Re: The Hidden Temple

*TSTS shuttles arrived at the temple after a short venture through the atmosphere. One after the other they set down at the facilities landing pad and began to unload their cargo and passengers. Woks of the Flock pulled hover-sleds jam packed with supplies and mining equipment.* *The temple was hidden from sight, with only the Order of the Eye and former Techno Union knowing of its location. The Order and the TU had several dealings years ago, and since then the planet had changed hands between their members several times. Tirus was the last peep in charge and no longer affiliated with the TU, but he use to be one of its leaders, so the affiliation was still applied. Other then that, the temples location was something of a secret.*

*Five hundred TSTS employees were destined to live in the temple, turning it into a home and work place.* *Mining was the intention, even though that wasn't really the TSTS's specialty. Even so, they'd make a go of it. How hard could crunching up a few rocks be? You get your pick, you hit the stone, get your ore, and send it away for processing. Simple really.*

*I hope.*

*The first order of business would be to get the shield generators up and running, as well as to get the employees moved in. Woks could be heard all over the temple, calling "I get top bunk", followed by some pushing and shoving.*

Re: The Hidden Temple

*Mining had barely started and already the Woks of the flock found themselves overburdened with work. Their new accommodations proved some getting use to, but overall the hidden construct was rather spacious. Mining was not really a big deal either since the machines did most of the work. It was when the TSTS shuttles started arriving from Hoth that the work load really got heavy. Transports full of lumni-lichen and refinement equipment was dropped off along with instructions for spice extraction. Apparently the company's CEO was of mind to use the temples secret location as a spice production facility.* *What most weren't aware of was that at one point or another, Dragus(Victor Azzameen to the the TSTS) had been in control of Ylesia. Spice production was nothing new, and now that they had access to the rarest form of spice in the entire galaxy, the boss planned on making use of the narcotic substance.* *A large lab was set up in short order, with staff training on each piece of equipment until they were certain they understood how it worked. Separating the spice from the lichen was something of a lengthy process, not time consuming mind you, but it did take some time to remove the oil from the moss. In its lichen form the moss still would have been narcotic enough to bring on hallucinations, but in oil form it was easier to manipulate it and distribute it accordingly. Plus the pure lumni oil was a heck of a lot more potent than the unrefined version. Of course some of the staff thought it only proper to began testing the product themselves. Lumni-lichen rolled up in a paper joint, burned and inhaled brought on one hell of a euphoria. Plans were made to distribute narcotic sticks as soon as a stock pile was raised in sufficient amount.*

Re: The Hidden Temple

*Well lo and behold, the next shipment of moss came in abundance. After being off-loaded from the cargo ships, the Woks brought the lichen to the lab for extraction. The spice was then separated from the plant and refined into grain form. The grain was then sent to two different packaging stations. The first packaged it as a fine powder, with the intention being that this spice would be used to lace other narcotics or to be snorted. The second station saw the narcotic wrapped up in thin paper joints. These were put into packages of twenty-four sticks, each imprinted with the TSTS logo.* *While spice was illegal on many worlds, it wasn't outlawed in every system. Chances are the lumni-spice could be distributed to multiple worlds along the Rim without issue.* *These packages were then sent to loading bay where they would soon be taken off-world.*

*The mining stage of the operation was progressing at a fairly rapid pace. Already the Woks had dug out a whole sprawl of tunnels extending out from the cavern in which the hidden temple was located. The tunnels were dug deep enough that they could be detected by scanning from the surface. The heavy rock formed a barrier that concealed the hard working miners labour.* *The mining was completely legit, but the TSTS wanted to maintain the secretive status of their outpost on the planet. No sense taking risks when the Rim was rampant with pirate and hooligan folk.* *Precious ore was carted out to the docking bay where shuttles waited to take it off world. Most of the shipyards had their own processing plants so only the raw materials were collected.*

Re: The Hidden Temple

*Upon hearing word that the pack of Lumni-Spice blunts reached the Warlord of the Eye, a great cheer rose amongst the Woks of the flock. It was celebration time, and what better to use to celebrate than the spice they were producing.*

*Everyone knows Ewoks like to party. Don't believe me? Go watch Return of the Jedi. Those little guys knew how to throw one hell of a shindig.*

*Gamorrean ale and doobies were passed around the mining outpost. Ewoks of all shapes, colours, and sizes lit up and pounded back a few cold ones. The pig swill was harsh, but plenty cold, and for the miners who spent all day swinging at rocks with vibro-pics, well, it was just what the doctor had ordered. Of course with doobies came cravings, which meant the kitchen was soon to take a hit. Unfortunately Taivas was a little isolated in its place amongst the Rim, so ordering a space pizza was out of the question.* *Don't get me wrong, they could order the pizza. It is just that it wouldn't arrive until about a week later.*

