Description
Contruum Six-Contruum Six was a planet in the Contruum system.
A small, icy world with only two notable cities, Contruum 6 was basically an outpost of the major Mid Rim center of Contruum, with which it shared the same star system. Relative remoteness within the system was combined with excellent hyperspace links, however—the Perlemian Trade Route lay just a micro-jump away, and two micro-jumps brought you to the Hydian Way.
For this reason, Contruum 6 was used by the Galactic Alliance as a major staging-point in the final stages of the Yuuzhan Vong War, where half the Alliance's available warships, including battlegroups from as far afield as Eriadu and the Imperial Remnant, gathered prior to the Liberation of Coruscant.
Contruum Shipyard - The Contruum shipyard was a shipyard in orbit of Contruum. The complex was a modest shipbuilding enterprise and built sleek destroyers during the Yuuzhan Vong War.
Borium Mines - Contruum was known for its borium mines and foundries.
Champion City - Named Champion City as a tribute to Contruum's long standing resilience against invading forces from all around the Galaxy. This is the capital city of Contruum.
Freedom Plaza - Named for Contruum's undying freedom during the Yuuzhan Vong war. Freedom Plaza is a symbol of hope for the citizens of Contruum. In addition to holding housing many monuments dedicated to the glorious history of the planet, Freedom City houses many of Contruum's upperclass and political figures, and is the planets major business center.
Cracken's Crew Cantina - Cracken's Crew Cantina was established in dedication to a team of Contruumian resistance fighters led by Airen Cracken who, following the subjugation of Contruum by the Galactic Empire, formed the unit and began to engage in a campaign of mechanical sabotage. Their graffiti tag "Cracken's Crew Says Hello" was found upon destroyed or disabled supply depots, mining operations, star docks and landing bays.
The Crew's efforts distracted the local Moff long enough for militia to form, and together their combined resistance was sufficient to force the Imperial forces into retreat. One of the members of the Crew was Cryle Cavv, from Ryvellia, a personal friend of Cracken living on Contruum.
Following the liberation of Contruum, Cracken and his Crew joined the Rebel Alliance, providing their knowledge of sabotage and field tactics to the growing Alliance military. Thus Airen Cracken and his crew are honored by each patron who enters the establishment and each time they enter they are reminded that "Cracken's Crew Says Hello."
