar could have ever been created by her loving father. Why would he orchestrate a war that would nearly tear the entire system apart? Before making the jump into hyperspace with Derek, Amanda saw countless bodies within the cold grasp of outer space. Burning derbis from destroyed vessels littered the orbit while the Dark Angel fleet watched over with stained authority.*

*Amanda hadn't seen so much death and destruction since the war her father served in when the Seraphs first took over the system. But why was this happening again? What purpose did this Rebellion serve? Amanda never received harsh judgement from the Federation nor did she hate them. In truth, she was going to apply to be one of the Force Users that served within the ranks, so why was this war enacted now?*

*Michale Stockwell, the man blamed for the destruction of Zion, was now only starting to wake up as his daughter looked up upon him. His cold black eyes opened and as he looked around to get a sense of where he was, he finally spotted her. For just a moment, it seemed like he just studied her, as if he couldn't believe it was actually Amanda standing in front of him. Without smiling, a single tear slipped from his left eye but disappeared quickly into the bacta as he faded back into the blackness from his injuries.*

*Amanda turned around to smile at Derek but when she faced him, she couldn't smile. Her light brown eyes were frozen and fixed upon the man that just stepped into the door. The Sith Lord's eyes were burning brightly with a disgusting shade of yellow as he scanned the room. When his eyes fell upon Stockwell, he seemed to relax, but as soon as he noticed Amanda and Derek, he raised his pistol and held his right index finger on the trigger.*

Re: The Emperor's Palace

*As the nurse continued to clean Derek's rather nasty looking shoulder wound, he noticed that Micheal Stockwell had briefly woke from his sleep (or possibly coma?) and had caught sight of his daughter. Derek smiled as he realized Amanda had noticed too.*

*His voice was soft with affection as his comforting words would ring in Amanda's ears.*
"You just made his day, Amanda. Your father's will to live has just increased a thousand times over. You are his life. Plus, he's glad you too are together again."

*Then Amanda turned around to look at Derek. But instead, Amanda's eyes looked over Derek's shoulder and widened with fear as she looked in the direction of the door, which Derek had unfortunately placed his back too.*

The Harbinger wrote:"Who brought that freighter here?!"

*Derek's eyes widened with surprise as he realized that the voice was not of Andor's. It was the voice of yet another stranger, and even with Derek's very weak connection to the force, he could feel the darkside soaking in the stranger's words.*

*The nurse gave a small shriek and froze, the stitches in Derek's shoulder only half-way completed. Turning his head to look over his shoulder, Derek saw a man, with his pistol aimed right for Derek's back.*

*But that wasn't the scary part, oh no. It was the man's eyes. Those sulfurous yellow eyes sent an inhuman, chilling shiver down Derek's spine. And for the first time in his entire eighteen years of life, Derek was lost for words.*

*With his body beginning to slowly shake with fear, Derek's words stumbled out of his mouth, but he couldn't make any clearly articulated words....*

"W... We.... Found.... Mu... Mus... Tafa.... Ca....Came... With... Daught....."

*And then Derek's eyes went blurry and he began to sway on the table... Finally his eyes rolled in the back of his head, and fell into the dark abyss of unconsciousness, his head falling back and crashing sharply on the metal table, with the nurse standing in complete fear and in an obvious state of shock.*

*It was all up to Amanda to save the day this time.*

Re: The Emperor's Palace

*The Sith Lord, still very much possessed by the Dark Side of the Force, turned the pistol in Derek's direction when he heard the young man attempting to form words and speak. The boy was barely able to speak correctly when Exitius turned his eyes upon him and farrowed his brow. If what he said about bringing his freighter to Nubia to 'ferry' Stockwell's daughter to safety, then Exitius might be just a tad forgiving. At least they did return his freighter before the Federation was able to get their paws on it. After just a few seconds of holding his gun steady, Exitius dropped his arm slowly and holstered his weapon. No blood should be shed here, or maybe not right now.*

*Amanda nearly blacked out from the Sith Lord entering the medical bay, but she was able to stand aware and awake by remembering that her father was right behind her. Conscience or not, she doubt the Sith would kill her directly in front of her father....or was he that evil in the first place? When Amanda appeared to look calm, Exitius blurred from the door and stopped nearly Derek in almost a blink of an eye. The Sith Lord glared down at the young man as the venom began to spew from his mouth.*

*Finally coming out of her initial shock, the nurse took a large gulp, looked at the unconscious boy in front of her and then at the new darksider.*

"Excuse me sir, but I do believe Lord Andor brought them her. The boy introduced himself as Derek Chilton and the girl as... Oh shoot... Amanda Stockwell I believe."*The nurse acknowledged the girl,* "in fact, I believe she is Micheal's daughter."
