Tower of High Priests

*In accordance to their strict religious structure, the force sensetive priests of Ithor rule over their people and preserve both their culture and their planet. The Tower of the High Priests is a vertical structure that rises above the main obseervation and living domes atop the Tafanda Bay. This is the center of government of the Herdships. There is a large and exquisitely decorated reception area that leads to a turbolift which transports guests and delegates to the higher levels. There is a large, circular council chamber where decisions are made and requests are reviewed.*

*Under the Illusive Man's new sphere on influence, the Ithorian Council now accurately and anually collects tax revenue from it's citizens. The tax is a small one, but provides The Illusive Man much needed funds for his other covert actions. The taxes are collected without problem and wired to The Illusive Man.*

Re: Tower of High Priests

*D'artagnan and his guards escorted the new arrival to The Illusive Man's secret office within the Tower of High Priests. The group arrived at a large black and gold door after taking a private and highly defended turbolift to their current location. D'artagnan put his hand on Favian's shoulder.* "I don't know who you are, but if HE wants to see you personally then you're something special. Don't blow it."
*He said as he and the guards entered the turbolift and dissapeared.

The Black Door opened on it's own accord. The Illusive Man was sitting in a large expansive room at the end of the hallway. Holoprojectors created a spectacular scene of fire and space. The Illusive Man was dressed in an impeccable suit with shining black shoes. His right leg was crossed over his left and he nursed a brandy in hs left hand. He put the drink to his lips and took a sip. There were shadows that played across his face, hiding it from view, all but his mouth and eletric blue eyes.*
"I've been expecting you. Please come in."

Re: Tower of High Priests

*The Illusive Man crossed his left leg over his right and struck a match against the arm of his chair. Reaching calmly into his pocket he withdrew a cigarette which he lighted with care. The Illusive Man looked at Favian appraisingly.* "Very well let's get down to business. My sources tell me there is something brewing on Iridonia. I would like you to investigate on my behalf. I'd like information on who runs it, it's purpose and If this place seems legitimate I would like you to inquire about the possibility of me establishing a small recruitment/security office there. You will receive a sum of 2 million if the mission is a sucess."

*Starts thinking about how much he needs the money.*
*Nods to Illusive and turns around and starts walking to the door. But right before he leaves with his chest to the door as it is opening he turns his head to the right and asks*

IC: What is my time limit?

*The Illusive Man accepted the papers and glaced through them. After reading their contents he plunged the butt of his cigarette into the papers and smiled as the papers caught on fire. Droping them at his feet, the papers bruned until nothing remained but a pile of ash.* "You have earned the 2 million. Would you like the money wired to your account or in cash?"

*The Niktos nodded and departed...

The Illusive Man contemplated for a moment.*
"There is something else... I have several major investments on the Mid Rim world of Dressel. I need someon I can trust to live there and watch over it. I have thousands of guards there and many trusted officials, but nothing can beat the observations of an unafilliated stranger. Just keep an eye out on goings on, report anything strange to me. Do not make it look as if you work for me. Do not interact on friendly terms with my soldiers or officials. You are my personal spy there."

Re: Tower of High Priests

*The shimmering Image of the Illusive Man stopped pacing and turned to face the Ithorian Priests.* :: I believe that the environment has been established in which the talents of your acolytes, a select few be cultivated to become the defenders of Ithor... To use the Mother's gifts to defend her spiritually and physically. ::

*The Ithorian Priests stirred at the announcement. One of the priests Horo Mado began to rumble his vocal cords in response.* << Why do you wish to do this now? Are you leaving us? >>

*The Illusive Man smiled broadly* :: No. I am not, I will remain among you as long as you desire me to. However, out of respect to you and your planet, I believe that you should defend yourselves, prepare yourselves for any and all threats. By teaching your acolytes force bellow we can create a strong Ithorian backbone to our defenses here. Your people will rejoice that it is their people defending their planet. Some do not trust me... If they see Ithorian defenders they will take heart in my vision. ::

Re: Tower of High Priests

*In accordance with The Illusive Man's decree, the High Priests begin teaching the more agressive or inspired force adepts the way of the voice. As training begins the already powerful seismic throat attack employed by Ithorians as a last defense mechanism is honed and refined, augmented with the force to create a powerful defensive weapon against those wishing harm upon the Ithorian people. A single cadre of Ithorians trained in Force Bellow could decimate invading troops and vehicles.*

Re: Tower of High Priests

*The Illusive Man stood in the now empty council chambers. He had already been informed of the imminent arrival of one of his agents, returning from Iridonia. The Illusive Man walked toward one of the Tower's Windows and looked down... It was strange being on a massive space station and looking towards a forested floor as if it were the surface of a planet... There might be something poetic there but he was never one for poetry.

On the forested floor, below the Tower, The Illusive Man's incentive seemed to be working. He smiled with satisfaction as he watched several groups of Ithorians crumple metal targets with their force bellows... The already powerful sonic attack produced by the Ithorian's four throats was amplified tremendously with the force, making them capable of destroying bulk heads and tearing through armor, simply with their voice...

The blastdoor to the room opened with a hiss, and The Illusive Man turned around, his blue eyes glowing.*
"Needs to be done? You tell me Mr. Rendar. Are the Iridonians worthy allies or do you think we should crush them now before they become a problem?"

Re: Tower of High Priests

IC: They're a very violent race, trust me, they cant be trusted or even expected to carry out orders that arent from their leaders. Ive done Spec Ops here and i'll conclude that the Op didnt go as planned. I say we crush them now and strike where it hurts. I know this planet and the people. Its not to be trusted.