Re: The Hidden Temple

*Along with the latest shipment of lumni-lichen from Hoth, a boat load, err, starship load of animals came as well. Being led off the TSTS transports were a couple of Tauntauns and Dragon slugs. Not full grown dragon slugs, mind you, those would be way too big. Little ones. Baby slugs.*

*Operations on Hoth had been proceeding well to the point where extra attention could be given to attending to livestock. Hence the latest gift for the hard working miners of the TSTS.* *Ewoks could be seen riding on the backs of the dragon slugs, hopping all over the Hidden Temple, smoking some of the lumni-joints they had processed. Other Ewoks that were destined for the mines rode the tauntauns, allowing them to get from one end of the tunnel to the next a lot quicker than their two little furry legs could carry them.*

*Now I know what you are going to say. But Draggy, what about the smell? Aren't tauntauns supposed to stink? Well, yes, that is true. But consider this. These Woks of the flock, they are among the very same that had been collecting their own waste while aboard the Twin Sun Station. They were used to a little stink. In fact, tauntauns didn't even smell bad to the nose of Ewoks. They smelled like strawberries, which I will have you know, Ewoks love.*

*Hippity hop from one end of the shop, bouncing around with joy that could rarely be found. The dragon slugs also proved helpful in one other regard. They breathe fire, so whenever a Wok needed to torch up a doobie, all he had to do was stick the end at the corner of Mr. Frog's mouth.*

Re: The Hidden Temple

*A new section was made in the caverns around the hidden temple. Storage for the narcotics was beginning to get tight, what with a heavy supply coming in from Hoth at several hours throughout the day. All of the waste left over from the lumni-spice extraction process was burned, used additionally for heating the facility. Upon the surface the temperature was even, but down beneath the ground, the temperature dropped considerably. Eventually it would heat up, depending on how deep they went, though for now they kept most of their activity within a half kilometer distance from the surface. Wooden crates full of packaged joints were moved into the new supply area. When the TSTS ships arrived, it would be moved via hover-sled and stored aboard the transports for delivery elsewhere in the Empire. Imperial territory was vast, making the demand for the substance that much greater. It was a strain on the Woks that managed the facility just to keep up, though they were diligent in their duty. Unlike most of the other aliens in service to the Famine Lord, the Woks actually earned a wage. They also received special treatment for other various reasons, though we won't get into listing exactly what that entails just yet. The point is that they were highly motivated to keep up the pace and see that supply met demand and was never, or at least rarely(lets be reasonable here), found lacking.*

Re: The Hidden Temple

*In one corner of the operation, a supply of processed narcotics were stockpiled. The words "Wedding Party" written on a sign posted just above the area, making it clear what they were intended for.* *With Dragus and Chirpa's wedding in the planning, the Woks of the Flock had plenty to do. Not sure who would be in attendance, but knowing how much the NOE like Spice blunts, it was a simple task to set aside some of the finished product for the after party.* *Crisp lumni-joints printed with the Azzameen family seal were loaded into boxes, then further loaded into crates full of styrofoam packing pellets. The stockpile of narcotics would sit put until the wedding's location had been determined.*

*Hopefully Bright Tree Village, but we'll see.*

Re: The Hidden Temple

*As you can imagine, upon discovering that his personal stash of Sith weed had been replaced with parsley, Dragus was one unhappy Ewok. Production of the lumni-spice joints increased several fold as a result. I'm not sure how many fold, probably a few. Let's say seven. No, that might be a bit much.* *Think Dragus, think.* *I'm trying! Don't you start pestering me now.*

*Anyways, more joints meant more work for the Flock of Ewoks. They were still getting a supply of lumni-lichen in from Hoth on a regular basis, though with the recent increase they were being pushed to capacity. Some of the poor little guys had to work overtime, which sucked Sarlacc balls when you knew you weren't getting paid for it.* *I mean, technically they are. Unfortunately that stuck up GEC refuses to accept hugs and kisses as a form of currency. Get off it, Odin. Some of us trade in love instead of credits, you greedy Allfather.*

*Woks dragged the fungus from the hangar down into the refinement facility, using their tauntaun and dragon slug mounts to haul the lichen in on sleds. Lil'Bacca, the cutest one eye'd Ewok this side of the Rim, oversaw the operation from the back of his pet dragon slug, Kermit. The inseparable pair whipped the lazier Woks into shape by spitting fireballs at the rumps of those that were slacking.*

"Ribbet, ribbet." *Said Kermit.*

*Lil'Bacca looked down at the mount beneath his legs, patting the creature affectionately.*

