The Turning of the Tide

Location Creation Request wrote:Scenario Name: The Turning of the Tide
Brief Description:

*The nefarious forces of the Dark Tide wish to sack the Jedi Temple upon the surface of Coruscant to send a message to the Order, that no where is safe and that no one shall be spared. The forces of light, surprised and seemingly out numbered strive to drive back the tide of darkness*

Scenario Leaders: Torian Pierce/ Arcanus Sunstrider, The Holy Man
List of Locations:
Region: Core Worlds
-> System: Coruscant
--> Location: Galactic City
---> Sub-location: Jedi Temple
--> Temple Ziggurat (Already in place)
--> High Council Chamber (To be added)
*Located at the peak of the southeast tower of the Temple, this circular chamber granted its occupants a rare glimpse of Coruscant. The Chamber itself existed in several incarnations over the years as the Temple grew, expanded, moved, and relocated. However, the room has always kept the basic circular shape accessed by a single turbolift, high arching windows, and a ring of twelve cushioned chairs for the members of the august body. Each of the stone seats were equipped with a holoprojector that could be used when a Council member was attending the meeting from a distant world.*

--> Tower of Reconciliation (To be added)
*Located on the southeast corner of the Temple, the Tower of Reconciliation was designed to symbolize unity and the steps to enlightenment each Jedi must take. The masonry of the spire was supported by a highly-tensile substance known as magnate, which aided in the support of the thin frame of the tower. The tower was crowned by a Council Chamber, like to that in each of the other three Council towers of the Temple. Atop the spire were a series of reception/transmission antennas which, along with a constant connection to the HoloNet, tapped into the cosmic energy fields of the galaxy itself in order to stay in contact with Jedi on far-flung planets. The central topmast of this unique array of antennas was a powerful multi-frequency eradicator/scrambler that when coupled with the eradicators incorporated into the tower’s frame scrambled all communications in and out of the Temple. Communication bundles in the wall cavities fed data from these masts, through the columns within the Council chambers, to the Operations Planning Center. Receiver vanes within the walls of the spire converted signals from hyperspace locations into real-space coordinates before displaying them on the map.

Ascending from the base of the tower was a dedicated turbolift crafted by great Jedi architects to incorporate Force-inspired, internal dynamics, allowing for the different sizes and shapes of the Order’s members to ascend the narrow spire. At the base of tower was a reception and entrance hall leading from the roof of the Temple Ziggurat into the center of the tower. Two large bronzium statues flanked the entrance; their lightsabers crossed over the entry, lifting to allow access to the Tower. The hall beyond was dotted with six bronzium statues of long dead Jedi, with two doors to either side, leading to curved halls. A large memorial statue was held in the cavernous center shaft of the Tower, held by repulsorpads. A bridge spanned the lofty shaft of the tower, passing around the chest of the statue and into a chamber on the other side. Near the top of the tower, three Contemplation Stations were spaced evenly from each other to provide a meditative retreat for Jedi preparing to go before the Council. Master Yoland Fee maintained a garden in the tower which supplied the refectories with herbs and vegetables. This chamber, located high in the tower, was unofficially off-limits to most Jedi as Master Fee disliked when students took herbs and spice from his garden.

Each spire was also equipped with a hangar; though they would be completely refurbished just before the Clone Wars began. A landing platform extended from the hangar mouth, allowing for ships to land and depart away from the Tower's structure. Located fifteen stories below the council chambers, the hangars were connected with a small garage that serviced the space craft. Also within the Tower were the chambers and offices of Jedi Council members.*

--> Ziggurat Hangar Bay (To be added)
*Located fifteen stories below the Council Chambers in each tower, the hangars occupied three levels of the Spires. On the main hangar level, the outer wall was lined with twenty garages where individual ships could be stored and sealed. Twenty-eight more ships could be stored directly in front of the small garages. The room was bisected by a walkway that led to the extendable platform. On either side were two platforms which could lower down into a larger work area. Over the center of the room was a circular command center that coordinated flight patterns of the ships stored in the hangars, as well as controlling the hyperdrive docking rings that waited in Coruscant's orbit. The room was accessible from a turbolift that ran the height of the Tower.*

--> Jedi Temple Entrance (To be added)
*Following the construction of the main Temple Ziggurat, the east entrance to the Temple proper was established at the terminus of the Processional Way. Beginning from the procession as a flight of stairs, the entry way was flanked by six towering bronzium statues of legendary Jedi Masters of the era. Beyond the stairs was a towering stone gate, split down the center allowing passage into the entry hall. Four stories in height, the hall was bisected by a pillared mezzanine that brought visitors in from the main boulevard and led into the Great Hall. The columns of the mezzanine supported two additional parallel bridges above and to the side of the main walkway. Below the entry mezzanine was an open chamber with additional balconies and hallways leading deeper into the Ziggurat. Impressive bronzium statues flanked the entry mezzanine, their hooded faces looking directly over the central bridge. This entry way was destroyed in 3,653 BBY when the Sith Empire sacked the galactic capital.

After reconstruction, the Processional Way would once again lead to a main stairway which was now crowned by four bronzium statues, two depicting Warrior Masters and two Sage Masters. Beyond the staircase three rows of four massive pylons rose from the large courtyard area; the forward most pylons depicted bas-reliefs of the four Jedi who founded the Temple. Passage under the pylons granted access to the empty stone and duracrete courtyard which led to a set of red-and-white pillared stairs and the darkened passages that led into the Temple Proper. The Entry Hall soared several stories high with a broad area tessellated by stairs and ramps. A large statue of a female Jedi stood at the center of the chamber; to either side of the sculpture ran a two level bridge that stretched the length of the chamber. Between the support pillars of each bridge were life-sized statues of famous Jedi from all time periods of the Order. Beyond the rear wall of the entry hall was the Great Hall, a meeting place for large numbers of Jedi. From the mouth of the entrance, a long meditative corridor ran perpendicular along the perimeter of the Temple complex.

Following the Temple's destruction during the Yuuzhan Vong War, the Reconstruction Authority recreated the ancient edifice almost perfectly. The stairs were reconstructed without the statues of the Four Masters, while the main hall had extra security systems built in. Security droids were stored in several pillars along the hall, controlled by Temple Security and program to detain any intruders that might break into the Temple.*

List of Members: The exact list is iffy as we're still waiting on some people to do the second check in. However in this lovely little link is that last list we drew up before the Holidays.
