Re: Xandras quarters

*Frowning a little at Danny's last words wondering how he took such a scale of death with such seeming ease. He didn't unnattached to feelings, but something seemed colder in him than she would expect. Shrugging off her thoughts she turned after him, indicating that Ari should follow them to the Temple entrance and keep guard, ready to intervene if needed.*

*Stepping into her room she throws her belongings onto her bed, not bothering to close the door behind her as she is aware of Ari's footsteps on the stone floor behind her walking over to her shower she turns the water up as hot as she could bear and slips under the cascade feeling her muscles unwinding and the feel of cold that hadn't left her since the storm finally ease away, hearing the door to her quarters click shut she turns off the water, reaching out her senses to check that it is Ari that has just entered her room. The only darkness beyond that of the temple itself comes from outside, feeling someone unfamiliar moving into the temple, heading from the shower to the window she guessed his arrival was hidden by the sound of the pouring water. Picking up her weapons she fixes the belt around her, guests of Azrael came and went and there was no reason to think this person was not a friend, but Xan would be careful still. Sliding on the arm guards carefully, she practised triggering the device, the smooth sliding action of the blade extending from her wrist gave only a whispering sound. Kneeling on the floor she placed herself into a meditation, feeling the Force around her, totally aware as she tried to detect any threat that might be close by. Across the room Ari took a position guarding her door, Xan knew the droids weaponary would be trained on it ready to defend her if they came to close without invite.*

Re: Xandras quarters

The door slid open and Ava felt just that minute warning through the Force before the droid opened fire upon her. She rolled to the side instinctively whipping her lightsaber from her belt and igniting the long blade.

She batted away more of the crimson bolts with the green of her blade, into the floor, ceiling, walls, bed, everywhere. It was a complex weave of motions trying to keep the blaster bolts at bay. Every now and again one singed her skin around her arms and legs or near her bare chest. Yes, unfortunately the leafy makeshift bra had come undone and now lay smoldering in the floor.

She darted back out the door and down the hall away from the crazed droid. No clothes were worth that much of a fight. Backing down was not in her nature but it seemed that her ability to engage the robot would be far too long a wait.

Re: Xandras quarters

*Xan stood by the window gazing out across the jungle outside, it had been so long since she had left the temple and the world was passing quickly without her feeling like she was part of it any longer. She seemed to have spent the last few months in meditation and practise, becoming stronger with the Force and her abilities but losing touch with the world around her. She missed her friends, she missed everyone, the only visitor had stumbled in during her meditations and Ari had seen to her... a shame it would have been good to talk... but she was not ready for talking then. Spinning from the window a glare coming across her face as it darkened in anger at herself for not understanding what she was supposed to be doing with this power she had found herself with.

She noticed Ari taking her as she stalked to her bed seizing up her book and opening to a chapter she had never read before, struck by a picture of a female that seemed to feel the same anger and frustrations that she had. Sitting down, but with no display of relaxing Xan read the chapter with a fervor that had gripped her, excited to read about this woman and her people. As she finished reading she leapt back to her feet seizing her things and packing them her bag, with a nod to Ari he rose from his semi-dormant state.*

"Go get Kes ready for take off, make sure it is ready for a long flight I'm going looking for something. I just need to do something first."

*Handing her bag to Ari to take down to the ship for her she headed out the door with a feeling like it would be the last time she was likely to see her room here.*

Re: Xandras quarters

*The long sealed chamber door slides open to admit a dark figure, who enters the room carefully before beginning an inspection of its contents in an effort to deduct the whereabouts of the previous occupant. But even his Holmesian perceptions tell him very little. She had not been here in a long time and seemed very unlikely to return; not surprising really, for there seemed little to return too. Like this room, nearly every other in the temple had a thin layer of dust and the scent of stale air. Perhaps one day the power of this place would again be harnessed....but it was not this day.

The figure turns to leave, but just before reaching the door he spots a single clue which leads him to a very inconclusive hunch. Perhaps some meditation would provide him with more answers. He swipes a trinket of the former owner as he leaves - the faintest trace of her still lingered on it, and perhaps with time, he could magnify this into some sort of crude compass. Or perhaps not...but he'd try nonetheless.

After the figure leaves, the door closes once again. Perhaps for the last time?*