"Oye, I know Mr. Frog. Things are coming along nicely." *He growled, then took out a lumni-spice blunt and held it out in front of the dragon slug. Kermit breathed through his nose, burning the tip of the blunt which Lil'Bacca quickly brought to his mouth. He took a hit, then passed it to the frog, er, dragon slug.*

*With a little bit of spit and effort, there would be enough product to see the guests of Dragus and Chirpa's wedding got their Dark Side high on.*

Re: The Hidden Temple

*After the rascally Dragus and his furry flock vacated the planet, the Hidden Temple was largely abandoned. A service team of Imperial techs were given full freedom of the facility, bringing it back up to the standards expected of an NOE garrison. For days they worked hard into the night, bringing in equipment and setting up all the various nuances associated with this sort of isolated existence. Being somewhat engineer-minded, they transformed the vacant space into a mechanical marvel. Hydraulic doors, automatic lighting, power generators and central air. All in all a very comfortable setup.*

*It was on the seventh week of the operation that a lone figure arrived at the concealed landing pad. They disembarked from what appeared to be a modified TIE Avenger coated in a glossy black finish. The figure was large, standing near seven feet.* *It would have been a tight fit within the starfighter's cockpit.* *He was bulky as well, though under closer inspection it became clear why. This was no Imperial officer on inspection or stocky pilot making a pit stop for maintenance. This was a machine, more specifically, a Sith Elite Warbot.*

*The history of these units went back a long ways, but their use within the Order was considerably shorter. Among all the Eye's trusted lords, only the one that had transcended physical form was known to make regular use of these droids. This unit belonged to the Machine Lord, Commodore Starkiller. As one of his scions, it served as a commander of his fleet, an extension of his will, and a bringer of organic destruction.* *Crafted from alchemical means, the armoured figure stank of the Dark Side, despite being unable to make use of it. Held in its left armoured gauntlet was a spike studded maul housing a powerful shockwave generator. In its right was the long barrel of an Imperial Heavy Repeater, affixed at the end with a serrated bayonet blade. Its cold mechanical photo-receptors drifted over the two servicemen that had chosen to meet it at the landing pad, inspecting them with its malevolent gaze.*

IC: *Mechanical Tone* "Starkiller Unit 739-B2D-44S5, reporting for duty."

*The two servicemen, who until that moment had appeared apprehensive at the sight of the wicked droid, each let out a sigh of relief. They exchanged a knowing glance, smiling as the considered how unnecessary their nervousness had been. Their attention returned to the droid as its voice boomed again, steely and offensive.*

IC: *Mechanical Tone* "Unit's orders...remove organic infestation from this facility. Orders acknowledged."

*In an instant the maul held in its left had came up, striking the first serviceman in the head and causing his skull to explode outwards in a shower of gooey bits and bone fragment. The rest of his body fell back onto the landing pad, dead before it even hit the ground. The other servicemen barely had time to let out a shriek before the droid was on him. Up and forwards came the rifle held in the droid's right hand, piercing the human's gut with the long serrated bayonet blade. The tip of the knife emerged from the man's back, severing his spinal cord in one swift motion. Squeezing the trigger, the warbot fired a torrent of metal slugs through the serviceman's gut, blasting away his midsection. The human dropped onto the ground beside his companion, little more than a pile of bleeding organic debris.*

*Without hesitation, the Starkiller unit stepped atop the refuse pile he had created and strode straight for the facility.* *The data he had received informed him that the facility housed an additional forty-eight human staff. It was going to be a busy day.*

Re: The Hidden Temple

*It had taken some time but eventually the facility was free from organic taint. Unit 739-B2D-44S5 stood alone on the landing pad connected to the temple, looking skyward as it considered the events of the last few days.* *Routing out all the fleshlings had been difficult, what with the warbot operating alone and the fleshlings being quite numerous. Add in the fact that there were plenty of places to hide and you had a cat-and-mouse chase that was bound to confound the isolated unit.* *The warbot discarded his spent repeater rifle, having long run out of ammunition while clearing out the complex. His power-maul was coated in a slick layer of gory filth which the unit seemed remiss to remove. There was something about the gruesome appearance of the bludgeon when coated in organic matter that stirred simulated feelings within the automaton. Between his heuristic processor and the Starkiller Virus, the mechanoid was more attuned to what could only be described as "emotion". He leaned on his maul, waiting for the first transports from Pzob to arrive.* *Starkiller's feral droids were reclaiming the facility so that they might be able to continue their cult practices in secret. Their particular form of worship was not always appreciated by all of the Eye's children. The Council understood the need for it, but the tyros and non-gifted personnel occasionally responded poorly to the display of sadism.*
